There was a fly in the middle of my omelette and after telling the server all she said was "That's disgusting" and took the plate. Never checked on us after that, no apology no nothing. We had to ASK to see if they were still going to charge us and THEN that's when we got a sorry as* apology. No one else checked on us after that. I waited 35 minutes and decided to walk inside just to notice my order had just been sitting there while I was just standing outside waiting. It was literally cold, not warm at all, by the time I got home. The short stack banana pancakes do not look appetizing at all, nor did they come with syrup! Weird! And some of bacon was undercooked, definitely not worth 2 pieces for $5. My order sat there and now I'm at home with cold food! The person who brought my order up should have called my name or told someone my order was ready. Waste of $50. Yummy! I went here specifically because they are "dog friendly" and my mother, who lives in Modesto recommended it. They had this really cool, hip outside patio area, equipped with colorful umbrellas, for sun, and even had a kid's play area, and a cart with Dog biscuits, and water bowls. How cool is that? The food was delicious, and hot, and served in a timely fashion. I felt my omelette could have been "garnished" a bit more, maybe sprinkled cheese on top, for example and maybe some green on the side. Not a big deal. I normally see more garnish on breakfast plates. My children's plates looked awesome. My young daughter had the chicken Caesar salad, and my son had the classic Roast Beef Au Jus, and they put cheese on the sandwich, melted, and it looked super yummy! I was tempted to take a bite, but I find Au Jus to be too salty now a days, so didn't want to chance it. My mother and wife also enjoyed their meals. I actually first came across 'Squeeze In' during a trip to Reno when searching new-to-me breakfast options. Unfortunately I wasn't able to check out the Reno location, but was super stoked to see that there is in fact a Modesto, CA location and it's pretty conveniently located! After a night of mild debauchery, I awoke with a great need for a little hair of the dog and a substantial breakfast, so my partner and I decided now would be as good a time as any to check out 'Squeeze In.' And for the most part, I'm pretty glad we did! The service was prompt and friendly, if a little bit confusing--I wasn't sure at first if there is a designated server for each table or not, as we ended up being served by a whole host of characters. But everyone was conversational and polite and made us feel really welcome. It's pretty cute inside, brightly colored, very summer-of-love vibes. The whole place was also really tidy, especially impressive as we had arrived just post breakfast rush. The menu is entirely too big. For a first-timer, it was really overwhelming. It's no secret that streamlined menus are on trend right now and have been for quite some time. It's better to make a handful of dishes really well than offer the moon and not be able to execute an amazing delivery. When I see giant menus, I'm apprehensive. Such was the case here. The food was pretty delicious and portions were grand, but not so grand as to warrant their pricing; it's a sophisticated pricing for a relaxed family atmosphere and that just doesn't jive with me (if I'm gonna eat a $30.00 omelette, I'm happier to do it at a table with a linen tablecloth, ya heard?)... It's also worth noting that my partner's hash-brown order came to our table incorrect TWICE--leaving us with a hefty to-go potato portion. Honestly, this isn't the worst scenario but it doesn't reflect well on an establishment WHO ONLY OFFERS BREAKFAST AND LUNCH to take three tries to get a hash-brown order right. I've seen a bit of buzz about their Blood Mary's but until they start offering gin as an alcohol option, hard pass. If, like me, Vodka Bloodys gross you out, opt for the mimosa. Just be forewarned that they pour 'em pretty strong (ours were barely orange at all) but the staff will be more than happy to grab you a little extra OJ to balance things out. Was in the area yesterday 1/20/22 & was in need of a good breakfast so I decided to try it . I rate it 3 stars because the food was just mediocre for me. I ordered the Quintanaroo $13.99 ; 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs, choice of meat. I ordered my eggs over hard and they still had yolk in them so they were more like over medium. For my meat I ordered ham and it just didn't taste fresh. The coffee was just okay they did have free refills so that's always good. It was satisfying to the hunger but won't be back. This trip however the restaurant itself was in desperate need of a good cleaning. Every surface was sticky. The windows were dirty, and the front door was gross. The floors had lots of litter. I love the decor and the quirky menu! I didn't want anything fancy, so I ordered the Rednecker: just a couple of eggs, 3 bacon, hash browns and toast. ($12.99) I asked to sub biscuit w/ gravy for the toast (+$2.99). I drank water. While everything tasted OK, that was not worth $16. If I remember right, there was another option where you get toast AND biscuit w/ gravy for less that what I paid? My friend had OJ ($3.99), eggs, and English muffin $8.99) he asked to sub fruit for potatoes ($1.79). Total for him was just south of $15. We can't in all fairness, totally review Squeeze In because we left before eating. But there is more in a review than the food and that's what we are going on. There are a few reviews on here, that quantify the feeling that there is room for improvement. Before leaving our house, we called Squeeze In to ask about reservation policy and find out the market price of the crab dishes. We were given answers to our satisfaction. As Covid numbers are on the rise again, we were really surprised to see most of the staff, including kitchen workers, unmasked. It immediately put us off, but being the science minded, vaccinated couple, we knew how to play it safe in those types of environments. The menu is extensive! So extensive, it can be overwhelming for anyone without an idea of what they want. When the wait staff came to take our order and we ordered King Crab Benedict and a Crab Melt, we were told that they just ran out of crab. We found it odd that we spoke to someone on the phone less than 20 minutes earlier, arrived within an hour of opening and they "just" ran out of crab. I looked around and not a single person had a plate with a crab dish. It would have been helpful if when we called, the person on the phone would have mentioned that they were "low on crab" or even out. That was our sign since we were already feeling uneasy about the possible safety of being there. I really hope we get to try this place, because the menu is outstanding. I hope the orange juice is fresh squeezed and not from a concentrate because what they charge for a small glass is over the top. I'll ask that question when I'm there. read more

Was so excited to try this place but we were all left a bit disappointed. We had three regular breakfast plates. One with bacon and eggs, one with sausage and eggs and one with ham and eggs. One with hash browns and two with spudz. The food was not bad, but it honestly was nothing special and nothing you can't get at any other breakfast restaurant. The spudz left a bit to be desired. We also ordered one coffee, one orange juice, and one coffee. Our check came and our total was $69. Which is an insane amount of money for three run of the mill breakfasts, which all only came with one slice of toast cut in half. Needless to say, this place was nice but way overpriced. You can still eat inside though which is limited. My table servers seemed to work as a team and they didn't miss a step. As for the food, this time around I got the eggs with ham and French toast. I don't prefer sourdough bread for French toast so that is my only small complaint. I did however eat it all! Large serving of eggs and the ham was charred and delicious.
