I found this bakery on Yelp and we are so glad we did! I came due to the sweet rolls that were in reviews and I couldn't help but show my wife and told her we should check this place out.  We got the 4 pack which was 8.99. The employee also gave us cookie since we told her it was our 1st time there. The service was very good. We were greeted right away and answered all our questions about the pastries in the case. They also have bread and the softest rolls. We will definitely need to come back and try the rolls next. Thank you for the military discount Shirley's!

We were at a doctor's appointment in Provo so let's see what I have on my Provo list to try! I love a good bakery- at least to check out for future needs. Hubby found this in Yelp. He loves a good sweet roll/ cinnamon roll. It was a Friday afternoon. The place was empty. Guess we missed the lunch crowd? I walked in and saw all the sweet rolls in 4 flavors and different types of bread rolls. Looks like they sold some loaves of bread too and some cookies and desserts. They also had soups and sandwiches. I was so happy to find this place! We were even given a free cookie since we told her it was our 1st time! We told home a 4 pack of sweet rolls. We picked the one with 2 blueberry and 2 raspberry. It was so yummy! Heated us a lil bit in the microwave- they were very good! I Wish it was closer to home! But every time I'm in Orem, I will not try to stop here too (it's not too far from University Mall). **Extra half star since they give a Military Discount.

I have to admit I was hungry! So I neglected to get a picture of our food. We both got sandwiches - a chicken salad for me (yes for breakfast) and a sausage, egg, and cheddar for my husband. We both liked them. The chicken salad had a bit too much mayo for me, but I'm not a huge mayo fan. The service was quick and we were there on a Saturday morning. There were people picking up to-go orders and even a catering order. There was only one other dine-in table full of people. But don't mistake that for not busy! Shirley's is by a hotels but the look inside is very homey. There's a cute stone, wood burning fireplace, racks full of rolls and pastries, and stand alone tables and some booths. The restaurant is clean and so are the bathrooms. We were in town for the annual track invitational at BYU and we know we'll be back next year too.

Came here for lunch, the restaurant was cute and I would want to come back to have breakfast. The sweet rolls and bakery looks good. I think the sandwiches were good but nothing crazy. The food came out fast and the cashier was friendly.

I could eat a dozen of these rolls

This sandwich was so bad. I had to take it apart and just eat the chicken in the middle because it was so gross.

When we arrived and sat down, we were greeted by Joe telling us that "House rules, you're not allowed to order the same item". Lol. Love that guy! We both ordered Denver omelets, one without onions, extra mushrooms, French toast, and grits and one without mushrooms, hash browns, and pancakes. First off, the pancakes were amazing! They're light, had crispy edges, and had a wonderful flavor. But the best thing was it was in the shape of little donuts, which was a nice surprise. Our entrees came but were somehow got switched. We didn't realize it at first but both were still good. Unfortunately, my wife put Chalula on hers and I put Tobasco on mine and we don't like each other's choice of condiments. The other unfortunate thing was that I had an eggshell in my omelet. Even though we had these misfortunes you can't hide the flavor of these dishes and they certainly don't skimp on toppings. My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. Still a great experience and they are still one of the best breakfast places on the state.

This warm, friendly welcome set the tone for the whole experience. Joe stopped by and told us the "rules". Everyone orders something different and we all share. My husband got the eggs & diced ham with a side of biscuits and gravy. My son got the French Dip because you can order breakfast or lunch at 10 am. Everyone ate a good portion if not all of their food. It was good. We will definitely be back. For the food but more for the service!

We ordered in the app and our order wasn't ready when we arrived. No biggie. Then she said they were out of one pastry we had ordered and to choose another; okay. Then she said they were out of the cookies we selected, but the app suggested those cookies as an add-on. Odd. Got a refund on those. Checked our order on the way out and the turkey sandwich had the correct ingredients, but very little turkey. I ordered two extra sides of turkey to go home and add on there. Also needed to add extra mayo at home, as there was barely any. Everyone was really nice and helpful, but I think maybe someone needs to show this location what Kneaders food should look (and taste) like.

The next day after a Dr. appt. at Utah Valley we ordered from the drive-up the very same Tuna Melt. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Here is a quick breakdown of what we tried: Black Sesame Latte & Matcha Ube Latte: Both iced lattes were so delicious and, best of all, not overly sweet. A huge bonus for us was that they were able to make both with oat milk! Bungeoppang: These were warm, crispy on the outside, and incredibly tasty. Yuzu Cheesecake: This was by far the favorite of the visit. It was light, refreshing, and honestly probably one of the top five cheesecakes I've ever had in my life. Beyond the incredible menu, the ambiance and service are top-tier. The interior decor is incredibly cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax. First of all, you know it's gonna be good when it's listed as a "meat shop" rather than a restaurant! They source their meats only a few miles away from the shop in Provo and are committed to raising their cattle well. (Company quote: "If you take care of the cows, the cows take care of you") I love supporting a restaurant with well-sourced meat. Fun pictures and neon signs all around the shop, and the butcher is just in the back so you know it's fresh!! Great crew super friendly and service was fast. Now the actual burger. The toasted brioche bun, double stacked meat perfectly crispy in the smash burger style with American cheese, thick leafy lettuce, a couple tomatoes, perfect amount of onion, thick crisp pickles, and custom fry-sauce-esque "farmhouse sauce" was just *chefs kiss*!!! I don't even like pickles very much but it all came together perfectly on the burger. Fries were great too! And all that for a reasonable price! I don't know why there are reviews criticizing the bun as being a "store bought," regular, and generic. It was obviously a crafted bun and of high quality that matched the burger. The burger was juicy, tasty, and was everything I wanted for a birthday supper. The fries were nicely seasoned and fried perfectly in their tallow, which is what I wished all the burger joints would use for their fries. Like McDonald's used to do when their fries were the best. I'm not a fan of fry sauce--I know, heresy in Utah! LOL--but I did like and use their fry sauce, it is good. They use the same spice in it as they do their fries. The employees are very friendly. The interior is simple. We ate at the window bar which was nice. Looked in their refrigerator case and their meat looks excellent. Their prices are really reasonable, in some cases about equal to grocery store prices, so why buy grocery store meat? I will be back! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
