Lovely late morning breakfast after brief stay over in Provo. Wanted a cooked breakfast for husband and self. We ended up splitting an order of crepes and an omelette. The coffee we ordered was strong. Depending on how you like your coffee will depend on whether you want to do the coffee. Large cup of Joe that has a bitter taste reminiscent of Starbucks. The omelette was awesome. Ours had spinach, onion and mushroom topped with avocado. A side order of perfectly cooked hash browns. Plenty for us. However, the portions do appear average. I come often. Great lunch spot during work. Chicken is always great, I give the fried green tomatoes at dinner 4/5. The only thing is they aren't consistent. Sometimes it's out of the park other times it's too dry. More likely to get a great meal during lunch than dinner. read more

Update: Well, tried this place again. While the service was more friendly than before, it was extremely slow. Someone that was seated after us had his food and had finished before we got our food. Food quality was not as good and really just meh. I probably wouldn't come back after this visit. It's taken me a while to get here but I finally made it and was overall pleased with the experience. It's definitely a bit of a hipster eatery. The decor was unexpected but seemed to work. Food was good. We had chicken and waffles and grown up Mac and cheese. It's not going to rate as the best thing I've ever eaten but I would definitely come here again. I've heard good things about the burgers as well. So. De. LICIOUS. My husband and I have each been twice and loved it every time. I have only had the waffles and berries and two eggs in the side. He's had a sandwich and chicken and waffles. The chicken was so crispy and the syrup is delish. It is sweet, but not too sweet, and creamy. Yum dilium. I wanted to order the 22 club but they ONLY have sliced Swiss cheese (and I'm not about Swiss) or shredded cheddar (and I feared it would just fall out of the sandwich, so I got the waffles again (no harm done). I am clueless as to how this place is packed. My dinner--the chorizo meatloaf with green beans (in place of the mashed potatoes) and Brussels sprouts was practically inedible. The meat loaf--nothing particularly good or bad say about the meatloaf itself--was covered in a sweet sauce that seemed like it came from a bottle of cheap BBQ sauce. The green beans were undercooked, unsalted, and smothered in a blah white gravy. The roasted Brussels sprouts were good, but it is difficult to destroy roasted Brussels sprouts. (If it were easy, I'm betting this kitchen would have done it.) My companion's chicken fried steak was overcooked, but the potatoes and gravy were fine. I ordered a biscuit on the side and was surprised to receive a spacecraft-shaped object, a bread of some kind but hardly what one thinks of when someone says "biscuit." The Coke I ordered came in a small (6 oz?) glass and I was never offered a refill. Amazing restaurant for our entire family of six. Vast selection of sodas which was really fun for the kids. We don't drink a lot of sodas but we let the kids splurge. They had a blast choosing from the huge menu (and so did the parents!). The food was amazing too, even for the pickiest eaters in our family. The waffles with buttermilk syrup were unbelievably good. The burger was huge and juicy - one of the best according to our burger aficionado. The chicken fried steak was easily the best I've ever had. The chicken sandwich was solid. The steak salad really hit the spot for my wife who has some food sensitivities and was looking for lighter fare as well. Also, we never knew who was our waitress because multiple different people came to our table. Everyone seemed scattered and our service was haphazard and extremely slow. The place is just off of Center Street so good luck with parking if you decide to go on a Friday night like we did! As for the food, we tried the fried chicken and waffles, the Mac and cheese, and Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. Our favorite was the spicy chicken sandwich which was very juicy and the Mac and cheese which had a decent cheese pull to it. The chicken and waffles was still very good. Super cute location and has so much potential. My husband got the whiskey chicken and I got the chicken and waffles. I grew up in the south so I know what a good chicken and waffle tastes like. It was just subpar. Nothing noteworthy. Half of my husbands plate was just unseasoned undercooked carrots and his chicken was kind of bland. Mine has some good seasoning but was pretty dry and the waffles were cold and too eggy. We were disappointed. We paid like $50 for a meh chicken dinner. Not worth it. From the fresh mini bouquet on the table (with a Provo City Temple view) to the unique drink menu, this is a must eat in City Center Provo. I loved the mango lemonade with its syrupy sweetness. We were excited to try out the food and the atmosphere looked so cool and cozy. They had a fun menu of bottled sodas that had nearly anything you could want. For food: I got the shrimp and grits which was delicious even if it wasn't what I was expecting. Not spicy or a Cajun feel at all. But again, not complaining. I loved it. Husband got the Station 22 Club Sandwich with sweet potato fries. Unique to have avocado on a Club and he liked it. Unfortunately we were really disappointed by the service. We had a reservation but no one was at the host booth so we stood at the front for a couple minutes waiting to be even greeted. Then we waited for over 8 minutes for someone to even come and greet us at the table and take our drink orders. Disappointed because this was our one big splurge "fancy anniversary dinner." So if you're super scared of covid don't come here, they don't enforce mask wearing, staff doesn't wear gloves, and no sanitizer is available. But let's talk about the food! They seem to specialize in fried chicken and go for a southern style of food with the shrimp and grits, hush puppies and chicken and waffles. The highlight their chicken on their menu. And most of the food items for dinner are chicken based. I ordered the whiskey chicken and 3 piece honey butter chicken with a side of sweet potato fries. My friends ordered the 5 piece southern fried chicken pieces with a side of biscuits and mac and cheese. Overall, the service took a long to take our order though we had a reservation and when the food came it was hot. It seemed like it was waiting awhile before it was served to us. The chicken itself was dry and tough. Hard to cut with the butter knife cutlery. I'd suggest a steak knives! The seasoning was okay, not bad but not great. It didn't match my expectations from the menu descriptions and ambiance of the restaurant. The chicken, whether it was honey butter or southern fried seemed to taste the same. The honey butter chicken just came with a side of honey butter.... Haha the whiskey chicken had more flavor because of the sautéed mushrooms in whiskey/worchestire sauce. But the veggies it came with were undercooked and bland. The sides were better than the main. Their wide collection of various sodas speaks to the quality they offer in food. