Their customer service is closed in the weekends. If you are trying to get answers quick physically going to Glendale can be a hassle because of the drivers and parking. The customer service is the first thing that impressed me about the Shoe Palace. Next up was the bomb music. It was loud but not "LOUD" and it was hip and trendy--not the "elevator" kind. I regret not getting the name of my salesperson, but I think I talked to everyone in that place. And EVERYONE was super friendly. I copped some dope DUB ZERO Jordan's and some super cute "Croc Candy" thingys for my daughter's Crocs. Unfortunately, they only had a side 7 and 8.5 in the Dub Zero shoes and I was unable to grab a size 13 for my husband, but I enjoyed my shopping experience at Shoe Palace. read more

Horrible customer service I just bought a pair of shoes today and the lady at the register rang me up and left and didn't even give me my receipt and I asked her if that was the receipt behind the counter and she didn't even bother to come to the register she just said "yeah" with an attitude from like 20 feet away and I just reached over and grabbed it. Shoes are fine but customer service is always horrible from what I'm seeing and hearing and experiencing. You would expect at least to get your receipt after a purchase or a thank you. But nothing. *READ ENTIRELY, BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FAR* So I called in to check if they had the New Balance 9060's in black & white in stock and I was told they did. Within minutes of walking in, I was greeted and helped immediately. Unfortunately, the representative misheard the color of the shoe I was looking for because when I went in, they didn't have the shoe on display. I was told they didn't have the shoe, which bummed me out. After talking to Luis --the store manager -- for a few minutes, he was determined to help me find the shoe. They had the shoe in stock but it was not in the size I was looking for. Not only did he check their stock, but he went above and beyond to help me find another location that did have it. While I didn't know how the shoes ran in sizing, I tried on the smaller size of the shoe I was looking for, and they fit like a glove! While determining whether or not I should go to another location to pick up a bigger side, a female associate talked to me and gave me her input of what I should do. She was very helpful and kind! I had a great experience today thanks to MOE Al-BAJA. He gave my son and I great customer service . I went into shoe palace in the Glendale today to exchange some shoes my son received for his birthday . They were a gift . I didn't have the receipt but I was able to contact the person who gifted them . Unfortunately they were purchased outside of the exchange date . MOE contact his manager and we were waiting around for a response but unfortunately we're waiting around and Thankfully Moe was very helpful and since we were able to get the receipt he grated the prices that was paid for . I really believe that the company should really change their return policies because sometime people have situations where they can not make it in the time frame or were gifted to them and not aware or when the items were purchased . Worst customer service at this location. I don't know his name but the guy with beard was super rude. He was just standing, so I asked if he can help me handling my purchase. He turned to me and said he's busy... and told me I should ask other lady to help me who's already taking care of the other customer. Officially one of the worst customer service experiences of my shopping history. I've been to other locations (Santa Anita Mall, Little Tokyo) and they were at least decent, but the Glendale one is a joke. The staff literally ignores their customers. They are either standing around avoiding eye contact or they are chit-chatting amongst each other. I don't know what the hiring process was like, but I'm starting to believe there wasn't one. I'm pretty forgiving and usually give customer service the benefit of the doubt, like maybe they're having a bad day or they're just swamped, no worries. Well I've been here at least three times (only because I was looking for a specific shoe) and they've been consistently awful but hey, at least they're consistent at something...right? The last time I went was the icing and what prompted this review. I found an Adidas sneaker I liked and was standing there waiting to ask someone for a size when one of the employees catches my eye and quickly turns the other way to hang out behind the register twiddling his thumbs. I was finally able to stop an employee because I had to sneak-attack from behind where they didn't have a chance to escape and he was ecstatic and so eager to help, no wait, that's wrong, he made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Instead of checking for sizes, he just told me off the top of his head that they didn't have the size I was looking for. Halfway through our brief interaction, he yells across the store to thumb-twiddler and shouts something about going to the gym and flexes. I thought I was experiencing early-early-early onset dementia but sadly, it was real. Honestly, it's baffling. I haven't been writing reviews on Yelp lately, but Shoe Palace has blown my mind with their lack of customer service, that I just had to. Just imagine, you're one of the newer stores in the mall, bordering Target (lots of foot traffic), you a have great sized space with nice displays and lighting, to only have your store filled with unwelcoming staff members that will drive your business to the ground. Shoe Palace, you have everything going for you except for customer service and that's the biggest deal-breaker. I'm sure there are pleasant staff members in your store that I unfortunately haven't had the chance to come across, but the ones that I have dealt with were less than helpful. This is an ONLINE review. Placed an order on a pair of shoes that happen to be sold out BUT on sale at every other major shoe retailer for $99.99. Found them online at Shoe Palace. Price was at regular price being $134.99 but I thought, well no biggie, I'll just order & call so they can price match...... (Placed two separate orders at about 5 minutes apart with Shoe Palace & Footaction on Friday March 23rd.) I've been calling their customer service number for the past 4 days!!!!!! With every call going to voicemail. Finally got a hold of them this morning, my order has yet to ship, they DO NOT PRICE MATCH. You cannot return in store either. Meanwhile Footaction sent shipping confirmation the following day, they accept returns in store, they price match & my order should arrive tomorrow. How they're still in business baffles me. Horrible business. Do not waste your time & money online & don't expect to be price matched. read more

Honestly this place is run by children who are just there for the discount on shoes and to chit chat with their friends. Walked in today looking for shoes and almost chose to not walk in because I could hear the music playing all the way from the escalators. As someone who suffers from social anxiety shopping is hard enough as it is. But approaching a store like this is almost too much. I honestly feel comfortable at this shoe store. Usually shoe salespeople can be pretty rude and standoffish but the employees here are all generally kind, helpful, and not pushy. They are very fast once you get their attention. The only note i have would be that most of the employees are young kids and can get carried away goofing off or looking down at their phone but it doesn't bother me that much. Once you ask for something their on top of it. They have very slightly better prices than other sneaker retailers as well. read more

Nobody tried to sell me anything, let alone ask if I was finding everything okay. Back when I was a teenager I would step in a shoe store and employees would jump up to see if I needed any help. Now a days these teens employees are either gossiping or too stuck up to ask if you need help. I just had one of the most negative experiences at the shoe palace located in the Glendale galleria. Mall hours indicated the stores would be open until 7 pm. At 625pm I attempted to enter the store after the two associates let two separate customers in. They refused to let me go into the store. They said they had inventory so they could not let me in? It gave me the impression that they didn't want to sell anything to me inside the store. I've been through a number of inventories and I know it's easier to count one less item maybe even two or three?!? In addition, almost all businesses need revenue during these trying times. I believe we have lost sight that first and foremost we need to take care of the customer. If the malls are closing once again those last few sales would be a very essential piece to their business. Please teach and train your associates so they attempt to take care of each and every customer in any way possible rather than just push the sale away.. I own 15 - 20 pairs of Air Force ones and was going to purchase another pair and now it's just time to be disappointed. read more
