Entrance from inside of Windward Mall... to the left of the upper level of Target
    Nadine C.

Paying my aunty's bill... for television and landline telephone... It just so happened that I looked at the opened envelope on the table next to my aunty's chair. I asked her why there's a returned check? Doesn't that mean you have to pay again? Did you call? Where? I don't know. I don't remember. I knew that there was a new Spectrum location in Kaneohe's Windward Mall. It's located next to Target on the upper level. If you enter from the parking lot, the door is between the upper level of Target and the entrance to the mall next to Kikuya Restaurant. I didn't want to go to the Ala Moana location... that's a zoo... LOL! This Kaneohe location is really spacious. However, there was only one worker and six stations. Yeah. The nice male worker - Sean - was helping a couple. He gave them a waterproof bag! He was very thorough and thoughtful! There was another customer waiting on a sofa. I signed in and waited my turn. At least the chairs are comfortable; there's air-conditioning; and pleasant pop music playing. The computer system crashed, and the transaction ahead of me was paused. Haha! The customer left. The store was supposed to close at 7pm. Sean locked the doors. There was another gal behind me in line, but I was next, and Sean did his best with a crashed system. He was patient and respectful. He showed me how to pay the bill on the kiosk since Spectrum will no longer accept aunty's checks. Once a check bounces, they won't accept another check from that customer. Lesson learned. Thank you!

GET QUICK SERVICE at Spectrum I changed my TV / Internet plan and had to return equipment to Spectrum so I researched the reviews on YELP and also perused the Spectrum website. From these two sources I had my game plan set and first did the following prior to departing to the store: 1) Call Spectrum to notify them of the change in plan before going down to the store so that your visit will be expected. 2) Make an online reservation on their website for a date and time to return the equipment or meet with a representative. You will receive a confirmation number via text or email. Upon arriving at the Windward Mall Spectrum I noticed at least a dozen or more people waiting for service, and the fear of a long wait entered my mind, floating in my head were the several 1 and 2 star ratings that I had read on YELP. It may not be very obvious, but it is very important that you must sign in on an iPad located at the entrance. If you miss this Spectrum does not put you in the queue for service. After signing in on the iPad I received a text message confirmation that I was placed in line for service. There were not any available seats left in the front area so I proceeded to the rear of the store and found a Covid safe seating. My butt didn't even get a chance to warm the chair as I was quickly prompted with another text message that it was my turn and to proceed to the front service desk. I bypassed the majority of the individuals that were at Spectrum before me so I theorized that they didn't make an online appointment. I was immediately greeted by a Spectrum Sales Specialist Sailen Farias. He was very friendly, made small talk, and efficiently handled my return. In total I spent less than 10 minutes in the Spectrum store and left a happy customer. I believe that the lesson here is to prepare yourself, do your research before you go, and follow the instructions....Your chances of a favorable outcome will be greatly increased.

I checked out the deals available from Apple and compared them to AT&T and determined that I would receive almost 3 times more for trading in my phone at AT&T. Yes, I realize that I would be locked into a phone contract for 3 years, however, I had no intention of switching carriers and have been with AT&T for at least 20 years. I made an appointment online prior to physically visiting the Kaneohe AT&T store in the Windward City Shopping Center. My recommendation is to always do this if online reservations are available regardless of the business... I really dislike wasting time waiting. I arrived at the store 5 minutes prior to my appointment, walked in, and was immediately greeted by Ryan Ramil who asked if he could help me with something today. I mentioned that I was interested in upgrading my iPhone and learning about the available plans and deals. I noticed that there are several YELP reviews mentioning impersonal poor service, but I didn't get any of that from Ryan. He gave me his full attention and explained things as best as he could to answer my questions. In the end Ryan got me an iPhone 14 Pro with the best deal possible with my trade in, got me an additional discount on my plan that I never knew about, and ended up with a much better plan than what I had previously at the same monthly rate. Ryan even offered to help transfer the data and settings to my new phone for me, and was very patient guiding me through the process. Wow, I walked out the AT&T Store with a brand new iPhone and a smile on my face! Great job Ryan and AT&T Kaneohe.

Poor customer support on the phone and I always need to go into a store after speaking to a rep for over an hour. If you are thinking of switching carriers be warned!!! AT&T is horrible. I am locked in for 36 months and I dont want anyone else to have to suffer through what Im going through. If you travel internationally, their roaming plan sucks. If you prefer apple care and want insurance, it is very different from Tmobile. I am only able to do a group insurance that covers only a couple phones at a time. It CRAP. No apple care. I highly discourage the switch to AT&T.

