I think the biggest problem that I had here was that they asked my friends if they wanted ranch but didn't tell them it cost extra. So everyone got sides of ranch and were promptly charged. Was in the mood for some French toast and came here, The restaurant was full and the hostess so there would be a wait to eat inside but there is no wait to eat outside, so I chose to sit outside, again the service was really good even though the restaurant was super busy and they only had two cooks cooking. They were able to get a spot soon after arriving and we sat at a booth by a window, allowing us to look our at the patio without sitting in the heat. The interior is bright and fun, with vibrant colors all around. The staff was extremely friendly and the menu had so many options that it was hard to pick just one item. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict with Spuds (house potatoes). The total bill for this plate was $15.09. While I loved the eggs Benedict, the potatoes were pretty plain and I had to season them heavily in salt and pepper (& ketchup). Because the place was small, I felt like all the servers at one point came to check on our table to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Love this place! We've been a couple times, and now with COVID, and them ACTUALLY following the guidelines I've been affirmed. The first day I showed up post quarantine one wasn't wearing her mask but she put it on eventually. Everyone seems to be trying. They actually follow guidelines. I've had breakfast and lunch (Jack Johnson, Manly, Epic Eric, Dip, and serious mimosas). All were great. I love mimosas. Even their chorizo is a solid good (not amazing). I'm super picky about my chorizo. I've never walked away hungry. I do not like the home potatoes. They're kind of blah (definitely would like to try them papas y chorizo style). I don't like the cheese version either. They don't have sweeteners (like packets of sweet n' low and Splenda). That's kind of inconvenient but I also usually have my own because I may be 30 but I'm always prepared for the zombie apocalypse. It is kind of spendy for high grade diner food but I'm here for it. They have expanded their outdoor seating area and it is much appreciated that the tables are plenty far apart and under shade. They can accommodate groups up to 8. No reservations, but I called the day before and they made sure to give the staff a heads up for our group. When we got there, the lovely servers had prepared a nice spot for us. It was $16... $15 with an extra $1 for a few jalapeño slices... lame. The food was bad. The "chips" were completely soaked and mushy. So much so my fork wouldn't even pick some of them up. Just kinda mushed. The tofu was hard as a rock. My coworkers were laughing because I literally threw a piece on the table and it sounded like a rock. They were gross. I was starving so I scraped all the black beans and tomato and avocado off into a corner and piled the "chips" and tofu into the lid so I could eat SOMETHING. Even that wasn't good. Completely bland. I had maybe 3/4 cup worth of beans and avocado for lunch after spending $16. My coworkers were also very disappointed. They said the food was bland, cold, tasteless, etc. We will not be going again. Food was very good but service was not that great. We were immediately greeted and got our drinks however once our food arrived no one checked on us until we were done eating and asked for boxes. Our coffee mugs and waters were left empty for most of our meal. It was early Sunday afternoon so it was busy but I noticed 2-3 tables were repeatedly checked on next to us while we weren't so it came to a point where it felt like it was being done on purpose. From a server standpoint, I understand how chaotic a rush can be but I didn't see any reason why no one could have stopped by our tables to at least once to ask if we were good. read more
