Let me start this review out by saying typically when I go out to a restaurant, I'm a huge fan of ordering a fried chicken sandwich. I also work at a craft American kitchen restaurant in California and have tried every type of chicken sandwich mash up I've been able to create. The fried chicken sandwich that I ordered today was debatably one of the best ones I've ever had. To be fair I was pretty extra and I ended up getting the Nashville chicken sandwich, but added coleslaw and asked for it on the house bun... worth it. Fire. The food is done right, but only wish there were more diverse menu options. Do not recommend for lunch. Until 2 or 3 pm, they use a modified breakfast menu, when I would've preferred something from the dinner menu at 1pm rather than waffles, haha. Got the berry salad and it was yummy and fresh but wasn't a huge fan of how sweet the honey vinaigrette was. Station 22 used to be one of our favorites, but there have been poor changes made recently. We had our anniversary dinner there and it was so disappointing. The recent menu changes are horrible. The poutine used to be fabulous, but they replaced the cheese curds with shredded cheddar cheese and pork. No thanks! The chicken and waffles isn't near as good as it used to be. The waffles were soggy and flavorless and the chicken was dry. Chipotle sauce has no place in a shrimp po'boy. Terrible idea! We have always raves about this place, but can't do that anymore. It was good, but not special. Reasonably priced, with friendly staff. We had to send some of the food back because it was cold and dry (not how fried chicken should be). Once they got it right, it was better. The shrimp and grits was mediocre, but I'm well travelled and have high expectations ... at least there's somewhere that actually serves the dish in Provo. This place got rave reviews from our friends so we were excited to try it, but it was disappointing. The variety of soda is cool, but they didn't carry anything World Market doesn't have. I got the poutine, it was good, but also cheese and gravy and potatoes is hard to mess up. My friend got the chicken and waffles and not sure why everyone thinks they are amazing? Yum yum yum! We didn't know quite what to expect walking in to this place. But we were very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is so homey and cozy. The food even more comfort! I had the Nashville hot sandwich -- so good if you like a little spicy! And the roasted pulled pork is a close second. It was lighter on the flavor if that's your thing. We also got the dirty fries and sweet potato fries which were complimented PERFECTLY with the very sweet and flavorful honey mustard sauce. Awesome pairing! I love the set up of the cafe, it's very unique. Theirs a good amount of sitting so if you needed a place that could a good amount of people for a special event it would work out! their was plenty of staff, taking orders unfortunately the kitchen was very slow. The cafe was empty so it was just me and a group of people which came for my wedding brunch. But it took a hour to get our food on the table. It was a busy day and I had places to be! Normally I'm not a Karen but it was my wedding day, so the schedule just made me a lil stressed time wise. The waitress was very social, she did her best with what she had while waiting on the food to be prepared. When we finally got our food, it was delicious, I got the waffles and berries with a side of Mac n cheese. Sounds like a weird combo and it is but it was delicious. I'll definitely come back again to see if it was just a off day and update my review to see it was just a bad day. We came in here for a business lunch. We got sat down right away. The atmosphere was nice. I like the feel of the restaurant. You can tell they take care of it. I ordered the avocado burger with raspberry lemonade. The avocado burger was delicious. It had fresh avocados on it and the patty was juicy. My husband and I ordered Station 22 to go for the first time today. We've always had great food in the restaurant. We arrived right on time and went straight home (about 10 minutes). Our food was not even a little warm and suuuper soggy. Yum wet sandwich. The fries somehow managed to be soggy too. They forgot the ranch I requested and the jam for the biscuits- my favorite part. Im super disappointed to have spent $50 on a meal that wasn't even a little decent. read more

Station 22 is the toxic relationship you keep coming back to. Service is hit or miss, whether they have the items advertised on the menu in stock is hit or miss, and the menu changes frequently enough to leave you disappointed you can't get what you know you love there. Otherwise the ambiance and food is good and I know based on years of this that I'll get sucked in to coming back again. What a great atmosphere, I really love the whole aesthetic of this place. I've been here a few times in the last year and each time it's different, their menu changes up sometimes but the food quality is always top notch. So my old review about 5 years ago had 5 stars but our experience today was awful. Haven't been here in about 3 years after moving away. They must have changed management or something. The food was terrible. Not as flavorful, different sauces, and came out COLD which is a sin in dining. Our server (can't remember her name) was also awful. She didn't even apologize for the food being cold and brought the check out right after bringing our food...like calm down. I hate giving bad tips to people but I truly felt like she did not deserve a quality tip. I pay for quality and this was far from that. Save yourself the time from going here. The only reason I'm giving this a 1 star is because my family ended up with violent food poisoning and in urgent care. The food tasted good and the service was good too! We ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich, the biscuits and gravy and the American cheeseburger. Mac and cheese as a side! What a great little place! A friend invited us to meet him there. An eclectic menu with an amazing assortment of Rootbeer. I had the Chubby Burger, a juicy burger topped with pulled pork, cheddar, a buttermilk fried onion ring, and BBQ sauce. It was so juicy, tender and had a great flavor. The fries were also great. Others had the Fried Catfish Po'Boy, and the Chicken Salad Sandwiches, all of which were great. And their home-brewed Brew 22 Rootbeer was smooth and creamy. read more

