It's been a bit since we last came here for brunch, and they've removed some items from their brunch menu. They used to have a burrito of the day and biscuits and gravy, which my husband loved and was excited to eat again, but he was disappointed to find they've taken it off the menu. I ordered their special of the day, which was bread pudding French toast, and it was pretty good!! My husband ended up ordering the huevos pericos. He liked it, but wasn't fully satisfied since he really wanted the biscuits and gravy. Our waiter Carlos was great! He had a positive attitude and made us laugh, he totally made our experience great.

Love this place! If only it weren't so expensive so I could go more often, haha. We went for our anniversary tonight, and had a lovely experience. We loved the sausage soup and beet salad! So unique and flavorful. For the main entree, the gnocchi and winter pasta were also a hit. Hard to top the soup and salad though! To top it all off, the pumpkin pie panna cotta was amazing. They included it free of charge, as an anniversary gift. What a nice surprise! Great service, great food, great time.

Came here with my friends for brunch and it did not disappoint! We ordered most of the menu haha. Honestly their coffee was really good. The place was big but had different rooms so felt pretty casual for groups. All of the meals we got were delicious, did not expect pulled salmon for the lox. The potato side dishes were a little weird. I would DEF recommend the breakfast sandwich it will cure ur hangover. Would come here again!

This meal was a fitting end to a successful business trip - and it was a tasty finale, indeed! We had a tequila-based drink called "on a Tuesday" that was the perfect compliment. Our appetizer was the surprising, addictive baked ricotta with fig and guanciale compote - soooo good! We followed that with a sublime bolognese - creamy and perfectly balanced. No room for dessert - sadly! Superb service made for a truly special evening!

There were certainly things I liked about Block when we visited yesterday, but overall, it seems a bit overpriced for what we received. This restaurant is fairly cozy bordering on cramped. My mother-in-law reserved dinner for a large group for my father-in-law's birthday, and our table was a bit crowded. I ordered the gnocchi. It was delicious, with lots of short rib--but, for some reason, very little gnocchi. I enjoyed the sourdough bread and the chocolate potted cream (which we had to order without the whipped cream as it has alcohol--recommend offering the option of regular whipped cream here in Utah). We also ordered the charcuterie, which looked delicious but which I was unable to try for medical reasons. At the rather expensive price point, the service could really use a boost. We went long periods of time without seeing our server, and she pushed my father-in-law into ordering a dessert since it was, supposedly, free. (It was not free; it came up on the bill.) All in all, a bit disappointing.

The Block is a lovely farm to table restaurant on university avenue in provo. It is refreshingly unexpected for being in a strip mall. It is a bit brightly lit for a date night restaurant, but the brick wall and open kitchen are very pretty. We started with the charcuterie board, which I wouldn't recommend. None of us particularly loved their choice of cheeses and accoutrements, however the prosciutto and nuts were our favorite part. The gnocchi was very good, I'd highly recommend it. The only complaint with it was the sauce was very thin and was served with a fork. I would return and would recommend.

Went to the Block Restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Service was great but a large error in their eggs Benedict. The English muffin was so burned in the bottom that one needed a steak knife to enable cutting the muffin. The Hollandaise sauce was great and the egg was cooked to perfection. The muffin was so hard the table knife would not cut it.

So fun to walk into a weird pillared building and enter a fancy restaurant. The service is kind and accommodating and the food is always unique and delicious!

Came here tonight to celebrate Valentine's Day and was happy to find another delicious more upscale restaurant in utah county! Our server made some great recommendations which really helped us enjoy our meal. She recommended the block toast for our appetizer - and I'll be honest, I was SUPER apprehensive. I didn't know exactly what to expect. But it was my favorite bite of the night! Just enough heat, the apple jam wasn't too sweet, bacon added just enough saltiness. It was well balanced. Would've loved the piece of sourdough to be toasted on both sides but other wise a pretty impeccable dish. The wedge was good! Nothing to write home about but yummy. The spring trout was great. I was nervous the chorizo tomato jam was going to overpower everything else- which I think it could've, but I balanced my spoonfuls well. The gnocchi were light and fluffy. Loved the au jus it was set in. The chocolate cake had a ganache on top, a coffee crème anglaise, rum whipped cream and an almond crunch on top. It needed every component but was tasty. Though it wasn't too sweet (I'm not a fan of overly sweet desserts). I would've loved some finishing salt on top just to balance everything out. My biggest qualm with block, is their chairs. You know that nail on a chalkboard sound? Think that in chair form. Very jarring. The chairs need some felt or something underneath them to help them slide smoother and more quiet :)

Surprise! We were shocked with how good the food was and no wait on a Saturday morning. Staff was quick for seating and recommendations were great. Untraditional I got the burger for breakfast and my spouse got the eggs Benedict (sliced ham ) insert drool here, and a side of the biscuits and gravy Flavor was off the chain here, we literally never drove down to Provo but talk about driving back down just for blocks

They are bottomless and the owner came around asking if we wanted refills or if we wanted our drinks in a to go cup at the end of the meal. So that was nice, but I'd still rather have a $3 cup of juice. I didn't have the cinnamon rolls (or maybe they call them sweet rolls) but they were small and didn't look too appetizing. I had a disappointing experience at Peace on Earth Coffee…read more I specifically ordered a matcha latte with a substitution for health reasons, so accuracy mattered to me. I made sure to confirm this substitution was available before placing my order. After drinking it, I became concerned that my substitution had not been applied, so I tried to contact the store. It took multiple calls to reach a manager, but once I did, they acknowledged that a new employee had likely made a mistake and apologized. Although it was difficult to get in touch with someone, I appreciate their willingness to hear my concerns and their attempts to rectify the situation. When I returned to the store for the agreed-upon refund, however, the experience became frustrating. The manager, Aubrey, initially attempted to refund me for a less expensive drink and seemed unwilling to believe me when I explained what I had paid. I clarified that I was not seeking reimbursement for the tip, only the agreed-upon refund for my purchase. Her tone felt irritated and dismissive throughout the interaction. Fortunately, I still had my receipt with me and was able to verify the correct amount. Mistakes happen, and I appreciate that the store acknowledged the possibility of an error. What disappointed me most was how the refund was handled. I left feeling that my concerns were met with skepticism rather than understanding. Additionally, on a completely separate side note, while I was there, I noticed a customer had a dog inside the café. When I first visited with my friend, we had her dog with us and we were told dogs were only welcome on the patio because they had an open kitchen. So it was unexpected to see this dog inside and drinking from a reusable customer water cup provided by Peace on Earth. The inconsistency in enforcing store policies was surprising. I hope the business uses this as an opportunity to improve employee training and customer service.

When we arrived and sat down, we were greeted by Joe telling us that "House rules, you're not allowed to order the same item". Lol. Love that guy! We both ordered Denver omelets, one without onions, extra mushrooms, French toast, and grits and one without mushrooms, hash browns, and pancakes. First off, the pancakes were amazing! They're light, had crispy edges, and had a wonderful flavor. But the best thing was it was in the shape of little donuts, which was a nice surprise. Our entrees came but were somehow got switched. We didn't realize it at first but both were still good. Unfortunately, my wife put Chalula on hers and I put Tobasco on mine and we don't like each other's choice of condiments. The other unfortunate thing was that I had an eggshell in my omelet. Even though we had these misfortunes you can't hide the flavor of these dishes and they certainly don't skimp on toppings. My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. Still a great experience and they are still one of the best breakfast places on the state.
