Voted in Top 100 Places in US and Canada for Croissants recently on Yelp, so I added on my radar to try. This is located in a part of Phoenix I'm rarely out to, but had a meeting at the Phoenix Rising Stadium in the morning so added this as a morning pit stop. This place is hopping on a Saturday morning, and seems to be well-loved by the community. I can see why it made the list, and heck, the only Arizona location on that list! One small gripe was that I ordered a regular croissant, and received a ham and cheese croissant. I try to refrain from eating meat, so my cousin had to enjoy while I only had the very outside of the croissant. It was very flaky and delicious however! I also tried the Bavarian Cream donut and iced Thai tea. The iced Thai tea was personally too sweet to me, and I'll stick to tea shops. Overall though, we were happy! Both their donuts and croissants are tasty, so check them out if in the area!

Really fresh and wide selection of donuts. Got there at 5am and they were missing a few, so I would suggest getting there after 6 most likely. HIGHLY recommend the croissant and ham and cheese croissant with jalapeño. Donuts were still soft and tasted good the next day.

Stopped in the morning on a weekend for a treat. There was a decent amount of variety of options for donuts, pastries, and drinks. There was a line and the staff were quick and helpful. The location is small but welcoming with a few sit down seats. The parking lot is easy to navigate with multiple entry points. We ordered a croissant which ended up being a ham croissant which was a little disappointing. We didn't really eat it because neither of us like ham. The donut was good. This location was far from home, but I'd stop in if in the area again.

Rather is the best!!! We read that this is#5 on the best donuts in America list and decided to make the drive here. At first, I thought that this couldn't be the place, but double-checked my source and it was. It's kinda pushed back closer to the Mountains but not too close and upon entrance, it seemed like a donut factory with all of them to-go carry-out boxes piled up but this is due to the many orders that they receive. They have some great tasting donuts as they are not sweet at all they taste kinda "good for you" The fancy donuts($1.69) are fluffy in taste, and I wanted 4 but they only had 2 so Rathar made me 2 more right there on the spot... how sweet!!! I did notice that I was overcharged by $1.69 as I only bought 4 fancy donuts and she tossed in donut holes for me to taste she said... but perhaps, she upsold me those for that extra$1.69 In any case, I'm not complaining but, just check your receipts at all establishments these days. Js‍‍ Are they the best? Depends on if you like sweet-tasting donuts or donuts that taste SugarFree. They are good though! Customer service sold me more so! The donut holes are sweet and taste like real donuts so there ya have it! It's worth the drive to taste for yourself

SO YUMMY!!! We randomly stumbled upon this place and we are so glad we did. The donuts were all extremely fresh and they had a large amount of variety at 10:30 AM. The maple donut was so tasty and the apple fritter so probably the best I've ever had! Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

They are so sweet and appreciative of their customers ! Since the Starbucks boycott has begun I have switched to coming to Sunrise donuts for my coffee and even better they have more than just coffee and their treats are better than Starbucks ! I came in today for some boba, iced coffee and 6 donuts and when I came home to open the box I realized they added in some donut holes for free they are too sweet I love this place !

Ham, cheese, egg sandwich if you like breakfast jacks from Jack-in-the-Box this is a way better alternative for the same price and can get homemade food and donuts very great breakfast sandwiches if you're in the area of Laveen.

This donut shop is your typical donut shop. It has a variety of donuts. The only downside is that not all the donuts are ready when they open. I stopped there a few times to pick up some donuts for my co workers, but all they had was glazed donuts. I was actually surprised. read more

I went here just for the boba because I love boba but the donuts looks so good so I have to try it. The boba is ok but the donuts are AMAZING! It's so soft and delicious! Went back the next morning to try their ham and cheese croissants and it's so good. I highly reccomend their donuts!!! My husband and I keep on coming back ever since we tried this place! read more

Best donuts ever! If you like melt in your mouth type of donuts then this is going to be your favorite donut shop. They have an amazing group of people working behind the counter. Donuts are super fresh and so good. Try the apple fritters as they're one of the best I've ever had plus it was huge. Service was wonderful and fast. If you're in Laveen or south Phoenix it's worth the trip. read more

Donuts are definitely good! But I was overcharged a couple dollars, I didn't catch it until after I left (which is my fault) and I don't feel like driving back. Plus the customer service was just mediocre at best. And every time I go they never have turkey, only ham. When I asked why they replied "no one ever orders it". I think maybe this should be taken off the menu :). 5 stars for donuts, just irritated I had to over pay. They are good but not that good lol. read more

Went to sunrise for breakfast because we heard that had breakfast sandwiches, so ordered 2 one with sausage and egg and one with bacon and egg. They were good, asked for Tabasco or Tapatio ( so wanted spicy) and they didn't have anything. Also bought donuts and they were very soft so definitely fresh. The woman behind counter that took our ordered had to call over another lady because she couldn't understand that we didn't want cheese on one of the sandwiches but that's ok the order was right. Will go back for donuts but maybe not so much the breakfast sandwiches. read more

A diamond I the rough this place. Definitely a great location my husband and I discovered it not that long ago and we were pleasantly surprised. The donut are soft and delectable. The staff is always so friendly and the place is squeaky clean. Oh and the milk tea is to die for. Every time my husband and I go somewhere else for milk tea we always compare it to sunrise and no one has ever matched their taste. This place is beyond amazing. Everything is so good! Except the pineapple doughnut. It tasted like the smell of a pineapple air freshener. Besides that the powder, long john, maple glaze, custard filled, and cinnamon crumb were delicious! Yes we ate them in one sitting with a glass of whole milk. My soul was content after that. Another Yelp success, stopped by on vacation, best freshest donuts I've ever had. Seriously amazing. Also had a ham and cheese croissant (one with and one without jalapeños) the real ones are amazing, but one day they were out and tried nuking a croissant with ham and cheese it wasn't great. I came from LA where there were donut joints abound and this was the first spot that reminded me of shops at home. They also have smoothies, milk and Thai tea boba ! The staff is really friendly and you can always count on them to have tasty fresh pastries in stock. Take some treats to work or treat the kiddos on the weekend. If you're looking for something fancy hipster and gentrified this ain't it! Sunrise is just simple folk providing friendly service. read more

Amazing donuts!!! Soft, sweet, and savory! Their blended vanilla latte is also recommended, it's very silky and good for people that do not like strong coffee.
