    Salmon Katsu Overload
    Shelby I.

My go to for the best plate lunches! Every food truck event I go to, I always look for this one! And most times, they're there! They are always hustlin' & always have a line. I mostly visit this truck at Pearl Country Club (now Pearl At Kalauao) for their monthly night market. My #1 to get here is their Salmon Katsu Overload and it's only $20!! It comes with 1-2 filets of fried katsu, topped with imitation crab, mayo, unagi sauce & Taegu! Not only that, salad, a bed of rice, & a kings Hawaiian roll. Overall, great deal for such a hefty plate! I'll definitely be looking out for this truck at my next food truck event!

My husband was scrolling in the yelp app and saw several yelpers yelp this place on sand island access road. So today being a holiday we tried them. And boy the yelpers weren't kidding about the food. Thanks to yelper friend Allen N. He had the pork adobo fried rice and boy hes wasnt joking it was good and alot. My husband had their mini breakfast with bacon. Wow 3 eggs any way you like it made and 2 thick slices of bacon. My husband said it was too much rice for him. But it was good. My fried rice was good in the taste and the pork had some fat and lots of meat. The taste was spot on good. I have the leftover for my dinner and my husband will have smoke pork belly plate for he's dinner. No dessert today I ask the cashier and she smile. Maybe this week might have don't know. Will be back again. Please note: They do make it fresh so be expecting to wait for your food.

After reading reviews from Jo Y. and Allen N. I told my wife let's give Str Eats of Aloha a try. Yes this is simple eatery. An interior is just a display counter for their desserts and a register. Along with a menu display sign. Service was friendly. They had a sign letting you know that food is prepared to order and it would take a few minutes to do your order. I ordered a mini breakfast with Guava Bacon. It came with two thick slices of bacon and three eggs made your way. I also ordered the Guava Pork Belly for my dinner. My wife had the Pork Adobo Fried rice. We both enjoyed our food and would not hesitate to come back.. Lots of food for the price. Jo Y. and Allen N. thanks for your reviews of this restaurant. Enjoy

Str'Eats of Aloha is a hidden gem in the Sand Island area. Generous portions, bold local flavors, and a wide selection. Everything made to order, so be prepared to wait, especially during the lunch rush, the line can get quite long. Highly recommend a pork adobo with fried rice. The taste is ono.

After following Str'Eats of Aloha for almost an entire year, I was finally able to catch the food truck at the Megabon Hawaii 2025. If you know this place, you're familiar with the large plates of food put out on front of the truck, all consisting of local and asian comfort foods such as shrimp katsu, Teri beef, fried noodles, and more. I ordered the Town & Country, which came with two massive shrimp katsu on a bed or of char sui fried noodles, an order of teri beef, and a large scoop of rice. If you see this food truck, run, don't walk to it. The food is ono, and you'll be wanting more as soon as you wake up from your kanak attack.

I heard good things about Str'Eats of Aloha and decided to stop by for lunch. The young lady taking orders was really nice and patient as I asked about the different plates. I ended up getting two #2 bentos , which came with a piece of shrimp tempura, mandoo, garlic chicken, teriyaki beef, noodles and rice. I also got two guava smoked meat plates and a dozen butter rolls. The plates were $14.50 each, and they are really generous with the portions; the plates were worth the price. The garlic chicken was really flavorful and paired well with the noodles. The mandoo had a really nice umami flavor that went nicely with the teriyaki beef and noodles. My daughter and son-in-law both agreed that the smoked meat was absolutely delicious, but everyone agreed that the butter rolls were absolutely perfect! They were super soft and absolutely delicious! This will be my go-to place for butter rolls from now on. I'll definitely be back to try the roast brisket with gravy because I heard good things about this plate, and they were sold out when I got there.

Absolutely mean plates for the money. Can't even finish it in one sitting even though the taste buds want more.

Located I. Sand island, parking can be tight at peak hours, was lucky , got a spot. Called in order, they do get busy. Ordered, Da manapua special, was winnahazzz. Kinda close to when I was a child. 2 pork hash, fried noodles and fried chicken. I also ordered the lechon kawali, was another winnahazzz! They sell desserts, wanted to get the ube cream puff but I think it's on certain days. This shop is only take out. Friendly staff, and many other specials. Will definitely come back, see you there .

Went to Str'Eats of Aloha and got a Bento #2 which came with Teri beef, Garlic Chicken, shrimp Tempura, Mandoo over a bed of fried Noodles with rice and furikake. ok I've been meaning to eat here for a while and I guess it was worth the wait the Teri beef tasted good although not the flavor of old times it was good. The Garlic Chicken was tasty and the noodles were as good as it gets. The Mandoo was okay but good enough and the Shrimp Tempura was pretty good too. The plate(Bento) reminded me of some old Massive plate lunch spot of long ago was so heavy! Parking was adequate although I can see it get crowded at times. The counter girl was pleasant and made the experience good. I definitely would come back again!

Located right off Nimitz Hwy, on Sand Island Access Road in a small strip mall. Greeted by a friendly face, the gal taking the orders didn't rush us to decide. Take note: they aren't a fast food restaurant. They make everything as it's ordered. So if you're in a rush, maybe try someplace else that day. Both bentos were packed heavily & piping hot. Fried noodles weren't anything to complain about but weren't as tasty as others I've had. Teri-beef was soft & flavorful, mochiko chicken was hearty & tasty. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.