This place is ok, went here on a recommendation from a friend. I saw that they had Poutine which is basically gravy fries so I was there!!! Right when we walked in the place wasn't too busy but the staff seemed to be running around like they had no idea what was going on. 3 separate people greeted us which was nice but it was easy to tell the 1st 2 were not the hostess and we're trying to cover for her. Once the hostess came up she just seemed pissed we came in and was rude. The food was great and the POUTINE WAS AMAZING!!!! Loved my sweet potato fries and the freshly made raspberry chocolate cake was so wonderful!! They have crazy amounts of bottled soda there and then root beer in kegs which is unique and fun but I wished I had the option of normal soda too. Root beer is so sugary and bottled soda is fun but not to drink a lot of. All if our food was amazing except for the deviled eggs, they tasted weird. I'm used to sweeter tasting deviled eggs, these kinda taste pickled and don't have much filling. They were pretty but again didn't look like the average deviled egg. Our waitress was absolutely amazing!! But for the entire meal the hostess stomped passed us so she could sulk in the back until someone walked in and then would stomp back letting the entire place know her distain of the people who had the audacity to walk in the restaurant. My fiancée and I love trying out new foods. My fiancée's favorite food of all time is chicken wings, so we planned on going to a restaurant I have always wanted to try in Provo called Station 22 on Center Street. I have always heard that Station 22 makes excellent chicken wings with great flavor, so naturally my fiancée and I were excited to try them. We drove to the location, and parking was rather easy to find along Center Street. The wait was 20 minutes, which was completely fine as it gave my fiancée and I time to talk with each other after a long, busy day. We also looked over the menu so we could know what to order as soon as the waitress would seat us. We identified the chicken wings on the menu, and we both agreed that the buffalo sauce seemed the most appetizing. After getting to our table, the waitress was surprised that we both immediately knew what to order. It was not long before the arrival of the highly anticipated buffalo chicken wings. I hesitated to partake of the freshly served chicken wings, for they were hot and exceedingly steamy. My fiancée was particularly excited to try them, because they were much larger than your average chicken wing. After a few minutes, the grand moment finally ensued in where we partook of the appetizer. To our astonishment, the chicken was well fried, the texture was on point, and the chicken was succulent. However, the buffalo sauce had a rather peculiar taste, that of which was the taste of ketchup or even barbecue sauce. Buffalo sauce, as the educated and experienced food taster knows, usually has a spicy, zesty flavor. The sauce we tasted was sweet and tangy. Concerned, my fiancée asked the waitress if the correct order of chicken wings were delivered to us, and the waitress confirmed that they were. She also expressed that many of the customers commented at the unusual flavor of the buffalo sauce. We continued to eat the chicken wings, but we were disappointed, and our expectations were indeed subverted. We enjoyed the entrees and our overall experience at Station 22. We had a great time together after a stressful week of classes, homework, and exams. If we are to ever return to Station 22, we will for sure order again from the entree menu, but perhaps we will order a different appetizer and save ordering the buffalo wings at a different restaurant. read more

They're signature dish is their fried chicken, and five of us had that and agree if was very good! But the waffles that came with it--literally were cold. The syrup was excellent, but on cold waffles--that was disappointing. Could have been five stars if they had been hot and fresh. My son got the chicken-fried steak and loved that. read more

This is actually a very underrated place. The food is very tasty, gourmet style, delicately planned and prepared to create a mouthwatering fest in your digestive system as a whole. All their sandwiches are very artisanal, meaning, they are very unique and creatively mixed to give you a really different sandwich experience. I really like all their items. Their fries are nice, and they also have a salad bar buffet style for lunch time. It has a very hipster-ish, relaxed style, and it is definitely an enjoyable place. I ordered the chicken sandwich, step aside chick-fil-a, Popeyes, and whoever else is trying to win the chicken sandwich race--this is the best I've ever had. Southern, comfort food with plenty of drink options! A must if you're in the area! We tried 22 for the first time and it was great. The wait was pretty long, about 35 minutes, so you're going to want to come early. But boy was it worth it. A lot of the menu options are simple, comfort food options like Mac and cheese, fried chicken and waffles, burgers and sandwiches. Everything we order tasted great. They have plenty of appetizers, soups and salads to choose from as well. Their drink option seems endless too! So many different sofa flavors to choose from. Our favorite was their house made root beer. Tasted great with a hint of vanilla and was bottomless refills. The service was great. Always paying attention to detail and making sure we had everything we needed. We will go here again. Make sure you try the chicken and waffles! read more

Haven't been here in over a year and the menu isn't the same, fries are different and it's not as busy as usual. We used to wait for an hour for a seat due to the popularity. I'm not sure if it's under new management but the food just isn't as good as it was before. The Provo Steak and Cheese has great flavor but wasn't packed like a traditional cheese steak sandwich would be. We probably won't come back as the quirky seating, mason jar glasses, and other fun things we loved of it before are disappearing and the menu doesn't have our favorites anymore. I've been here a couple times and love their adult Mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, and actually they have an amazing burger as well! One of the top burgers in Utah... I would say yes! Wow! Don't waste your time! Many good restaurants within a 1 to 2 minute walk that care about their customers. Sat down for breakfast, upon ordering found-out they're out of coffee & out of orange juice. Three employees in the restaurant, one the manager & zero customers -- our first sign we ignored. I walked up to the employees, verified who was the manager & asked them all if anyone thought about waking to the store 1 minute walk away to buy coffee & 1/2 gallon of orange juice so there customers coming in for breakfast this morning could have them with breakfast. Managers response, "our shipments coming on later today". I tried again, "question, do you think if you went to the store to buy coffee & orange juice so you could offer it to customers stopping in this morning for breakfast it would help ownership maintain its customers.". One of the employees response "thank you for coming in". I walked out thinking to myself, if the owner know of the three employees being so lazing & only thinking about them & not the business, I think the would be disciplined. read more
