I came to get a to go order and as I sat at the bar the 2 employees are busy looking at their phone and the other was on her computer looking like she was studying. Just no human connection today. They were attentive when someone walked in as I sat there But after people where seated it was back to computer and phone. No eye contact not even when he handed me my bill. Leah and him were talking about him making it to his class on time. 1200 on 2/17 I get it life is busy. This a customer service job and not once did I get eye contact not even when he handed me my food. The food was good! I got the pork sandwich. It was delicious everything from the pork to the pickles to the sauce to the bun on point I got Cajun fries with the fry sauce and the fry sauce is amazing. This is great food. Customer service needs work.
Absolutely disappointed. We waited for about an hour and 15 minutes, maybe an hour and a half. 5 soda refills later our food comes out. The chicken pot pie was so salty, Luke warm at best, and I'm honestly not entirely sure the chicken was cooked all the way through. I would have thought the wait was due to the pot pie cooking but was very mistaken. I picked out the chicken and tried to eat what I could because I was starving, but was pretty off put but the meal. We had a part of 4 and 2 of them ordered salads. This place is so cute, but honestly an enormous bummer to have traveled from out of state and had this experience.
I've been here for dinner and brunch now, and it's one of my favorite places to eat in Provo! It has the classiest ambience. For fine dining, it's very reasonably priced as well. For dinner, I got the mac & cheese appetizer with their fried chicken, and it was the perfect portion size! Everyone else at my table raved about how good their food was, so we all recommend any of the fried chicken sandwiches or salads! For brunch, I split the farmer's breakfast and the Belgian waffles with my sister, and both were absolutely divine. The waffles in particular were so light and fluffy, perfectly cooked. The biscuits are a must as well! Very buttery, perfectly salty. Oh, and did I mention their sodas are to die for? Most of them use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, if you care about that kind of thing. The caramel apple soda was a favorite at our table! The service is fantastic as well. Mostly young adults, all very attentive and professional. We will definitely be coming back!
Everything from the service from Leah to the decor ambiance and food were spot on. Highly recommend! Mac & Cheese we added sirloin, fried pickles, and the McConaughey Steak Sandwich with fried green tomatoes so so delicious!
This is a cute little restaurant. My sister and I both got the 22 club and loved it! It was a great portion size. We both got sweet potato fries with ours which were good, but could've used a little salt. Their fry sauce was not my favorite but to each their own. We got seated really quickly after getting here on a Friday evening which was amazing! Our food also came out pretty quickly. The only negative thing I have to say is that we were sitting waiting for a while after we finished eating for our waiter to come back over to us. Other than that the staff was super friendly and the food was good!
They said their mac & cheese was the best in Utah two years in a row, so I gave that a try. The mac & cheese had some crumps on top that went well with it. I liked the texture, too. This was definitely better than the average mac & cheese out there, but I would choose other food over this. I also got some waffles. They are very fluffy, and I liked the buttermilk syrup they have. The sweetness was just right, better than the regular syrup. We had a party of 19, and they were accommodating and found a spot for us to sit near each other. It was a little crowded, though. A big shoutout to our server, Trevin, who was very friendly and helpful. However, I wished they had one more server for us because it took a long time for everyone to be served. Overall, they still provided great service, considering the big size of our group.
Set in a quaint historic building, the atmosphere is chill and inviting. The stag is very friendly with smiles all around add to the atmosphere. We hat the Black berry salad and the Nashville chicken sandwich. Neither one disappointed. Later enough portions to take and have later is great far anyone staying at the surrounding hotels.
