I had no idea Canada was known for donuts but I can now understand why. The donuts are super light and airy which I prefer. The reason I don't care for donuts at least in the US is because they're always so dense but it was the complete opposite here. I showed up after work and OMG they were super busy. B and I found their donuts ok and if you wait till next day to have them they are edible but a lot denser and not as good like many things. Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.
