Came here to feel nostalgic about my childhood and to curb my craving of a brown sugar donut. The atmosphere is the exact same as I remember, and we were greeted by both employees working. The donuts were in great supply, as the picture shows, and my friend and I were able to order swiftly. Prices are great, our total of 3 donuts coming to $5.79. If you're ever in need of a donut, come here! read more

I've given this place multiple chances, but unfortunately the customer service continues to be disappointing. The employee who helped me was extremely rude, and this is not the first time I've experienced this here. Instead of politely asking for clarification, she raised her voice and came across as irritated when asking about the size. She also rolled her eyes, which felt very disrespectful. I understand that everyone has hard days, but professionalism should still be maintained--especially when it's a repeated issue. Customer service makes a big difference, and experiences like this make it difficult to want to return read more

Bought a dozen donuts and found metal imbedded in it and I also ordered a milk tea and she gave me the boba all soggy.

Everything is delicious. Get the iced coffee! Get a muffin! Get a gallon of fresh milk you won't be disappointed. Great breakfast spot. They have lunch and loyalty cards read more

Rainbow donuts surpass Bosa donuts! They do need to work on their customer service skills. It was my first time going there, and the young lady at the counter was short with me asking questions about the donuts. I guess not surprising based on the neighborhood of this location. I'm sure she has to deal with sketchy people all the time, but nonetheless customer service needs to be worked on. Ambiance of the donut shop was not that great but I didn't care because I just wanted the donuts. read more

This boba is worth your money when I'm feeling boba or donuts I get this place I recommend it

SO GOOD These donuts remind me of the rainbow donuts back home in Westminster, California. I love cake donuts and these were fresh and perfect. The apple fritter was also so good. I'll be coming back to take some to my coworkers at the office. Great customer service too. read more

We have been going here for years! They staff is really friendly and they remember the regulars! They also give my toddler a free donut hole every time we go and she loves it! We use our punch cards and take advantage of them to get out free half dozen as well! Their donuts aren't the only amazing thing, their sandwiches are really good! Especially if they're on croissants! And their drinks are a plus! read more

Donuts amazing! Boba Yes! Definitely a place to go to if your craving something sweet

Been craving donuts and decided to come here because of the bacon donut and reviews. They didn't have much selection. No bacon donuts or croissants. I bought a chocolate twist, maple long john and a dozen glazed donut holes. They weren't all that. As usual Arizona people over reacting with how bomb a place is. I won't return. read more

Horrible service, took almost 30 minutes for a dozen doughnuts and two drinks to come out. On top of that they had my drink wrong like why even sell boba if you don't know the difference on it. Girl working clearly had no clue on boba menu like?? On top of that she was rude like lol. read more

Best donuts I've found in Phoenix (moved here from LA recently). Really like the ham and cheese croissant and the jelly donuts. Friendly staff, everything is always fresh. read more

Was going to Dublin, but came in here due to time. They are A rated... good choice of donuts for my customers... serve hot items and various foods... good stop! read more

They have the best donuts in town! The only place I buy donuts from. The donuts are very soft on the inside but crispy on the outside. They also have very delicious muffins and croissants. Their boba drinks are delicious also, I recommend the Thai tea and the taro, those are my favorite. The blended coffee is alright, tasted to me like more milk and sugar than coffee, but I only tried it once so idk. The service is always great, very friendly. Definitely recommend this place, especially for the donuts. read more

All Donuts are Not Created Equal If you're under the impression that donuts are donuts, then you havent been to Rainbow Donuts. We needed a quick breakfast before Church and stumbled upon Rainbow Donuts. Rainbow Donuts offers amazing donuts in various flavors and fillings. These donuts have the perfect texture and taste. I had regular glazed, chocolate cream filled, and a cinnamon sugar donut, and each was delicious. Rainbow Donuts is a small shop with a handful of tables to eat at, but as we sat many came in and purchased donuts to go. A dozen donuts was around $9, not a bad price. read more

Last June, I was looking to purchase several dozen donuts for my students on the last day of school. However, I was stuck! I could not think of a single donut shop between my home in central Phoenix and my school on 91st Avenue. Then I remembered driving by a Rainbow Donuts before on McDowell, closer to central Phoenix. After doing some research online, I discovered this location in the heart of Maryvale. Before arriving at the donut shop, I called to place an order. I arrived and the order was not ready, but I was not upset because I had gotten there well before my stated pick-up time. Nevertheless, everyone at the shop apologized and got my large (something like four or five dozen) order ready in no time! The shop, while located in a strip mall that has clearly seen better days, was bright and clean inside. I was impressed that a number of locals were "dining in" and enjoying donuts and good conversation in the small shop. It bothered me somewhat that there is a fee for using a credit card, but then again I can understand that for smaller businesses, transaction fees can really eat into the profit margin if you have people buying a single donut on their Visa. The donuts were excellent! They tasted "homemade" and are much better than the donuts available at the Valley's two mega chains (Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts). In particular, I enjoyed the bear claws included in my mixed dozens. If I ever want to treat my students (or myself) again, I will be sure to do so at Rainbow Donuts. read more

