Came to Nemesis on a Saturday morning and there was a long line out the door. I got the almond double bake and a pourover and we ate outside on the picnic bench tables. The coffee was excellent as was the croissant. Surprisingly I would say 90% of people were ordering for here rather than to go, which probably led to the line buildup. Great spot for a slow morning.

I don't remember the name of this, but it was something savory. I did not like it, but it was the best looking thing in the case.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure what all the hype is about. It's a small little shop with not a lot of selection. Nothing popped out at me as looking good or sounding good. I just ended up randomly picking something out of the case. I don't know how to say this other than everything in the case looks burnt. It's very dark brown and mine wasn't super moist. I didn't think the coffee was that good either. I didn't even finish it. The seating is not comfortable, but I guess that's to get you in and out fast. Nothing about this place would make me want to return again.

Recently been to nemesis cafe in gastown as I always crave croissants. Ambience is good and it's a very busy cafe so may be very popular. I wanted to try chocolate croissants but those were out of stock . I took pistachio mango croissant - mango was more of jelly like texture. It was good in taste. Ube matcha was my first try ever and initially I found it peculiar and bitter in taste but later I started liking it. Staff is nice and very accommodating. I will try to go early next time to try their chocolate croissants. Would recommend this place.

I stopped by Nemesis Coffee after seeing them reviewed on TikTok. A line was formed right up to the door when I stepped in and they had a nice crowd already enjoying vittles. The gentleman taking my order was friendly and recommended The Queen croissant since I was visiting. It was incredibly flaky, but honestly, I wish I'd ordered something else. It just felt a little too basic. I wanted something that would have excited my tastebuds more. I also tried the viral Mortadella Supreme - a croissant with mortadella, mustard aioli, egg, and Swiss cheese. The sandwich was good, but it wasn't very hot when it arrived, and I expected a bit more from all the buzz. One thing I did notice was the timing. My croissant came out almost immediately after I found a seat, the sandwich took a while, and my latte didn't arrive until I'd already eaten a few bites. The latte ended up being the only thing served hot. That said, I enjoyed the overall experience. The staff was welcoming, they help guests find seating when it's busy, and I can see why it's a popular spot. My first picks just didn't quite wow me, but I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu if I'm ever in Vancouver again.

Didn't expect this place to be so packed. Lovely coffee/brunch vibes. The wait was long but the staff has a good system going. There were a lot of beautifully made pastries on display. We were hoping they were more flaky but that wasn't the case. The flavors were good though. A lot to choose from! The one we had was their matcha mango yuzu cruffin. They only offered two options for pourovers. Couldn't really taste the flavor notes for either one of them. Maybe I'll have better experience next time!

Paid parking lot underground garage with elevator access to front entrance of Nemesis cafe. Although it's outside a college, prices are not student friendly. Not a place to sit a work for hours. Ok for just 30-45 minutes. Be ready to pay $$$. Music on louder side. The food at first glance looks and sounds like every other upscale coffee place with expensive croissants and loafs, BUT, when you order off their menu you get a very nice palatable surprise!!! The chef has designed really gourmet modern twists using familiar ingredients like Asian style pork belly eggs Benedict or asparagus danish with yummy mozzarella cheese grated on top. Very unexpected and very tasty in a premium experience way. Like Michelin star level. The reason I have four instead of five stars was because of my ordering experience. I had stood at the counter waiting to order. Awkwardly waiting for the staff to finish chit chatting. And then giving me a little look like I'm interrupting their conversation. The person who ended up serving me was pleasant but my first impression was made. The architecture was very aesthetically unique compared to anything else that I have experienced. I thought it looked and felt like I was inside an apple. Not sure what it was though!! It's quite over the top for a coffee spot or restaurant, but considering it's right next to Emily Carr University, it makes more sense that the building is art too. Would come back again.

Last week, after having brunch somewhere, walked over from the waterfront to this café to grab a latte. There was only one family ahead of me when I entered, who was asking questions about bean recommendations. The person at the order counter was really helpful providing them with good information. When it was my turn to order, it was quick since I had already selected beans that I wanted to purchase, and my oat latte. Option was asked if I wanted to dine in or takeout, and I went with the latter. After I got my drink, I took a seat on one of the benches they have outside the store. There's also a decent amount of indoor seating and an outdoor patio section in front of the store. Not my first time trying Nemesis since I've been to Vancouver before, but definitely a reminder of why they are listed as one of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. If I wasn't so full from brunch, I would have also gotten one of their pastries. Seeing them all was very tempting.

