My go-to SBUX in Austin makes a mean matcha latte!
    Navin K.

My go-to SBUX in Austin while in town for a conference this week. Chill atmosphere, trendy music, friendly service, plenty of seating, high ceilings, and large windows which let in lots of natural light made this location at the corner of 3rd and Lavaca a favorite. And they make an excellent matcha latte. What's not to love?! Will be back!

Very cute and cozy spot, conveniently located on third Street, there's good seating. The worker seemed very nice. I got a iced cherry chai, I was very interested to see what this seasonal flavor had to offer. I received it in a large glass cup, since I am sitting in, which is the first time I have done that since they have changed their policies definitely gives it more of a sit in café feel.

Here's our receipt and our refund receipt

We walked in and ordered 3 drinks and 2 ham croissants, and a tomato mozzarella, we sat down at a table and waited for over 20 minutes, we watched everyone behind us in line and all new customers coming in get all their drinks and food, finally we went up to the counter and they told us someone else took it. But we watched and our order never came out. They stood around and watched us sitting there for 20 minutes and never asked us what we were doing. Or realized we lost our order 0/10 experience 0/10 customer service.

Sip of happiness! Love the Starbucks peeps at Westgate!

There is nothing better than starting my day with my usual coffee everyday at the Starbucks on Westgate. I have been a regular customer for 20 years and get treated like royalty! I like to think it's just for me but I see other customers treated the same. One of my favorites is Sara the store manager. She has been a staple at this store for all of these years and is like a beloved neighbor in the area. Along with her amazing team they make my day each time I go in.

Must love a Starbucks that is upbeat and clean! Love their coffee mug collection available. Great experience

Large indoor space and never too crowded. I've stopped in mid- morning many times to grab a latte and even use one of the clean bathrooms. They are very friendly and fast and the latte is consistently hot and frothy

I tried a hot mocha with coconut milk and whip, it was good, the layout was a bit different than most Starbucks, downtown Austin, tjey have a saying here, keep Austin weird, yep it's weird alright...saw some weird people and things downtown

    Iced matcha.

Sad to say I hate leaving reviews but this is to much. I asked for light ice and they added extra and there's barely any drink. Yes I want matcha with my ice.

liked my matcha lavender drink. saw a cute dog, he spilled a drink but the works gave them a free one and cleaned up the spill. calm and warm environment. 5 stars from me.

Disclaimer: I'm reviewing this not based on their coffee, but on the space. We all know what Starbucks coffee is like. It's commercial coffee. Some love it and others don't. The space is beautiful and spacious. It's downtown close to all the hotels and it's designed to host hotel goers and locals. There's a long high table by the counter, couches nearby and many single tables along the two window walls. Of course, there's strong, free wifi and many outlets throughout. If you're just buying something to bum off their free wifi, it's the cheapest option compared to ATX's local coffee shop scene.

This Starbucks crew is one of the best in Austin! At 6:30 am Jeremy, Aaron, Charity, Alex, Penny, Dasha and Roddy are cheerful and provide perfectly crafted custom coffee concoctions. Our coffee maker failed so we started fetching our morning jo here - and now we can't stop! Their daily chalkboard conundrums are win-win as humorous brain teasers. The Covid protocols are followed and the store is immaculate. For example, I was horrified one early morning- when I forgot my mask and trotted right into the shop. The baristas offered me a disposable one with kindness. I highly recommend this location.

I mean the world, these guys aren't serving the $1.45 OG from Cafe Giang, they aren't even serving the version from Loading T, they're serving the single most luxurious premium version of what Loading T did to the Giang OG: this is the definitive version of egg coffee in the world, anyone who disagrees can fight me. This drink is so spectacular it elevates it beyond a mere delicious curiosity into a universally perfect drink. In 2-5 years every specialty coffee shop will likely be copying this as it becomes trendy. Compared to Caphein, Dam has a more relaxed vibe with additional seating, which makes it a great place to hang out or get some work done. I noticed it's also a popular study spot for students, so a few extra outlets would be a nice touch. That aside, every matcha I've ordered here has been amazing in both flavor and consistency. The matcha taste actually comes through, and the drinks never feel too watered down or overly sweet. Overall, Dam is easily staying at the top of my Austin matcha list and is a spot I'd keep coming back to.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

UPDATE: many reviews mentioned 4 hour parking, but this is no longer true - it is 2 HOUR parking the with a fee of $10 afterword. Not ideal for a remote working location for more than a short break. Matcha was one of the more expensive in Austin but solid. Food was great (got the birria tacos which were SO tender, although I did have a slight stomach ache right after - maybe just the grease). Went on a Tues during the day and there were many people working upstairs (quietly), but available seats for 2 or 3 ppl downstairs.
