Squeeze In - two plates of food on a table - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Modesto, California

Came here for my husband's bday at thr beginning of the month for just the 2 of us. We both got omelets along with the strawberry banana cream cheese French toast which was amazing!!! We were left very satisfied and full. Will be coming back again for the food. We also loved our server. She was very nice. The lady took our check we weren't very fond of because my husband said she keep looking at us in a judging way. I also didn't like how she dropped our card and had to step on it to get it off the floor because she dropped it and didn't clean it after. I know germs are everywhere, but the stuff under your shoes are pretty gross too. read more

My girlfriend and I went for brunch yesterday and it was definitely a unique atmosphere. She got the stuffed cream cheese French toast which was really good, too much for me but if you have a sweet tooth, a must get read more

I actually don't think the food tastes that amazing. Even their specials that were "featured" on the food network aren't that great. You'd get a better tasting omelette from almost any other breakfast place in town. The service is amazing though. And the bloody mary is really good. read more

Well here it goes, having to check out what all the rage is about! If you have not been here its definately a must! The service was top notch and a wonderful atmosphere! The menu is just perfect! Bloody Mary for Breakfast sure why not!! Mom and I both tried the Racy Tracy Omelette! This thing was screaming with bacon, sauteed mushrooms Montereey Jack Cheese and avocado! They also have a warm tomato pesto sauce that you can pour over your omelette..that was to die for!!! We both had hash browns this go round slightly crispy for our taste buds but nonetheless overall an excellent experience! I highly recommend this place to ANYONE! They are only a Breakfast / Lunch restaurant so 700a-200p.. All items served all day! A little side note, You Must Try The Chocolate Covered Bacon Well i hope you enjoy! ! read more

It's not just breakfast, it's a whole blast from the past experience! The psychodellic decor, whacking menu, and even the music from the 60's & 70's compliments the "groovy, peace and love vibe. And the service, two words friendly & fast! A lot of thought went into this restaurant, for sure. If you haven't fallen already fallen in you owe yourself a treat. Squeezing in is fun & delicious! read more

Food is great and quick service, however always busy so you should expect atleast a 20 min wait no matter what time or day you go, great food though! read more

Nice place to have breakfast & mimosas. Cute shopping center and friendly staff I recommend you try it!

Always wonderful food and an enjoyable time. Always seems to be crowded but with good reason. Worth the wait.

The crab melt was ok but I was really put off that I asked for no cheese on it but requested cheese on my fries and was charged 1.99. They did bring another set of fries and I I didn't want a third set brought out so I said they were fine. The second set brought the cheese wasn't even melted so it wasn't worth the trouble. If they remembered my table so well they should be able to confirm all the fries were left there when we left. Along with my sons meal and my daughters. I wish nothing but the best for your business and thank you for your reply. I just needed to clear it up. read more

Sadly we didn't get to try this place. We waited 45 minutes in hopes to be seated. Other people showed up and were seated before us but the last straw was when an other party arrived and waited about 10 minutes and were seated. We left. read more

Expected a bit more from this place after reading the reviews. It doesn't seem like a busy day but the team seems to be jumping from station to station. We weren't assisted by the same person twice. Had about 6 people from start to finish. The food was... food. Nothing extraordinary . Some folks wrote the "spuds" country potatoes are dry with no flavor. Knowing this, we ordered ours "Otis" style which is with cheese and onion; one of them did not have onion, but we got charged for them. Speaking of charged, this place is kind of medium-high priced for the taste of the food and the quality of the service. Presentation was great but that was about it. We paid $6.58 for 2 black coffees!? At a diner!? AND it was weak coffee!? Wouldn't return here anytime soon unfortunately. read more

Recently moved back to my hometown after living in Reno for the last 4.5 years and I was SO excited to hear a Squeeze In was coming to Modesto! Came here for breakfast early this morning and had the eggs Benedict. One of my other favorites to get is chocolate chip pancakes! I love the vibe and the many choices from the menu. I have yet to have lunch so I am looking forward to coming back! As for what others have said about a long wait- it all depends on the time and day. Another tip: join the egghead club for some fun perks. You'll thank me later :) read more

We were so excited to see our favorite breakfast place from birthday weekend in Reno!!! We love the sauces, cherry service, flip and giant and very-veg friendly menu. We love the cute atmosphere and happy music. We hear there's a wait... just be prepared. Prices are okay, parking is easy. I'm pleased. read more