Went on a Saturday around 2:30pm and they had already run out of a lot of pastries so we just got drinks then came back the next day to try the food. There's a pretty good amount of seating here if you want to sit and chill for a bit but it was pretty busy when I was there. Service was also great and everyone was really nice Flat white: 4/5 this was my first time trying a flat white in general and it was too bitter for me but I liked it a lot after adding almost a whole sugar packet. I ended up trying this both hot and cold bc I ordered the wrong one on accident and liked the hot one more Pull apart bagel: 4/5 the flavor on this was good but I wish there was more cream cheese on the inside. The inside of the bread was nice and soft and the outside was a little crispy. Good overall but I usually prefer stuff like this warmed up Mortadella supreme: 5/5 def recommend getting this! They warmed it up and the croissant is super good, especially with the runny egg yolk Note: my boyfriend also liked the guava cheesecake he ordered but the drinks overall were a little smaller than I expected

This place is all about the beans. They have blends from different origins. They don't have specialty lattes but you can add milk and simple syrup. The place was nice, the staff were fast. The pastries were my favorite here. The almond croissant was perfection.

THEIR BFAST SANDWICH!!!!! Mortadella supreme 10/10 - favorite cheesy, savory, eggy perfection - croissant was also perfect flakiness - sauce is immaculate - TikTok did not lie about this one Bodega 8/10 - potato bread was thicccc, not rly my fav - okay sandwich, nothing too special in terms of flavor but it's solid - sandwich fell apart super fast, sauce was okay with this combo - still good tho Hojicha latte 6/10 - not much hojicha flavor, very milky - not rly sweet at all I wish I could've asked for more sugar Matcha latte 7/10 - matcha quality is meh - very milk forward as well - not rly sweet also but was okay in this drink versus the hojicha Overall, service was immaculate. 10/10 the cashier was so nice and was so patient. We got our food to go but we were waiting for our uber for a long time so we ate in the store. She noticed that and gave us napkins. I felt so bad we should've just ate there at that point but they didn't make us feel unwelcome at all. Our uber came after we ate everything :( the vibes inside this coffee shop is perfect for a cute lil coffee date or friendly catch up but def not a study/work here type of coffee shop. Would come back!! Maybe to try their coffees instead. That was my fault.

I thought Nemesis was so impressive! I went in expecting a normal coffeeshop and yet the food and presentation absolutely blew me away. The staff were nice, quick to clean up any dishes they saw laying around without bothering you, and everything in the establishment was very clean. I wish I lived in Vancouver so I could come back

(Left) cortado w oat milk, (right) triple blue seasonal special
    Selina T.

We were staying in downtown for a family trip so stopped by here for coffee and breakfast. It's a cute cafe, clean and was quite busy for a weekday morning at 10a. However, our drinks and food came pretty quickly and everything was delicious! For drinks I ordered my usual cortado with oat milk and hubby tried their seasonal special (triple blue with blueberry, blue cheese, blue matcha and hojicha). My cortado was excellent and I could taste the quality of the coffee whereas the triple blue was very unique and tasty without being too sweet. The flavors of the triple blue blended surprisingly well together! As for the food we ordered the Morty supreme and bodega sando with bacon. Though I liked both the Morty supreme was my fav out of the 2 (the croissant bun put it over the edge with its flaky crispiness). Definitely worth a visit!

Well, I'm almost done my circuit of all the Nemesis locations. Stopped by for an outing here. Not as many pastries as other locations but seems like they have proper meal items. Got their rice pudding cruffin and an iced hojicha. The hojicha was great and quite strong. The cruffin was very flaky. Got a taste of the orange chocolate croissant as well and likewise very flaky. A bit louder as the location isn't as big, but service was good overall. Gotta come back here to try their food items.

One thing noticeable about this restaurant is the lacking of plates. They used majority of their plates to serve the food on. However the food were served as finger foods and we were expected to hold our food in our hand. Somewhat strange. They also ran out of glasses during the party. The bartender couldn't even keep up with our drinks. Anyways other than the above. The event was a great event. I got the opportunity to try all four of their mocktails: - Blueberry Basil Lemonade - Mango Lavender Lemonade - Minty-Berry Sour - Pear Lavender Sour All their drinks were very fancy prepared and my favorite are the Minty-Berry Sour and the Blueberry Basil Lemonade. I also found that there is some inconsistency in the glass they serve it out of. The food was delicious as mentioned before. My favorite out of their finger foods were the grill cheese brisket. OMG that was really good. The other memorable items are the porkbelly and fried chicken. I think the fried chicken is one of their popular items on the menu served during brunch. The cheesecake at the end I got was very soft but flavorful. The cheeseburger slider was really good too. Overall I really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere and decor of the place was nice. The restaurant is very small. Because we were over 100 people, there was a wait for the 3 stalls in the bathroom. There was not enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit. I think the restaurant can comfortably maybe accommodate around 40 or 50 guests max. I will definitely be back again someday to try their brunch menu.