Station 22 is one of very few southern restaurants in the area and it's on center street so it's a fun location. I do hope in the future something of slightly better quality arrives. The options on the menu are diverse and delicious sounding but unfortunately the quality is lacking. Our food also took almost an hour to come out and the restaurant was not even a quarter full. Our server was kind though. I ordered the chicken fried steak (something I loved eating as a kid) and the meat was cooked nicely but the flavor was lacking. There were very few green beans in my gravy soup - I was expecting more green beans with a topping of gravy. The gravy had great flavor though. The pickles were neither crunchy nor salty and were a large let down as well. Especially when you pay $2 for about 8-10 chips. The kids meals was great for my toddler but I found it to be pricey ~$9 after tax. My father ordered the Cobb salad and said it was the worst he's ever had. Parking on center st. Can be difficult so plan to walk a few blocks.
Walking in this restaurant, it looks super cute. We had reservations, but we didn't really need them as we came on a weekday and it wasn't very busy. I came for a special occasion and was so excited to try something new, and sadly was disappointed. I think if I was a soda drinker, this place would have been rad because the shelves were lined with colorful sodas so if that's your thing, you may enjoy it more. Our waitress was super nice and seemed excited to be there which gave me good expectations. I saw they had two of my favorite dishes, fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits so I felt like it was set up to be a great night. I am not sure what region these versions of the dishes were from, but it was not what I was expecting at all. The fried green tomatoes were battered in something with a gritty texture and the sauce did not complement the gritty texture or tone it down. The shrimp and grits were surprisingly more disappointing. When I asked how they were (because I've had some sub par dishes) the waitress said, and I quote "they're really good!" Man I should have detected the lie. The grits were more cheese than grits and they were more saucy than gritty. The sauce, my oh my was it bland. There was flavorless, watery sauce, and there was a LOT of it. The shrimp had no seasoning on it, or if it had it had been washed off by all that sauce. The textures of everything were just off. It felt like either the chef had never tried them and/or the person who created the recipie never has had real shrimp and grits. If you want shrimp and grits or fried green tomatoes that are actually worthwhile, look up I'm Sandy or Draper area and try up there. My man had the chicken fried steak and although he preferred it over my food, he wasn't impressed either. Definitely not a place for Southern food. I can't speak for any of the other dishes as this was my first time here.
We have enjoyed dinner at Station 22 previously, but recently we tried their breakfast and it BLEW us away! The Eggs Benedict with a side of sweet potatoes had great flavors. However, it was the Cubano Sandwich that blew us away. It was made with freshly baked bread and the flavors were absolutely perfect. We would recommend the Cubano to anyone visiting for breakfast. To end our meal, we tried the banana pudding and it was perfectly creamy with a subtle banana flavor. The service was great and we will definitely return for breakfast! read more
@stationtwentytwo in @downtownprovo has remodeled and reopened with the best of their menu and great additions. The remodel is fresh and elegant while remaining hip, and full of character! Their famous fried chicken is well paired with their buttery and moist drop biscuits or delicious waffles and buttermilk syrup. @ljmeisinger gave to the Cobb salad. I dined on the savory chorizo meatloaf and bacon Brussels sprouts while my niece declared their take on the club sandwich to be a success. We all tried each other's dishes and downed the fried green tomatoes and well seasoned fries. I enjoyed this place for the first time. It's a little more pricey but not too bad. It's really delicious. I ordered the 22 Club sandwich. I got Cajun fries with it. The sandwich and the fries were really tasty. They have a decent size menu and I thought the portion was pretty filling. I would love to come back and try some other stuff as well. I would also ordered the 22 club sandwich again too. read more

