Great spot with really nice ambience! The food came out at a good pace and every dish tasted amazing! I really enjoyed the hamachi crudo with the additions of the pepper for heat and fruit for sweetness. Service was great and the server explained the menu really well.

This is a cute little cafe in Capital Hill. Parking is kind of a pain in that area, but I was able to find street parking a block away. We came in right at 10am, it was very cold in there, although we did sit by the window. I imagine they keep the heat down overnight and we were there first thing in the morning. I ordered a cappuccino and the salmon lox. The espresso is very good, I'm not sure where they get their coffee, but I enjoyed it! I was also very impressed by their salmon lox! I am somewhat of a connoisseur for this meal, I order it at every restaurant, and this was top tier! Goat cheese, capers, egg, arugula, all hit perfectly as well as some aioli. I would rate it the best salmon lox I've had in Seattle. 5 stars! The service was also great, our server was polite, attentive, and was able to cater to some minor requests. I would 100% recommend this brunch spot to an anyone in the area.

    Outdoor Seating

Single Shot was a great experience! We called last minute to ask about outdoor seating for two and a small dog, and the staff member who answered was very friendly and let us know they were busy, but that he had a table currently open he could hold for us. They don't have dedicated parking, but there was plenty of street parking in the area. The outdoor seating was very cute, covered, and great for people watching. The asparagus and cauliflower appetizers were amazing, as was the salmon dish. Our server was very attentive. The tiramisu had cocoa nibs instead of powder which was not my favorite twist, but that's the only critique I could reach for.

We really enjoyed this spot in Capitol Hill! It was a quick walk from the light rail station. We sat outside and the vibes were lovely. We had a cute spot right on the patio. Our drinks were delicious and unique. The bread with the miso ricotta and honey butter was out of this world! We all really enjoyed the flatbread too. Service was great, and he gave good suggestions on the menu. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a delicious meal in a lively neighborhood.

The food here was pretty tasty! The portion sizes were a little small for the price, and the service was very slow. We had made a reservation but still had to wait for about 20 minutes until we were seated. Then, they only had one waitress for the whole restaurant so it took a while to get our order in and get our food. With that said, the food is good, but for the overall experience, I'd go elsewhere.

Wonderful food and service We came here for a birthday dinner. The kale salad, focaccia bread, and hamachi crudo appetizers were delicious. I got the agnolotti but wish I got the gnocchi since I tried that too and liked it better. The guys got pork chops and enjoyed that. All the drinks we tried were delicious. I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner!

    Chef's flatbread

everything was great! The staff, ambiance, & food. Table favorite was the beet salad. We also enjoyed the barata, gnocchi, chefs flatbread & the grass fed New York strip steak. Will be coming back.

I was recommended this spot for brunch and it was pretty good! The inside is elegant and cozy, and definitely a nice spot to take others. We made a reservation ahead of time which seemed like a good idea, as it was quite busy inside. Upon being seated we were asked numerous times if we would order drinks, and when we politely declined the waitress didn't really seem to like that. Nonetheless, we ordered our main entrees - I got the eggs benedict, which seemed to have high praise. The food came our relatively quickly, and was presented beautifully! I did enjoy the benedict - the egg was slightly runny, the hollandaise was good, and I loved the proscuitto. They used bread instead of the classic english muffin, but I think I liked this more. The potatoes were also good but nothing special - I felt like I could taste each individual seasoning and just make it myself. For the cost I never think brunch food is that worth it, but this was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd be back often, but still a good experience.

Really small, cute, and tidy aesthetics. Really great, inventive food. The roasted cauliflower is spendy, but I guarantee it will be the best you've ever had! Fantastic cocktails, limited beer selection. Only flaw is that service is pretty pokey. We sat at the bar and were the only people there, the whole place was closing down and...they still were not giving us our tab. It reminded me of being in Italy where you sometimes have to beg and plead to get your tab.

Food - the food was good but they didn't have too many vegetarian options that I would keep coming back for. The OJ was awesome and the pancake is HUGE. We probably both could have split it. The avocado toast on the other hand was not much of an entree compared to the pancake so it worked out. Service - they were super super busy and overrun. We were seated at the bar and we could see how hard the bartenders and servers were working and hustling about. They were working very hard and trying to be attentive though and they checked in enough. Ambiance - it's a bit too cozy and cramped for my preference but it's a cute little neighborhood brunch spot! Would recommend overall but probably wouldn't come back as a vegetarian personally.