I get it, we've all worked in restaurants, I know this you know that. It doesn't matter. I came here this morning with my parents, we were greeted by someone immediately. She sat us down and then a gentlemen came up and took our coffee order. As "we" (my parents) spent time deciding want we wanted, nobody bothered us. Within seconds of menus closed a third employee came up and asked us what we wanted to order. We ordered, food was very quick(Wed at 10amish) and we ate. Food was delicious, servings were huge, my mom just had eggs with a side, my dad and I order bigger portions, we each at half and took it to go. I just ate the leftovers for dinner, probably the best ever leftovers dinner in my life. Grew up in Motown, had this place existed when I lived there would have gone all the time. Makes me want to try the Bloody Mary. Also, the sunglasses chain by the host stand, which appears to be sunglasses people have left there, is amazing and helped me to remember mine. Great food, great service and great teamwork. Love it! read more

This is a fun place to visit, to see their 70s/Aliens themed decor. But the food is far from good at this location. The Truckee location is much better. I personally do not recommend this location. I've been here three times now since they've open, giving it a chance to improve. The servers are curt, the place is dirty and the food needs a lot of work. I hope this place improves for the sake of having something good in this shopping center. read more

Today was my second visit. First visit I got the veggie Benedict. Poached eggs were basically hard boiled. No run at all kinda the whole point...I tried a bite of the jack Johnson pancakes and those were bomb. Today I ordered a scramble that came with toast. Toast was burnt badly but still served? I asked for another piece. The waiter said "too well done for you?" Service was good but that's two strikes so two stars. read more

I really do like the quality of food and the staff however, on our recent visit today we noticed that prices seem higher. $3.98 for a cup of coffee! For 2 adults and 2 kids it ran us $60+ again the quality is there but not sure I can afford to frequent here. read more

Squeeze In - Racey Tracy with mushroom sauce and biscuit with gravy. In the back is the king crab omelette side hollandaise - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Modesto, California

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday morning, luckily because we were early there wasn't a wait time. This was our first time here and long story short, yes they have a ton of options and types of breakfast plates but I feel like it's so expensive and overpriced for just breakfast. I wasn't a fan of their county potato's because some were over cooked. read more

Squeeze In - Racy Tracy omelette & Shia superfood scramble - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Modesto, California

Went here for the first time on a Sunday (around 10:00 am) and it was packed! 30ish minute wait, not too bad at all. Made since once our food arrived because it was delicious! The "Jack Johnson Banana Walnut Pancakes" are amazing and worth getting a half stack for the table to share! You can't go wrong with any of the eggs "Benny" options, but the bombshell was a group favorite. Would've loved to try the biscuits and gravy but they sadly never arrived, management took them off our bill without us asking which was kind. The service was a bit scattered (hence missing part of my order) but the food and overall experience was great. We will definitely be returning! read more

Would give this place zero stars if I could, solely for the fact that the OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT Kat provided literally the worst service I have ever gotten at a restaurant in my entire life and PERSONALLY ATTACKED MY CHARACTER for expressing my displeasure with the poor service. Party of 6 (including 2 kids), after an extended wait to have our orders taken, first two plates finally come out with no issue. Although I will preface this by saying one of the kids orders was just for a fruit cup for a toddler and we had asked for this come out first because he was getting hungry/antsy. After another 5-10 minutes, a third plate comes out, made incorrectly. Waited another 5-10 for anyone to come out, owner comes out because she realized there was a mistake on that plate, takes the plate back, and does NOT (mistake in original post) acknowledge that the kids have not gotten any food either (we have been seated for about 45 minutes at this point and there are very few people at the restaurant). Another 10 minutes + go by and they come out with the two other corrected plates of food. When the owner brings out the food, we ask where the kids food is (a fruit cup and a burger we've been waiting an hour for now at this point), and the owner, who was the only person waiting on us, minus the person who brought our drinks (which were also only checked on and refilled a single time during that hour +), was completely unaware that the kids had not received their food. After another 5 minutes for the fruit cup and 15-20 or so for the burger, we finally get all of our food and I ask if I can speak with the manager, not knowing that the person who has been assisting us the entire time was the owner. Kat comes back out to talk to us and I CALMLY AND RESPECTFULLY (contrary to the owners comments) requested that the meal be comped because of the poor service. She says she will not be doing that and offered 50% off. I told her that wasn't good enough and the fact that our kids were ignored throughout the entire meal was unacceptable and I was standing by my request for the meal to be comped. I will also note that in my entire time on this planet, I can honestly never recall asking for a full meal to be comped, but the service and experience was just this bad. THIS IS WHERE THINGS GOT INTERESTING. After trying to tell me that there were things happening inside the restaurant that were out of her control (even though her mistakes were the biggest issue) , and I responded that while I understand these things happen, that's not an excuse for the level of service provided, SHE PROCEEDS TO TELL ME THAT THE FACT THAT I DONT CARE ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING IN THE RESTAURANT IS A REFLECTION OF ME AS A PERSON AND THAT IT SAYS ALOT ABOUT ME THAT I DONT CARE ABOUT WHATS GONG ON IN THERE. I was calm, respectful, and relaxed in everything that I said to her, and she lost her cool like I have never witnessed from an owner in a restaurant setting before. She tried to flip everything our group and make us seem like the bad guys for asking for such a poorly serviced meal to be comped. After more back and forth of what felt like I was in a literal episode of Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares, I very reluctantly agreed to pay the offered discount (which I probably should not have done after how we were treated) and she said "nevermind I don't want your money" and stormed off. So maybe it was just her being a prima Donna and it was all just for show? No clue. But this was without a doubt the most wild, unprofessional, disappointing restaurant experience I've ever had. I will be telling anyone and everyone who can listen to not spend a dime of their money adding to that woman's pockets. If that's how she speaks to her customers, I can only imagine how she speaks to her staff. Absolutely abysmal experience and I will never be coming back. EDIT: the owners comments that I "refused to pay over a few mistakes" and that I "behaved" in any manner other than 100% calm, respectful, and collected, are not only wildly inaccurate, they display a complete lack of ownership and responsibility for her own actions. If the people reading these comments could have witnessed how you conducted yourself, they would be as appalled by your actions as I was. read more