I went to Station 22 on a whim with some friends. We were in the area and hungry, so we decided why not. Overall, the food was pretty good. It wouldn't say it was the best food I've had, but they had some gems in the mix. I normally don't care for potatoes, but their French fries were incredible and could not help myself from going for another one. The shrimp and grits were flavorful and very filling (so I got a couple meals out of it). I was also pleased that the shrimp is actually substantial, and there's more than just a couple, so I felt like it was a great deal for the price. Also, the banana pudding was DIVINE. I think it's totally worth it just to stop by for dessert. The only thing that was very underwhelming were the Brussels sprouts...they were bland and poorly cooked. Other than that, we enjoyed the experience. The server was a little air-headed and would get confused, but he was giving an honest effort to provide good service and go above and beyond to take care of us, so it more than made up for it. This place is pretty awesome for the vibe and decor. The environment is really hip I would say. Unfortunately I just can't give it four stars. The food was pretty good as well but also pricey. We tried a few appetizers and I can honestly say the Mac n cheese, while good, isn't really worth it's price tag. The fried funeral potatoes were really good with the dipping sauce that they came with. They are a replacement to the hush puppies though. The root beer was very tasty and sweet but I wouldn't buy it again. The Nashville Hot Chicken with sweet potato fries was pretty good but it wasn't spicy at all. This kinda disappointed me because I wanted a bit of heat. The reason I can't give it four stars is because the menu was not up to date and we had to find out after ordering that the hush puppies don't exist anymore. Additionally, they mentioned that we will get our food when the cooks feel like cooking it and they don't do it in any order. Probably was just a poor wording choice but it certainly would never leave a good taste in a customer's mouth to hear that their food will be made when "they feel like it" ya know. read more

Overall it was good. I would go again to try some of the other stuff on the menu. However, for the price of the food on the menu it's not somewhere I would go often. We wanted hush puppies but we're informed that they discontinued them so we got fries potatoes, they were still good. Disappointed in the "award winning mac and cheese", was not worth $9. The chicken and waffles was pretty good, the chicken was juicy and had a lot of flavor. Just your typical sweet potato fries. ***So you are aware if you go on the weekend do NOT expect to get your food out in a specific order (appetizers before entree) even if you request it! We were informed that it's up to the kitchen/chef's discretion as to when the food comes out. Ummm I've never heard that before.*** Because of this by the time we finished up our meals we still hadn't received an appetizer and requested it be taken off the ticket. read more
I love the ambiance of this restaurant and the design is just so cute! I've only been here for brunch and I like their wide selection, unfortunately there's not a lot of GF options. The farm breakfast is tasty, potatoes have a nice seasoning on it. They were willing to switch the biscuit to fruit for me as a GF alternative. But the fruit wasn't too appealing, the oranges were a little old. My friend loved the chicken sandwich, great flavors and a juicy chicken with a crispy coating. The Cajun fries are also worth trying! read more
They were obviously short staffed and it showed in our wait time and service but hard to blame them for that! Once we finally got our food it was delicious!! We got biscuits as an app and they were soft and yummy. My main course was a country fried steak sandwich that was amazing!! We found out about a pina colada lemonade halfway through our meal and we had to try it. It was the best !! I will surely go again but try to avoid the rush! read more

Sadly I was not impressed by the food here. My biggest complaint about this restaurant is that the rent weren't hardly any healthy options. They had a few salads but only had the option to add fried chicken to it. Then, the salad itself wasn't great. Also tried the hot chicken sandwich which was better. I wouldn't recommend the Brussels sprouts. If you are going to eat here, don't even bother eating healthy - go for the Mac n cheese, shrimp and grits, and fried cookie dough. That seems more like their specialty. I just encourage adding a few more healthy options, such as the salmon that used to be on the menu. read more

