I've driven past "The Meat" for a while now but finally had a chance to try their sandwich today! Delicious. The meat was well cooked, caramelized along with the onions. The peppers were tender! The fries were hot. And it really was a delicious cheesesteak. My only suggestion is that I think it's a little bready - maybe hollow out part of the roll and it would be ever better.

Best Cheesesteak when open... Closed during the winter ( no clue why) and Now it's Late Winter at 70 degrees here in out, FB says Open, Yelp says Open.. YET CLOSED or No Food Truck anywhere... So I pay the bills somewhere else now... Great Service when open.. poly love read more

By far the best cheesesteaks I've had in Utah, and far and above the best staff running it! The bread used for their cheesesteaks is never anything but airy and savory, with the thinly sliced beef and its accompanying cheese create a cheesesteak rivaled by none. As well as my man Nefi and his wife! Absolute class acts! Whether it's while ordering from the truck or running into them at the store, Nefi and his wife never fail to make you feel like an old friend. I'd come and pay full price for a meal just to conversate with those two. Their food being outrageously good is just a cherry on top. Oh. My. Goodness. I am so freaking full and happy right now. This was Nick and my first time at The Meat. Nefi, Shawnterra, and Ezekiel legit run my new favorite spot in Utah! This crew of three serves cheesesteaks and loaded fries out of a cool little food truck in the neighborhood of Timp in Provo, in the parking lot next to a Juice 'n Java. It's a simple menu, and super delicious. We were not disappointed in anything but the wind that almost blew our plates away. We both ordered the classic in a meal. DUDE. BRO. THEIR FRY SAUCE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST FRY SAUCE I'VE EVER EATEN. Their cheesesteaks are truly Philly style. There are a lot of places that claim to be Philly style, but these honestly measured up. The way the gooey cheese held the steak, onions, and peppers together, and how all the flavors mixed and danced around in my mouth... ahhhh. Chefs kiss. The fries were hot and fresh, and paired fabulously with the fry sauce! Phenomenal service, phenomenal food, more than reasonable price. The meat used was tender- melt in your mouth. I find that the roll in a cheesesteak is hard to nail down- they knock it out of the park. If in the area- make this place happen! PS, the fries are bomb!! read more

My husband and I got a cheesesteak here the other night for date night! We rolled up about 15 minutes before closing (we didn't know when they close) and they were so accommodating! It's a food truck!! I send an instagram reel to my husband, so he decided we should go there for lunch. We walked over and were surprised that it wasn't a brick and mortar storefront! I was definitely not disappointed though. The head was perfect! Dense and chewy, perfect for this type of sandwich. The meat was flavored well. I just had onions in mine, my husband had both onions and peppers. The cheese was perfect in my estimation. Not overwhelming, but complementing all the sandwiches elements. It took multiple calls to reach a manager, but once I did, they acknowledged that a new employee had likely made a mistake and apologized. Although it was difficult to get in touch with someone, I appreciate their willingness to hear my concerns and their attempts to rectify the situation. When I returned to the store for the agreed-upon refund, however, the experience became frustrating. The manager, Aubrey, initially attempted to refund me for a less expensive drink and seemed unwilling to believe me when I explained what I had paid. I clarified that I was not seeking reimbursement for the tip, only the agreed-upon refund for my purchase. Her tone felt irritated and dismissive throughout the interaction. Fortunately, I still had my receipt with me and was able to verify the correct amount. Mistakes happen, and I appreciate that the store acknowledged the possibility of an error. What disappointed me most was how the refund was handled. I left feeling that my concerns were met with skepticism rather than understanding. Additionally, on a completely separate side note, while I was there, I noticed a customer had a dog inside the café. When I first visited with my friend, we had her dog with us and we were told dogs were only welcome on the patio because they had an open kitchen. So it was unexpected to see this dog inside and drinking from a reusable customer water cup provided by Peace on Earth. The inconsistency in enforcing store policies was surprising. I hope the business uses this as an opportunity to improve employee training and customer service.