    Town & Country - delicious!

Str'Eats of Aloha -- a food truck that travels all around the island for events. We haven't been here in probably a couple of years. We were in Kailua for an Oktoberfest fall event and saw their truck! It was fate, as we were drinking and needed food to soak up the alcohol. We got our favorite dish, Town & Country for $20 and it was enough to share between 2 people. The plate lunch has a little bit of everything, my favorite part is the shrimp katsu which is crispy and juicy. It was just as good as we remember. I'm glad we didn't have to stand in a long line like the past. Recommend for big eaters or people who like to have leftovers for a good price!

It was his dream to open his own authentic Japanese restaurant using his special omakase experience from Japan and one of the first authentic sushi restaurants in Honolulu. It was a concept of "bringing Japan's finest to Hawaii" with a desire to "build a bridge between the two cultures of Japan and Hawaii." In 2018, operations were taken over by Testsuya Matsuda. A 2nd location was opened in Kahala in Jan 2024 by Hiroshima Mazda, whose specialty is traditional Japanese sushi (or omakase). Yohei Sushi 's menu offerings include: * Teishoku (or set meal). Comes with miso soup, rice, Japanese pickles, cold soba noodles, seasonal side dish. Main entrees are sashimi, tempura, maguro, misoyaki butterfish, ahi steak, saba. Salmon, ahi belly, katsu, and more. * Sushi Bar. With miso soup. Menu offerings are deluxe & standard assorted sushi, maguro don, Chirashi sushi. * Noodles. Choice of udon or soba with various combinations, e.g., nabeyaki, tempura, tororo, tanuki, zaru, kitsune, tori, tukimi, kake, and ojiya udon. Also, combo meals of tendon/noodle, sushi/noodle; and donburi of unaju, oyako don and ten-ju. * Side order & ala carte. Includes sashimi, chawanmushi, ika, shinkomori, murokyu, soft shell crab, miuzuku, Hiyahakko, edamame, tempura. Ahi belly katsu, misoyaki butterfish, saba, seafood tempura, maguro temprta, ahi steak, salmon. We've had the following: * Tendon and Noodle. Deep fried tempura of shrimp and assorted veggies in a rice bowl with sauce & hot udon. Very filling and tasty! * Tempura Teishoku. This teishoku had 3 large pieces of fried tempura shrimp and assorted veggies, e.g., carrot, eggplant, green beans, pumpkin, that were light and non-oily. Our teishoku meals came with pickled veggies, cold soba, rice, and miso soup with lots of wakame and radish sprouts. Very flavorful! They also offered a complimentary birthday scoop of ice cream with a dollop of an as a topping, which was refreshing and paired well! * Maguro Tempura Teishoku. Hubby's choice of fried tempura tuna set, and he noted that there were 8 large tender pieces of maguro that was lightly fried and non-oily. Very delicious and filling! * Unagi nigiri. The unagi was so flaky, tender, and light and had the right amount of sauce. Loved it! The presentation of the meals was beautifully plated with real, authentic Japanese small dish bowls and plates. The food was of good quality and very flavorful! Customer service was excellent! Diners are greeted by staff upon entering and thanked when leaving. The old-time servers were very patient, attentive, welcoming, and gracious! Our food orders came out in a timely manner, and the servers, with smiles, frequently asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. Hours of operation are: lunch daily from 11a to 2p, dinner from 5p to 9p, closed Wed. Happy hour is from Thurs to Tues from 1:30p to 5p. Located in Kokea Center that looks like a run-down strip mall at Dillingham Blvd and Kokea St, the restaurant interior has a great ambiance as if you were dining in Japan, as it is comfortable and welcoming. It was amazing to see almost every table was taken by dining customers. Reservations are a must, as people are turned away. Good thing I called for lunch reservations at 12:15p on a weekday, which was tha last table available. And the restaurant was packed the entire time that we were there! Free parking in the private lot shared by other businesses, as well as metered street parking. What can I say about da grub? Simply O.U.T.S.T.A.N.D.I.N.G!!! My BBQ Chicken came out on a hot sizzling platter, & underneath the BBQ Chicken there was grilled onions. Yum! The chicken skin was crispy, and the sauce was deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! Nicely executed! I met an high school friend there and was excited to sit and visit. She had never been to this…read morerestaurant and enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. When we arrived it wasn't busy but the dynamics quickly changed as the lunch crowd arrived. Our choices for lunch made the experience positive. Service is quick, food is fresh and ambiance is comfortable. I've been here a number of times and enjoyed it every time. My friend said she's coming back. Thank you Utage for the great service, fresh food and ambiance of comfort wanting to return again.

Glad we had a reservation (even though we went for an early lunch). The place hasn't changed, the decor is the same What was nice was that there were a lot of wait help so service, even when it was busy, was attentive. Food was plentiful. Previously I had ordered the teishoku tempura but next time I'll order the tempura and side of rice. My sister did this and she had such a large serving of various tempura. I think there was four shrimp tempura (the teishoku didn't have as much. Most of the time I've been here the parking was available. But because there are so many other restaurants and stores the parking lot was usually pretty full but perhaps because we were lucky or early there were many spaces. I keep telling myself I need to order bitter melon. But I never do. Maybe next time
