Rory and his Work Family are SUPERB!!! I moved from Kirkland in May 2019 kicking and screaming to Capital Hill to Move in with my Husband. Single Shot was the second best thing in my life here. They give top notch service without trying. I have celebrated every milestone here at Single Shot. They are the entire package for sure and located in a great spot on Capitol Hill. We got married during COVID and was all set for our celebration there. I literally cried when I concluded that we were not going to be able to go through with our plans. There's always fresh cut beautiful flowers to complement the ambiance. There's an open kitchen and you can see all the action that's creating Edible Love. Last night we had dinner with our neighbors celebrating My birthday. As always, they didn't disappoint I will also say that his level and quality of service is shared with all that Dine there. I also love that guest get dolled up and handsome, which to me is a strong compliment and respect. We will be moving back east at the end of summer. Single Shot will ALWAYS have a piece of my heart. Rory, job greatly accomplished and appreciated.

    Salmon Lox on Sourdough Toast

Came here with a group of 4 on a Sunday afternoon and the place was absolutely packed -- clearly a popular brunch spot. Our server, Isaiah, was attentive and friendly the whole time, checking in on us and keeping things pleasant even though the kitchen was clearly slammed. The food took 30-45 minutes to come out, which felt long even accounting for how busy it was. Once it arrived, though, everything was genuinely delicious -- we ordered the omelette, bacon egg sandwich, salmon lox, and breakfast skillet, and all four dishes were well executed with no complaints on quality. One nice touch: they were sadly out of the pancake we wanted to order, but instead of just shrugging it off, they made us a complimentary mini pancake with the remaining batter. Small gesture, but it was excellent and said a lot about the kitchen's attention to detail and hospitality. Would I go back? Probably, but I'd try to hit it at an off-peak time if I can. If you don't mind packed weekend brunch crowds, this place has a lot to offer.

A nice hidden gem, tucked in between businesses and residential. Worth trying out for their good coffee and food items. The service was excellent and attentive, and also, social in the best way. I enjoyed a refreshing Bloody Mary and my friend got an iced latte. I went with the biscuits and chorizo gravy, my friend had the breakfast skillet (wish I got a picture). Overall, a good experience and a fulfilling meal.

I went to get brunch on a Saturday. We made a reservation the day before - it was easy since there were a lot of spots to choose from. There seemed to be available seats for walk-ins when we were there too. I had the pancake and my friend had the eggs Benedict. Pancake was very fluffy and the presentation was really nice. The pancake tasted just ok honestly, but I liked the berry compote on top of the pancake. I also had the iced latte, which went really well with the pancake. I had some of my friend's eggs Benedict too, but I think they overcooked it.

Great spot with really nice ambience! The food came out at a good pace and every dish tasted amazing! I really enjoyed the hamachi crudo with the additions of the pepper for heat and fruit for sweetness. Service was great and the server explained the menu really well.

Single Shot was a great experience! We called last minute to ask about outdoor seating for two and a small dog, and the staff member who answered was very friendly and let us know they were busy, but that he had a table currently open he could hold for us. They don't have dedicated parking, but there was plenty of street parking in the area. The outdoor seating was very cute, covered, and great for people watching. The asparagus and cauliflower appetizers were amazing, as was the salmon dish. Our server was very attentive. The tiramisu had cocoa nibs instead of powder which was not my favorite twist, but that's the only critique I could reach for.

We really enjoyed this spot in Capitol Hill! It was a quick walk from the light rail station. We sat outside and the vibes were lovely. We had a cute spot right on the patio. Our drinks were delicious and unique. The bread with the miso ricotta and honey butter was out of this world! We all really enjoyed the flatbread too. Service was great, and he gave good suggestions on the menu. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a delicious meal in a lively neighborhood.

Had the pleasure of dining at Single Shot last night with a group. Ambiance was warm and cozy as mentioned in other reviews. Parking is challenging as you'd expect on Capital Hill, Lyft or Uber is a good idea. We sampled many things on the menu, gnocchi, roasted cauliflower, and pork chops were stand outs. Note the menu seems to change regularly so it looks like you can come here often and never get bored. We ordered 1 of every dessert, all were amazing (lemon tart, tiramisu, strawberry shortcake and a chocolate dessert).