Honestly, wishing I had as good of an experience as the first time I came to this restaurant many years ago. Now what remains is a shell of what it used to be. POSITIVES: I appreciate the simplicity of the menu, which means the chefs are more focused on specializing these dishes instead of spreading themselves thin. Their chicken does taste good, as do the dirty fries. But the absolute best part of the meal was the side of Mac n Cheese (apparently award winning, but none of them were able to tell me what award it was/who awarded them/when the award was given). The chicken country fried steak was also a winner in my book, and probably the best out of the entrees we tried that evening. NEGATIVES: we had high hopes for these meals, and most of them didn't deliver. The fried chicken sandwich was too sweet with the xandee ranch and coleslaw, and we just an awkward combo for our tastes. The chicken and waffles tasted okay, but felt very scant, and would leave you feeling hungry (considering it's like $13, that's pretty awful). The Whiskey Chicken had an interesting tangy flavor that was almost like A1 steak sauce, plus the whiskey flavor, but it failed to really impress anyone at our table who all tried it. On another note, the service we had was pretty abysmal... Out waitress seemed a bit of an airhead, as we had to remind her not one, not two, but THREE times for multiple things! First it was for straws, then it was for the fry sauce she forgot, then it was to refill our waters, and also for our boxes at the end. I'm sure she felt stressed that night, and was pretty busy... But come on, if you're forgetting the basic things the customers are asking for, and they have to remind you 2-3 times for each of these things, you gotta write it down, or figure something else out. PRICE: easily $15-20 per person. RECOMMENDED: the only things I can really recommend are the chicken fried steak, and the Mac and cheese. I really wish I could have tried the fried cookie dough balls for dessert or the cake they had... But we were pretty disappointed overall with the food and service that we didn't end up getting dessert. read more
We stopped by for a quick late night bite for the first time since they're located next door to the ComedySportz Improv. The service staff is pretty young, but decent. I liked the interior decor -- how open and bright it is. I was bummed to find out that they're dry even though they have what looks like a bar. They seem to specialize in soft drinks like ginger beer, root beer, and sodas as well as fried chicken / comfort food. I was surprised to find that the place has a real a$$ on it as there's even more seating in the back. The place was pretty popping for the middle of thr week. We ordered a Cock n Bull CHERRY Ginger beer which was just delightful. I dug how they give you a glass full of big ol' ice cubes so it goes down oh-so-smooth. We split a wedge salad and the hot chicken sandwich with a side of dirty fries and honey mustard-ish fry sauce. I loved the wedge salad --- great size and it comes with green goddess dressing which I've never seen, but it definitely worked with the bacon and pickled red onions. The chicken was SO tender and juicy, I couldn't have been happier. It's a little spicy so I would probably try the regular chicken sandwich next time. The dirty fries seemed more like cajun even though they asked us to clarify which one we wanted, and we said dirty, not cajun. Fry sauce was very, very good. Keep that for some of your sammy. A little pricey, but I would return. read more

I'm not sure what has happened here, but a month or so ago, I had the best chicken fried steak ever. So I thought I'd try it again. It was more than burnt, it was obliterated, not to mention they missed the gravy on my order. (All to go) I got it refunded but thought I'd just try my hand at gravy myself, but the meat wasn't edible. So disappointed this go around. New help? Manager? What? Why wasn't this caught? Besides placing my order early(nothing said they changed from opening at 10 to 11, so 10:24 pick up ended up being 11:30) so I waited over an hour, driving 30 min to pick it up. Not sure what else to say. Buyer beware. read more

I was very disappointed with the food here. I'd heard great things about Station 22, and it was frankly the worst food I've had in Provo--and I've tried almost every restaurant here. I'm a very polite client, and I love to support local restaurants and businesses. I am a foodie, but I'm pretty open-minded. At the same time, I would not want anyone else to have my experience. I found the menu to be lackluster. They recently redesigned said menu, and they took off everything that my date and I had researched and planned to order. Offerings now feel like things that I could easily make at home. It's fair, it's just not exciting. Feels like a diner (which is fine, if that's what you're looking for!) The food quality, again, tasted like I was at the diner by my house. It was really average, but nothing great. The mac and cheese might have been reheated. The meatloaf was small and somewhat dry in my opinion, but not bad. The famous chicken and waffles fell flat. There wasn't enough chicken, and the dish overall felt extremely dry unless drenched in the exceedingly sweet syrup. The service was mediocre. The staff was incredibly friendly and I hold no personal grudge, but: *Slow service (we stood and waited at the front for several minutes despite several empty tables on a relatively calm weekday evening). The food was also quite slow in coming, and our appetizer was delivered at the same time as our entrees. Everything was served at once, so half of our food got cold and we felt rushed trying to eat things before they turned to ice. *We sat for a long time before ultimately getting up to go find our waitress for our check. *My date never received the second half of his dish. He ordered the chorizo meatloaf, which comes automatically with mashed potatoes--those just never came. We didn't have our menus so we weren't sure (and he didn't want to make a fuss) so I couldn't be certain until I snapped a picture of the menu as we were leaving the restaurant. read more

