We were advised by my 60+ mama's podiatrist to come get her fitted for supportive shoes, he recommended the Hoka brand. I knew fleet feet had a great supply and the ability to measure mama's sore feet. So, mama is a five time cancer survivor and warrior. Unfortunately she had a large mass on her toe which prevented her from being able to walk without a boot, which after months leads to body pain throughout. Her poor foot and ankle always hurt, and swelled up real bad. She had pain throughout her body from the imbalance and reliance on crutches. I didn't think we could find a pair of hokas that would fit, and even better actually heal her feet. Then we came in and met Dan, the kindest most knowledgeable specialist we could have hoped for. He was patient and supportive at every step, through mama's laser measurements- which are amazing and they email them to you if requested. Then he began the work, we tried 4 great recommendations but alas none fit, all too tight around the ankle. But Dan wasn't done, he looked at the measurements and put in an order for a men's size in extra wide trusting it would fit- and if they didn't we could exchange within 30days. Four days later, my mom put on her first pair of shoes that fit in over a year. Im in tears of thanksgiving. To see her walking in a new pair of hokas, with proper balance and arch support. She's so excited and we are forever grateful. Also, they didn't try to sell me the most expensive pair, they had an awesome shoe that was less than what I expected! We had such a wonderful experience at Fleet Feet in Burbank on Saturday! Ulises was the one who assisted us, and he was incredibly attentive, patient, and helpful throughout our visit. We were there to find shoes for my mom, who is currently wearing a boot recommended by her podiatrist. Ulises took the time to really listen to her needs and make sure she was comfortable with the options. The fact that he was able to communicate with her in Spanish was especially helpful and made the experience so much easier for her. The scanning process didn't take long--I walked in to ask for it and the first person available helped me out. But it told me a lot about my own feet. They brought out a mountain of recommendations and were extremely patient as I went through the options, weighing in with tips and knowledge. I ended up with a trusty pair of Hokas. Horrible customer service. This was my first time coming here, and I wasn't familiar with the process for getting fitted for running shoes. There were two employees at the front desk, and neither of them greeted us, acknowledged us, or explained that we needed to sign in using the iPad. For a first-time customer coming in specifically for help with a shoe fitting, I expected the staff to be a little more welcoming and helpful. The shoe selection also seemed pretty limited. The store was a little busy on a Friday afternoon but the associates are quick to greet incoming guests and let us know to put our names on the whiteboard waitlist. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest employees. They asked me if they could help me with anything and as soon as I let them know, they got right to measuring my foot and making sure I was taken care of. The person who helped me throughout the process was very thorough and patient. I ended up not even getting anything because I couldn't decide on which shoe to go with; and he assured me that it was okay. He even offered to write the names of the shoes for me so that I could have them ready in case I decided to come back. I always feel so terrible when I don't buy something after someone's been so helpful, but this was a great experience nonetheless. The only downside to this location though is their lack of selection and maybe just how dated and dingy the inside is. The employee apologized multiple times for not having enough shoes to show me in my size. Either way, the customer service was still great. As far as the value of the items go, they're all on the pricier side but that's what the MSRP is for running shoes nowadays. It has nothing to do with the store itself, really. read more

Five stars for great service and empowered decision-making. I recently visited Fleet Feet in Burbank to purchase a pair of shoes for my son. We found a pair that was already heavily discounted, which was great -- but I also had a $15 reward on my Fleet Feet account that I wanted to apply toward the purchase. Initially, the salesperson helping us, Daniel, informed me that the reward couldn't be used because the shoes were marked so low that the company would likely lose money on the sale. I explained that, from a customer's perspective, how Fleet Feet handles pricing and promotions internally isn't really our concern -- a reward should be usable regardless of the discount on the item. To Daniel's credit, he listened, considered the situation, and ultimately made the decision to apply the $15 reward anyway, telling me he would handle any fallout himself. I was pleasantly surprised by this thoughtful, customer-first response. I truly appreciate Daniel's self-directed thinking and willingness to go beyond the script. We need more employees like him -- people who feel empowered to do the right thing in the moment and create a positive experience for the customer. A friend recommended that I check out Fleet Feet because I was in need of new running shoes. I'm training for my first half marathon and have been running in a pair of old Nike Pegasus. I was looking for a shoe with more cushion and bounce, and Audrey helped me find the perfect shoe. We began a full foot analysis with a scan and a stride assessment. The tech they have at the store is pretty cool! Audrey showed me my scans and explained all the diff metrics they recorded, from the differences in my shoe size (my left foot is smaller), to the differences in width (my right foot is much wider than my left). After the analysis, Audrey went to the back to pull some recommended shoes. She brought out three pairs from hoka, brooks, and ASICS and explained the differences between them. I ended up going with the brooks ghost max! They felt so amazing on and were exactly what I was looking for. This place is pretty awesome. Prepare to wait awhile. They take their time with customers giving individual attention. (Some people were trying on so many shoes ). And they let you run in them, which is great but literally waiting for a guy to try on and run in 8 pair???.... I felt like they could be juggling two customers at a time when there are 5-6 people waiting. I did wait about 40 min before it was my turn. But if you're looking for shoes, they definitely want you to feel like you're getting what makes your body feel good. I just went to get custom inserts for my shoes. Felt the process was great. They ordered them there and shipped them directly to my house. Received them in one week. They cost $150. They feel great. Staff is definitely very knowledgeable. I had one little issue and they followed up with me, which I appreciate how they were able to give me an answer to make my experience better. Overall good experience.