Leading me to assume that I was going to be without my phone for a day. The counter girl asked for my email and said it would be about 30 minutes. The kid doing the work confirmed that yes, it would take about 30 minutes. So i handed my phone over and did some shopping. I came back about 30 minutes later, and sure enough. The repair was complete. While i was waiting in line to pick up my phone. The Tech kid was explaining to customer when its a good time to replace the battery, and when to get rid of the phone. Found their conversation enlightening. I paid the $80, with a thank you, and out into the world i went. The only knock I would give them is the credit card "surcharge". Which I was told about at the very beginning. So if you go there to get your phone repaired. BRING CASH... I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I…read morespoke to Joy which was helpful in letting me know the estimated price as well as what locations are available for same day repair. I arrived to the location at around 12:30pm (time stamp in image.) I spoke to two employees. I talked to one employee that took a look at my iPad and confirmed the price and time to pick up (2 hours). I also confirmed again with the guy who managed the payment that it would take two hours. I show up around 4:45pm and no one greets me walking in. So I walk up (five minutes later) to the first employee and asked if the tablet is ready. She told me, "Oh you're early, I just have to put on the screen." It had been 2+ hours since I dropped off so I was confused but I said I will wait till they are done. I came back around 50 minutes later and the repair is not done yet. At this point it is already 5:45pm and it has not been finished. I wait until 6:18pm and she hands me it without apologizing for the wait or anything. I regret not saying anything about the time issue but it feels conflicting because of all the things I signed and I am not sure if I am in right to. The problem is not how long it takes, but it was the misinformation about when pick up would be. I confirmed with two people that it would be ready in two hours. It came out to almost 6 hours. I would not have minded dropping it off and coming back another time, if they had communicated that. But I was told it was 2 hours so I waited there, standing in the store and not wanting to rush the employees. The repair itself is excellent but the customer service was conflicting. I paid $329.84 and expected quality care. I do wish I had a better experience because it seems others do.

Just wanted to drop in and share what a wonderful experience I had making the switch over to…read moreHawaiian Telcom. Honestly, I'd been with the Spectrum for many years. But when my internet bill went up to $100 a month. I'd had enough. So I stopped by the Hawaii Telcom kiosk in Windward Mall. I met and was helped by Regina Espinoza (she gave me her card to share) . She shared about their program that is only $40/month for high speed internet, the process is locked in for 5 years, this process includes the router AND the first 2 months are free. She didn't have to tell me much more. I was sold at $40/month! She was able to set me up for install the following Wednesday, we decided on a time, afternoon. And we were set to go. On Wednesday afternoon, Robby our installer called to confirm the appointment and to let us know about what time he'd be at our home. Then he called again while he was on his way. My home is in a warehouse, so during the work day, parking can get a little tight. So I called him and told him that I'd make sure that he had a place to park. I had him park in my stall, while I ran some errands. I came home when I knew the parking lot would be clear. And Robbie was leaving to go up the road to make some kind of connection he needed for my install. He came back after a short while. He was very pleasant and courteous. He helped me download the app that I needed to complete the set up, walked me through the app set up and even helped me put my router up, off the floor, so my internet service wouldn't be so spotty. Last of all he asked if I was keeping Spectrum, I told him no way. And asked him if he'd help me take the Spectrum hardware off. He took all the PCs wrapped all the cords and put them on the floor in an easy place for me to get to. I can't express what an excellent level of excellence I received. I'm a very happy new customer and grateful to be "locked in for the next 5 years! " Big Mahalos to Regina and Robbie, for being wonderful examples of Hawaiian Tel com's excellent customer service!

If you want to hear a true-crime story, keep reading, if not, just skip to my synopsis in the last paragraph. A seemingly nice salesman walked around our neighborhood making all kinds of sales and speed claims and price claims, et cetera. He managed to wrangle my contact info out of my dear wife so that he could contact me and inform me of my options, and my very first call is an autodial saying that I'm signed up for a service installation at some date and time they decided to choose?!! Then, I start receiving spam emails about an upcoming service install. I call them up and the man on the line with a thick accent is asking me what the name on my account is and I'm trying to explain that I never even spoke with the sales person, much less agreed to any service, much less, created an account with them. I offer my name and nope! That's not it. We finally figure out that they snaked my wife's name and they've now made up an account with her name on it and now they want me to have her authorize me to speak on her behalf?!! So basically we're now in identity theft territory. I patiently but firmly ask to make a formal complaint against this salesman who conned my wife. But surprise, surprise, the system somehow does not list the name of the salesman. (But I guarantee the company would know who to credit with the "sale" if it somehow went through, otherwise, Mr. Salesman would not be visiting houses if he isn't getting paid.) I am told that they will look into it and "if they can figure it out", they will get back to me. After pressing the agent on the phone, he admits that they actually don't really have that info available to them in their system (so obviously, they would have never called me back). Synopsis: This company is basically a black hole of starless (pun fully intended) darkness: lying and identity-thieving salespeople, zero transparency on who sold or setup our "account". It's institutionalized theft. Run, do not walk from them and for the love of Pete, do NOT give anyone who represents them or claims to represent them your contact info- Take a card (if you MUST) and tell them, that WE will call YOU (if/when we lose our minds, forget completely about this Yelp review (and the thousand like it), and are looking to begin a long term, abusive relationship, against our favor). 2026-07-06----Response to Maria (or is it Jode?) from HawaiianTelcom. I don't have time to further detail anything that hasn't already been said. If, however, you can provide proof that your sales people have been retrained to NOT sign people up for service they never agreed to, AND show proof that Hawaiian Telcom has updated their systems to have some transparency by simply allowing their own "help" department visibility into who made the sale, then I will consider revisiting my review. But until then, this is my honest experience and a warning to my friends and neighbors to not give your info to these folks. The lack of accountability seems institutionalized and if so, it would indicate that the apple is rotten to the core.