My first visit 7 months ago I gave 4 stars which was well deserved. Life happens and we forgot about this place. Then my wife reminded me about it a couple days ago so, we decided to come here again today (Mother's Day) for our second visit. We waited over an hour to be seated, which is to be expected on a walk-in place on Mother's Day. We didn't even mind sharing the table with a mother daughter couple. The food was also very, very good. What rubbed me the wrong way and began irritating me is I saw a theme developing. Multiple tables were getting their meals at different times instead of all together. I can understand maybe some in your party waiting a couple minutes, but several minutes is unacceptable. I watched this repeat itself a few times at a few tables. The table next to us had 3 elderly people and one of their meals arrived and the other two meals didn't hit their table for almost 15 minutes. WOW! Now for my order. We sat for a while before anyone asked if we were ready to order. When someone finally did, my wife ordered the large stack of pancakes and I decided to try the eggs Benedict with 1/4 pound of crab. I had the benefit of sitting close to where the orders are set for pickup and saw our plates up for pickup about 10 minutes after we finally were able to order. Then my plate was taken back and my wife's pancakes brought to the table. I folded my arms took a deep breath and began counting. My meal arrived nearly 10 minutes later and seemed pretty light on the King crab. I guess it was no coincidence that the head waitress came announcing to the rest of the wait staff that they were out of crab shortly before my plate came out. To top it off, not one time did anyone ask if everything was okay with the meal. Had they done so, I certainly would have questioned the amount of crab on my plate or, lack there of. When we finished I still left the wait person a $10 on a $47 check though. I get that things happen and she was very nice. I believe that this place may have been severely understaffed in the kitchen judging by the way orders were coming out and that will have a domino effect on the rest of the staff. However, that is a contingency that should have been planned for on the busiest day of the year for a popular breakfast/lunch joint. That is why I gave a well deserved 2 stars this visit. As stated earlier, the food is really, really good. We will probably be back to give another try because we had a very nice experience our first visit and it can't be overstated...the food is really, really good. I hope that this bad experience was just a fluke and that the service side of this place is more consistently in line with the food side. read more

First time I ever went here food was amazing. Today not so much! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet. The ham was all BURNT! And cheese not even melted. After picking at it for awhile I decided to ask why my cheese wasn't melted. She said she would go melt it. Come back melted cheese but burning hot potatoes they were now crispy and had a burnt taste! Sucks cause I had such a great first time experience. Next time I'll just stick to a pancake. read more

Really cool place. Amazing food I took one star away because it's a very small restaurant. I had Racy Tracy omelette with a side of cottage cheese. Overall it was OK but bland. It was Monterey Jack cheese, mushroom and bacon. I got a side of their salsa really helped. My other half had Eric's breakfast burrito with sausage and hash browns. The hash browns were covered with cheese and sprinkled with grilled . It was embarrassing, he kept making noise as he ate the hash browns. I do believe he enjoyed the hash browns. Awesome coffee and Great service. read more