This is a cute little cafe in Capital Hill. Parking is kind of a pain in that area, but I was able to find street parking a block away. We came in right at 10am, it was very cold in there, although we did sit by the window. I imagine they keep the heat down overnight and we were there first thing in the morning. I ordered a cappuccino and the salmon lox. The espresso is very good, I'm not sure where they get their coffee, but I enjoyed it! I was also very impressed by their salmon lox! I am somewhat of a connoisseur for this meal, I order it at every restaurant, and this was top tier! Goat cheese, capers, egg, arugula, all hit perfectly as well as some aioli. I would rate it the best salmon lox I've had in Seattle. 5 stars! The service was also great, our server was polite, attentive, and was able to cater to some minor requests. I would 100% recommend this brunch spot to an anyone in the area.

The food here was pretty tasty! The portion sizes were a little small for the price, and the service was very slow. We had made a reservation but still had to wait for about 20 minutes until we were seated. Then, they only had one waitress for the whole restaurant so it took a while to get our order in and get our food. With that said, the food is good, but for the overall experience, I'd go elsewhere.

I was recommended this spot for brunch and it was pretty good! The inside is elegant and cozy, and definitely a nice spot to take others. We made a reservation ahead of time which seemed like a good idea, as it was quite busy inside. Upon being seated we were asked numerous times if we would order drinks, and when we politely declined the waitress didn't really seem to like that. Nonetheless, we ordered our main entrees - I got the eggs benedict, which seemed to have high praise. The food came our relatively quickly, and was presented beautifully! I did enjoy the benedict - the egg was slightly runny, the hollandaise was good, and I loved the proscuitto. They used bread instead of the classic english muffin, but I think I liked this more. The potatoes were also good but nothing special - I felt like I could taste each individual seasoning and just make it myself. For the cost I never think brunch food is that worth it, but this was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd be back often, but still a good experience.

Wonderful food and service We came here for a birthday dinner. The kale salad, focaccia bread, and hamachi crudo appetizers were delicious. I got the agnolotti but wish I got the gnocchi since I tried that too and liked it better. The guys got pork chops and enjoyed that. All the drinks we tried were delicious. I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner!

Really small, cute, and tidy aesthetics. Really great, inventive food. The roasted cauliflower is spendy, but I guarantee it will be the best you've ever had! Fantastic cocktails, limited beer selection. Only flaw is that service is pretty pokey. We sat at the bar and were the only people there, the whole place was closing down and...they still were not giving us our tab. It reminded me of being in Italy where you sometimes have to beg and plead to get your tab.

It was super nice trying all of these rare bottles that I wouldn't even be able to find, and they were all interesting and delicious! The food here is also fantastic. We came during happy hour since the food is a lot cheaper. My favorite things were the Dry Aged Steak Frites and the Crispy Pork Belly. The steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender with a great beefy flavor. I love a good french fry and these were fresh and crispy. The pork belly was tender and fatty but the fat was nicely rendered so it wasn't chewy. I love the Asian inspired flavors and the kimchi slaw provided the perfect acidity and freshness to complement the fatty pork belly.

We booked a table in advance to catch an early bite, but the Happy Hour menu looked so good that we decided to sit at the bar instead. We ordered the Tuna Tartare, Clams, Pork Ribs, Grilled Eggplant, and Fennel Pickles from the Happy Hour menu, plus the Roasted Olives with extra Sourdough Bread from the main menu. Honestly, every single dish was delicious. The absolute highlights for me were the olives, tuna, pickles, and the sourdough! Here's a quick breakdown of what we had: Sourdough & Herb Butter: Absolute perfection. Crisp on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside. The herb butter was heavenly! Roasted Olives: The ultimate cocktail pairing. Tuna Tartare: The addition of cucumber made it taste so fresh and vibrant. Fennel Pickles: So addicting--I'm still thinking about them! Pork Ribs: Loved the Gochujang (Korean chili paste) sauce, which felt familiar and comforting. The flavor was great, though it had a slight pork aroma that might appeal more to those who enjoy a richer meat flavor. The cocktails were fantastic across the board. Now I completely understand why this place was constantly packed--unbeatable prices, top-tier food quality, and excellent service. Finding great food always sets the mood for a perfect day, and this place definitely made my day!