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were about equivalent to hotel waffles, but they were sufficient, and paired well with the very tasty chicken. Quality fried chicken is apparently very difficult for many restaurants to achieve and I usually avoid it for that reason; I'm glad I gave it a chance this time! I asked for dark meat and they obliged. Their buttermilk syrup matched the quality of the chicken, and when I asked for maple syrup, they brought me what tasted like the real thing, no Aunt Jemima or from-concentrate stuff. I had a Faygo Rock n' Rye to drink. It has a cream, cherry chewing-gum flavor with little complexity. I'm glad to have tried it since it's been on my list, but I don't recommend it. If you stop by the Mac & Cheese is THE BEST I've ever had. It makes me never want to cook another boxed Mac & Cheese. The first time I went the Chicken and Waffles is what really brought me back. There's something about their syrup that is mouth watering. The jack burger I won't get again, it was very wet and hard to eat by hand, but eating it with a fork worked. THE FRIES are so yummy and come with a DELECTABLE sauce, it's not fry sauce, it's like a honey mustard but not thick, just wet and I need the recipe to make it at home! The cornbread comes in a GREAT size and was worth the buy! I do wish the butter was more if a honey butter but it was still yummy. The aesthetic is amazing, with wood planks hanging, and then vines hanging off them. They also have a BILLION drink options! Simple and delicious. The chicken was simply seasoned but satisfying and it was nice and soft/moist. There's a very very subtle kick that I enjoyed in the seasoning. The waffles kinda compared to boxed powder waffles but still good enough for the dish. They didn't wow me. The syrup I really enjoyed. It almost seems to be made out of some leftover fat maybe? But it really tied the piece together. And I liked the fresh touch of orange slices they serve with it. My knife wasn't sharp enough but that's a negligible issue. I do think it was overpriced and a little ridiculous to charge $3 extra to get boneless chicken instead of bone-in. My waiter never wanted to stay at my table, she would just drop things off on my table and walk away almost immediately, so it was kind of difficult to ask her for things. Rode the Front Runner from Ogden to Provo and after searching through Yelp decided on this place for lunch and it was closer walk from the train station. My husband and I opted to share the 22 Club and it was really delicious. I'd definitely order again. We did how ever wanted the sweet potato fries but sadly they didn't have today so we settled on the regular since my husband doesn't do spicy fries. Regardless, it would have been better with a beer. . Brussels sprouts were not really sautéed or roasted. They seemed steamed so they were fresh and soft but didn't have much flavor. I have gotten a few different things here, but my favorites have been the Holey Chicken sandwich and their chicken & waffles. The chicken & waffles is probably the most popular food item there. I know it may sound weird to some people, but I definitely recommend trying it! I have never had a problem with the service! It is a tad bit pricey for the amount and quality of the food, but still worth trying out for yourself. One complaint is that parking can be a little hard sometimes. I'm not sure if they changed ownership, but I used to go a lot on college and I loved it. I returned recently and they didn't address us for at least five minutes, were rude in general, and my meal came out cold. The Brussel sprouts were burnt and the meatloaf I got was not flavorful and just looked like a huge meatball. The best part of the meal was the cornbread. My partner got chicken and waffles and the chicken was dry and the waffles tasted like they came from a box mix. Wouldn't recommend going here for any special occasion. My girlfriend and I went here for brunch on our anniversary and experienced very poor service. First off, we were greeted a few minutes after walking in and seated a few minutes after that. The tables weren't set, we received silverware after receiving our food. Finally, the worst part, we received our drinks after we finished eating... I have never experienced service like this. It appears they're understaffed because they were still working on opening the restaurant an hour after their appointed opening time. I want to clarify, the food was good. This place is adorable. The food is very tasty and we are able to eat here and leave very very satisfied. The prices are very reasonable considering how great the quality is. The vibe is comfortable. I really can't think of a single complaint. It would make a good casual date night destination but is also very family-friendly. My kiddos are 5 & 7 and would thoroughly enjoy the entire menu. It kills me to give this place a low rating when I used to love it so much. We used to recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and family, and we were frequent visitors. However, recent changes have left much to be desired, and I was fairly unimpressed with our most recent visit. Wait time? Not bad. We came at 6 pm on a Saturday night and waited about 15 min, which isn't bad, but there was also only one small group of 3 ahead of us. Service? A little abrupt, but nothing I can't handle. Ambiance? Nice enough. What really had me down was the increase in prices and decrease in food quality. My favorite item on the menu has always been the Pig n' Cheese sandwich. It used to be well under $10 but is now $11 and the sandwich is smaller, with way less meat. It was basically a greasy, glorified grilled cheese sandwich (that I could have definitely made better at home). I ended up leaving half of my sandwich uneaten. I noticed that nearly all items on the menu had increased in price as well, and in looking at other people's dishes I also noticed a consistent decrease in portion size. The menu also seemed to have less options than I remembered in the past, but I can't say for sure. My husband was happy enough with his burger, but I was so disappointed that I don't think I will ever return. The only redeeming part of my meal was the beer-battered fries.