I hate to leave a negative review but am just so disappointed by our food tonight. The atmosphere and service were both great. The food was regrettable. Fried chicken & biscuits -- dry, not much chicken volume (thighs), biscuits were doughy in the middle!! Shrimp & grits -- no real Cajun flavor coming through. Only about 4 shrimps total. Tons of tomato sauce. Citrus salad and Turkey sandwich were both fine/ok. Mac n cheese -- very good Fun soda drinks -- good but expensive. Just kind of regret wasting a night out on this place. read more
Really wanted to like this place, but the quality of food just wasn't there. While there, I tried the chicken and waffles, the meatloaf, and cornbread. The chicken was dry and bland, and the waffle was over cooked and hard. The meatloaf was just a big meatball and also lacked flavor. The meatball initially came out cold, and we had to ask for a new one. I did really like the cornbread and house lemonade, though. These two items salvaged a third star for this otherwise 2 star experience. read more
If your bus ever comes past this station hop off and transfer to ride on the flavor express. This area of Provo is one area that good food is around nearly every corner. Station 22 should be one that a weary traveler could consider. Along with their delicious plates they also have one of the largest root beer selections this side of the point of the mountain (sorry for the Utah reference there). I came in with friends and each of them said the same that this was spot to grab some grub while at a conference here in downtown Provo. Holy comfort food is what you get here at station 22 while you are away from home. Not only were the layers of flavor in each bite with my Nashville Chicken Sandwich but the portion was generous. Along with award winning Mac and Cheese well let's just say that although you may possibly be traveling through Provo, this place will take you home with this fresh Mac and cheese. Also did someone say Biscuits and Gravy well at least one person in my group has a love of this home cooked epic plate of deliciousness. Then there was the Southern Hush Puppies oh praise the Lord when all things just come together to make an epic day out with friends. We've driven past Station 22 many times but had never stopped in! When we saw that they recently reopened after renovating some things we were stoked to try it! Customer Service: 9/10 Our waitress Sam was AMAZING! She got us set up at a table with great lighting so we could get better pictures and footageShe was so helpful in giving us recommendations and checked on us often! The other employees that we met were super helpful too. Environment: 9/10 Station 22 was recently renovated and it is the coolest environment. Everything is so clean, bright and home-y! Definitely an awesome vibe and aesthetic. Menu: 7.5/10 The menu is kind of big so it could be hard to make a decision on what to order! You can totally ask for recommendations, but they told us their most popular items are the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and their chicken and waffles. Price: 8/10 We felt that everything was reasonably priced! The meals are pretty big and definitely filling! The hot chicken sandwich was $12, and the chicken and waffle meal was around the same price. Taste: 7.5/10 We really like how their fried chicken was cooked! The meat on the inside was still juicy and flavorful while the outside was really crispy! The hot chicken sandwich definitely packs a punch, but the flavor was awesome! We also really liked their hush puppiesThey were SO fresh, warm and crispy. We tried their fried cookie dough for dessert and it was SO yummy, 10/10 would recommend trying it to treat yourself OVERALL: 8.2/10 read more

Best food in SLC area we've had all week. Probably the best biscuits and fried chicken I've had in a very long time. Service was better than excellent from Jarrod. We could not be happier and full. If anyone else posts anything different, they are out of their gourds! Fresh lemonade is tasty. Fried chicken is excellent. Biscuits are best I've had. Fried green tomatoes are bomb. Mac n cheese great. read more