Looked better than it taste sadly! The burrata dish didn't really have a good flavor... too sweet... and not sure what the squash did for it. The foccacia bread had a good crunch, slightly dry, but doable was not bad. But ambiance was nice, the bartender/waiter was kind! I liked how he asked "are you happy?!" If I come again, maybe I'll try the drinks.

Came on a Sunday at 11am and surprisingly it wasn't too busy when we got there but it quickly filled up shortly after. We had reservations so luckily there was no wait for us either. I got the lox toast and my friend got the eggs Benedict (without the bread since she's gluten intolerant). They made the change for her request very seamlessly and it was still delicious! The lox toast was also really balanced in my opinion. To compliment the salty flavors of the lox was an arugula and fennel salad on top with some capers; I really enjoyed it! The space is small but provided a perfect cozy space for a lovely brunch. Wouldn't recommend a large group but it's perfect for a friend or so for an adorable brunch spot in a quaint part of Capitol Hill

    Charred Brussels Sprouts
    Gregory B.

Pretty darn good small place in S Seattle. Seasonal food items with a flavor twist highlighting chefs farm-to-table orientation. Place is bustling on Sat night I was there. My reservation was at 6, and by 7:15 both standard and bar seating was full with people waiting. I would guess capacity is less than 100 diners. I felt a bit rushed once we went past 7:30 as they were trying to turn the tables for the next wave. As stated on their website, parking is neighborhood street only, and it's a bitch. I drove around for 20 minutes before I found a spot I had the charred Brussels Sprouts, which were good, but not best I'd ever had, and a bone-in pork chop, a tad dry. Kitchen accommodated my request to hold off on the grits and add some seasonal vegetables, which they did for me. For dessert had a delightful lemon tart. Service was efficient, not particularly friendly. Seems like maybe I had the owners (husband and wife team?) waiting on my table. Fantastic wine and craft cocktail list to compliment the menu. Patrons were largely in 25-45 age bracket, lots of couples out with friends. I would rate as $$$ a little over $100 pp (ex tip) with one cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert. Worth a visit, but not a place I'd seek out, mainly due to the parking situation

I thought this was a steakhouse and yall can't even cook a steak medium rare? One person in our party never received their salad despite asking multiple times. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

The space has a warm, modern-industrial vibe, wood floors, soft lighting, exposed ceilings, and thoughtful decorative touches. It's intimate without feeling cramped, and the open kitchen adds a nice energy. Our server was incredibly personable and professional, striking that perfect balance of friendly and knowledgeable. We did the American Omakase. We started with a trio of entry snacks: smoked anchovies, prosciutto with watermelon, and fresh focaccia. The anchovies were punchy and vibrant, definitely for fans of big flavor. The prosciutto and watermelon were refreshing, and the focaccia tasted like it came straight from a great neighborhood bakery. Course 1: Amberjack Crudo Fresh, clean, and beautifully balanced. The tomato compote and rolled vegetables paired so well together, and the flakes of salt on top really opened up the flavor of the fish. Course 2: Diver Maine Scallop Hands down one of the highlights of the night. The scallop was paired with breadcrumbs, oyster mushrooms, and a miso sauce that made the whole dish feel warm, savory, and almost Thanksgiving-like in its comfort. VERY good. Course 3: Pork Belly Served with carrot puree, apple "sauce", and leeks. The pork belly itself was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sweetness of the apple paired perfectly. The leeks were a surprise standout. Course 4: Lamb Rich, moist, and deeply seasoned, with a lovely rub. The artichoke hearts added such a sharp, earthy contrast that it legit gave me goosebumps. The potato purée and jus tied everything together. Course 5, Dessert: Chocolate something (oops it was like a mousse) with Poached Pears & Raspberry Creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. A perfect finish. Overall, Violet delivered a thoughtful, memorable meal with impeccable pacing and standout dishes from start to finish. Would absolutely return

The decorations and quaint spaces truly welcoming, and the food, excellent. Cost: High ($40+ per person)