I go out of my way to stop by Rainbow Donuts every time I'm on the west side of town. The doughnuts are excellent and the owners are very, very nice people. Highly recommended! read more

Soft! Delicious! Perfectly sweet! Favorite donut place out of all donut places. Personally I'm not a fan of the other donut shops like Krispy Kreme and Bosa Donuts etc. with the extra flavoring added to make the donuts "different" Rainbow Donuts has soft, sweet, and enjoyable donuts. This is the place to go to when you just want an old fashion donut. read more

I'm totally a fan! Located in an unassuming corner convenience shop at N 51st Avenue and Thomas Road, Rainbow Donuts is definitely a "hole" in the wall (N.B. they sell doughnut holes too!). Counter staff were really pleasant and my box of doughnuts - a couple of apple fritters, a couple of glazed, and a couple of crullers - were delicious. The cruller I had was fresh and sweet and yeasty and full of unneeded, but yummy, carbohydrates. Don't be perturbed by the shop's exterior....the interior is full of delectable doughnuts, all served with a smile. read more

they gave a mean ass attitude no smile and forgot half our order and charged us extra

I love the TARO and HONEYDEW BOBA HERE! THE DONUT IS GOOD TOO! I mainly come here for the TARO and HONEYDEW BOBA SLUSH, I've tried other flavors such as mango but the flavor for it was more just scented than actual flavor. This spot is family owned and for the most part they are nice and good people, i'd stop by for more donuts and boba if it was closer to me - also the ham and cheese w/ jalapeno croissant thing is bomb! read more

I bought donuts, they were really good. But I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and it tasted like rotten mint, and I can drink anything ! I asked politely for either a refund or a different drink and the man got all rude with me and started telling all the customers that.. we'll basically you get what you get. So I left my drinks and went, so rude. Ugly ass read more

I freaking love this donut shop! The girls and owners are just as sweet as their treats! Their donuts are always fresh and never taste like old oil. P.S. right now you get a free donut with purchase of a large smoothie! My favorite is blended mocha read more

Thank god an actual donut place. Great donuts muffins and croissants. Great coffee too. Oh and I can't forgot the really nice staff.

I live in Scottsdale and do not make my way to this side of town often. But when I do, Rainbow Donuts is a place I must stop at. There is something about the way in which these donuts are fried, maybe it is the oil it is fried in? These donuts are not only dense, but they are fluffy...I know it sounds impossible but Rainbow Donuts makes it happen. The owners are always pleasant and makes the experience that much more enjoyable. My all-time favorite donut: the Old Fashioned. read more

Very good boba . I came to this 2 -3 times a week for a month .One day I lost my punch card and was due for a free drink and I asked what could be done and they would to see the card and nothing could be done. Well if they feel as though not giving a 4 dollar drink to me was worth a future of sales , that's okay by me. parking is really rough here too. DONT COME EARLY ON THE WEEKENDS. read more

One word: sugar-coma (ok two words technically.) I got a dozen donuts for work, well a few for me too ;) the donuts were fresh and delicious. I also got my favorite Thai tea with boba and unfortunately it was disgustingly sweet. It tasted like sweetened condensed milk was added. I like it a little sweet, but it was overload. Next time I want to try their more savory items. I'll be back! read more

Stopped here today for a quick bite. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich combo. It cost $6 and came with chips and a drink. The sandwich itself tasted ok, but they were very skimpy on the meat. I was unsatisfied. There was not enough meat to cover the round croissant acting as the bun. The sandwich was cut into two halves and as I was about 2/3 done eating each piece, I was left with a large shell of meatless bread. The way it's wrapped in wax paper, makes you think the sandwich has more meat than it does, but it's all in the center. The outer 1/3 of the sandwich is just bread and mayo. The chips were unremarkable. The soft drink (coca cola) was terrible and that's the reason for a 1 star vs 2 star review. It was hot outside today. They had no AC running. It was uncomfortably warm inside their dining area. They have a fountain behind the counter and they filled the cup with ice. I finished the soda within a minute. It was probably an actual 8-9 ounces of liquid. Less than a can's worth, for sure. I was still thirsty. Before I left, I asked if I could have a refill. She said it costs 50 cents. They filled my cup with ice, and it was a fountain dispenser. So we're talking a few pennies in syrup for the coke. And there was almost zero carbonation. I think they were actually pushing you to need a refill by using so much ice. I told her I didn't appreciate the gouging and I was never coming back. I don't understand restaurants that nickel and dime you instead of trying for repeat business. read more

Delicious fresh donuts and awesome staff. Definitely recommend and you won't be sorry!

My second favorite donuts in the world. I'm all about the chocolate longjohns.
