I've accompanied my sister-in-law here before while her husband went through the fit test and got a pair of recommended shoes. I've been wanting to do the fit test as well but haven't found the time yet. Over Black Friday I got a nice pair of Brooks online though and joined the VIP family rewards. If you are in the VIP rewards group, it has a 90-day Perfect Fit Guarantee so you can return for store credit, which can be used toward a different shoe or different size of the same shoe. If purchased online, you can get a refund within that time period. I called customer service to get the same shoe in a different size at the same price and went to the store to do my return of the first size. If you return in person vs mailing, the return is free. Customer service is great both over phone or in store. The three employees there in the store including the manager were so helpful with my return. Definitely recommend this location and this shoe company in general. read more

If I could give zero stars I definitely would! I just left the store and my experience was horrendous. I put my name on the list to be waited on as the store was extremely busy. Waiting and waiting and I noticed that people who had come after me were being helped. I say something to Kayla who is absolutely wonderful and sweet. The manager's name is SONJA and this review is for her!! She was so rude and basically called me a liar saying they had called my name and I wasn't listening. I mean that's absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes they are limited on colors but who isn't... if your looking for a place that is happy to have your business and will devote the time to answer your questions this is your store. Remember to join thier club adn get mucho cash back when you purchase shoe. If you need inserts they have a state of the art machine that will analyze and create them for you so when you leave you have them in your foot. I thought I was being paranoid until I checked the Yelp. It seems they choose one person to neglect and be weird and rude to a day. I got in at 10 am and was not helped till nearly 11 am. I watched Claudia count change and pose with a Celsius for Instagram before helping me. I was the only person in line. Didn't get any sincere help until Jojo took her shift. Missed a work meeting being in there for almost 3 hours. Super weird passive aggressive vibes. And I even signed up for the membership thinking maybe this was a one off weird day but it really seems like it sucks and aligns with my experience.i feel dumb for being kind to people who were unkind to me. This was my first time at this type of store and didn't they existed until my friend brought me. They specialize in finding the right shoes for you depending on what you need it for, for example, if you need it for running, other active sports, if you're at jobs where you're standing for long periods, health (ie: plantar fasciitis), /!: etc.. They have a machine called Fit Finder that can find out your foot length (shoe size), foot width (whether you need wide or regular size shoes), arch height, static foot alignment (whether you need shoes with more stability or less stability .. if you have flat feet) , and there's more (ball width, ball girth, instep height, heel width). Mitch helped the three of us and he was so helpful with his recommendations especially the shoes he had brought out to us to try. The wait was long and we were there for at least 2+ hours for the whole Process and was there until closing. We waited for at least 30 minutes before they got to us to get fitted. The rest of the time, we were trying on shoes for the correct sizes and comfort, but Mitch was helping 3 other customers at the same time so more waiting. Thanks Mitch for being so great! They were really understaffed here with only two people working on a Saturday afternoon. We were initially going to give 5 stars but the wait was really bad. We didn't expect to be at a shoe store for more than 2 hours so I deducted one star to 4 stars. Take advantage of their VIP program. It's $20 for the first year and then goes up to 50 bucks a year. We get discounts on merch including the shoes, 90 day return program no matter the condition, and much more. Shoes are really expensive but it's worth it to be able to find the shoes that you need. They also have custom made insoles for your feet (your feet will thank you) , different types of socks, therapy guns, other arch support, comfortable sandals, and etc... There's one bathroom for customers with code and appreciate that there's one for employees as well. This store is located in a large lot. It was a busy parking lot where people come and go in different directions. I appreciated the traffic light at one of the exits so we were able to make a left turn. read more

It is very difficult to get any service in this store, no matter what day or time, everyone is always Too Busy. I bought shoes, was told told to join the VIP club. I never got any of the benefits because they are always "too busy". But since that visit, MY CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN FRAUDULENTLY USED several times since then. Every time I call they tell me they have cancelled my membership and deleted my card. THEY NEVER DO. They will not cancel your membership no matter what you do. I would recommend going to Foot locker or another store. read more

