I arrived to the location at around 12:30pm (time stamp in image.) I spoke to two employees. I talked to one employee that took a look at my iPad and confirmed the price and time to pick up (2 hours). I also confirmed again with the guy who managed the payment that it would take two hours. I show up around 4:45pm and no one greets me walking in. So I walk up (five minutes later) to the first employee and asked if the tablet is ready. She told me, "Oh you're early, I just have to put on the screen." It had been 2+ hours since I dropped off so I was confused but I said I will wait till they are done. I came back around 50 minutes later and the repair is not done yet. At this point it is already 5:45pm and it has not been finished. I wait until 6:18pm and she hands me it without apologizing for the wait or anything. I regret not saying anything about the time issue but it feels conflicting because of all the things I signed and I am not sure if I am in right to. The problem is not how long it takes, but it was the misinformation about when pick up would be. I confirmed with two people that it would be ready in two hours. It came out to almost 6 hours. I would not have minded dropping it off and coming back another time, if they had communicated that. But I was told it was 2 hours so I waited there, standing in the store and not wanting to rush the employees. The repair itself is excellent but the customer service was conflicting. I paid $329.84 and expected quality care. I do wish I had a better experience because it seems others do.

The wifi itself is easy to use. They explain to you when you pick up, but its all pretty self explanatory. The battery lasted pretty much the whole day if fully charged and is small enough to carry around with you all day without adding extra weight. You can return the wifi when you get back to Hawaii on the departures floor after getting your luggage. Would highly recommend booking for your next Japan trip!

The pocket WiFi was different from what we used before. It was newer, thinner, and lighter. The only downside was that there's no indication on how much battery is left. You need to scan the QR code sticker on the back of the pocket WiFi and the status will be shown on your phone. It is a little inconvenient and the website to show the status was pretty wonky and in Japanese. Regardless, the WiFi was good. The signal was great when we were visiting major cities such at Tokyo and Osaka. There was an issue with connecting when we first arrived but we reset the WiFi using the paper clip pin provided in the bag. The bag included instructions, paper clip, and charger. Overall, the WiFi signal is not perfect but it is good enough to last your whole trip in Japan without any major issues. It lasted about little over 10 hours on a full charge. The pocket WiFi is convenient and pretty affordable to share among 5 people without having slow data.

For enabling a new phone, the process takes much longer but it's great to know that you can still talk to people in person for services instead of trying to figure it out online cause the website can be confusing. They are in Market City and the parking is not great. The lot is usually packed and the spaces are very tiny. I recommend parking by Ben Franklin and walking up.

He asked for an I.D and started the process of getting what we needed the replacements of the 2 cable boxes. SAGE talked and worked fast at the same time which made it go by so fast. It was a very nice and comfortable first experience. By 7:10pm and only in 20 minutes we were walking out the door with what we came for. We went home and set it up and it's all good again. When we arrived, all of the staff were busy with customers. One gentleman greeted me and told me that I would be next despite seeing two people sitting at opposite ends of the entrance. It turned out both were waiting for their friend or relative who were already being helped. A few minutes later, Dante introduced himself and asked me what I needed. Describing the situation and my friend's phone information, he started working on the phone. A few minutes later, he asked me to call the number and the problem persisted as it went directly to voicemail. We tried again unsuccessfully tinkering with the phone. He excused himself and walked to his work station. When he returned, we tried again and this time it worked. We tried it again once more to confirm there were no more issues. T-Mobile is one of the largest mobile carriers in the nation, so the service and network coverage is generally pretty good and reliable. No problems with that with me - usually. I decided to upgrade from the iPhone 15 to the iPhone 17. This time around, I wanted to pick up the phone from the store instead of having it delivered to my home via UPS. I walked into the T-Mobile retail store that Saturday morning. Along the way, I passed the Apple Store and there was a freakishly long line there. There was a bunch of people at the T-Mobile store too, but the wait wasn't too long. I checked in and they told me the wait for service was about 30 minutes. So I left and had lunch and came back. There is plenty of people here waiting around to get service as well. I probably spent the bulk of an hour and a half or so here getting my new phone, purchasing the screen protector, and the phone case. The transferring of the data was helped by the Apple store employee, which was very helpful and knowlegable during the entire process. The overall experience here at the T-Mobile Ala Moana store was decent, due to the waiting, but exceptional, since I got the last iPhone 17 ProMax in store that day. I was estactic. The T-Mobile store was stocked with every accessory you can think of for your phone. They helped me set up my new iPhone along with the transffering of data. After all that, we erased the data that was on my former iPhone 15. The atmosphere inside the store was warm, and maybe they didn't put on the air conditioning full blast, but it was comfortable enough. The T-Mobile store was a simple set up. It felt inviting. T-Mobile Ala Moana is located on the 3rd floor of Ala Moana shopping center, directly upstairs from the Jamba Juice and Bloomingdale's wing of the mall. They accept major credit cards, although I am not sure if they accept cash. As far as parking goes, your best bet would be mall level parking as close as you can to the store. There is no shade, but at least you don't have to climb stairs. There's plenty of parking here at the Ala Moana shopping center, but make sure you know where you parked. As for me, many bus routes start or end at Ala Moana shopping center. Choose the route(s) that's perfect for you. And as always, there's always Uber and Lyft if you need them. While the location in the mall might be obscure, it's centralized for your enjoyment. I had to look around to find it the first time, but once I figured it out, I was glad it was here at Ala Moana.