I walked into this store thinking I'd be buying a pair of running shoes. Instead, I got a front-row seat to the worst customer service performance I've ever witnessed... and trust me, I've been to the DMV. First, they couldn't find my account. Weird, since I just paid for a membership here a few weeks ago. After a few minutes of confusion, they discovered they'd actually put my membership... on someone else's account. Incredible. Love that for me. My money, my membership - given to a random stranger. Solid start. Eventually, they told me they could "fix" it, which basically meant I could still get my member discount. At this point, I'm thinking: okay, problem solved, we can move on. Wrong. The two employees helping me - one of them a manager, no less - acted like me asking for help was ruining their entire day. I was polite, I was patient, I was literally just trying to buy shoes. But the level of rudeness, eye-rolls, and general "we'd rather be anywhere else" energy was something to behold. They finally found a shoe that worked for me (miracle of the century), gave me my discount, and informed me that I couldn't return them because I "wasn't a member." Yes, the same membership I had just paid for but they put under someone else's name. Make it make sense. Anyway, I leave... and while I'm driving home, I realize the cherry on top: these geniuses gave me the wrong size. Fantastic. I drive all the way back, walk in, and the same employee from earlier greets me with - you guessed it - another eye roll. No apology, no accountability, just pure unprofessionalism. Thankfully, another (different) employee stepped in, was actually helpful, and gave me solid advice. But by that point, the damage was done. This wasn't just a bad shopping trip, this was a case study in how to actively drive customers away. Between the membership fiasco, the rudeness, the wrong size shoes, and the overall "we don't care" vibe, I can say without hesitation: I will never be back. I paid extra for expedited shipping, had to call customer service after 2 days of seeing the order still says pending and was told they sent an email to the store to "light a fire" under them. Came in to inquire about a refund for a pair of shoes that were purchased 90 days prior. Store was super packed and seemed to be a bit understaffed. Even though there was a waitlist, Sonia came and assisted and answered a few questions that I had. She then went on to help a few customers but always came back and checked on me, even checking the store room for a few pairs of shoes for me in between customers. She answered every question I had and went above and beyond to assist me even though there were a ton of customers in the store. She even offered advice on sizing and fit and handled my return/exchange in the utmost professional manner. Was truly a pleasant experience and always informative. This store is beyond excellent and I see no need to ever visit a big box store franchise for your future sneakers. Overall, the place is nice for activewear, Staff is friendly however, it is understaffed. As soon as it gets busy, you may have to wait 30 minutes or more to get a representative to help you. Selection is also very limited but again if you're looking for generic, but good quality activewear, and this is a good spot to go. Just be sure not to go at a busy time. The one thing that I think that makes this place very special is there custom insoles. They have a machine that reads every variable about how you walk in your leg, Lane, etc. and then make a custom insult for you based on that information. It appears to be a very comprehensive scan of your foot and everything related to your foot impacts your whole body so an important part of being active is to make sure that your feet are taken care of because bad feet can cause bad back can cause headaches and 1000 other issues so that is one reason I would be back to this place is because of that foot scan. read more

I'm not sure I have ever had a worse experience dealing with a company in my life. I bought a pair of shoes at another location, and used my VIP membership to exchange them here. They had to order my size, but assured me I would get them in a few business days. The order still does not exist on my account. I've called Road Runner customer service something like 20 times in the past week, they have had no idea where my order is. I've been placed on hold and hung up on, sent to voicemails, then sat in hour long queues. Not once have I received any evidence of my order except for my paper receipt. The store manager even told me today that they are canceling my order and I am "not getting the shoes". Customer service then said they have no idea what she's talking about, great company, huh? If you have an issue? "It will be 72 hours for someone to reach out to you". Be prepared to be screamed at and hung up on, for having the gall to want the item you paid for. If you're ok spending full-price for running gear then REI offers much better value. The service here is 100% focused on selling shoes, and purchasing any other product--socks, water bottles, etc., is a challenge because nobody wants to stop selling shoes and work the register. The shoe selection does not include all models of popular brands and no specialty brands like Sportiva. The selection of clothing, socks, hydration belts, and other items is pretty slim. REI has more items, better service, and a stellar return policy. Not worth visiting this store. read more

Stopped by here on a whim because we wanted to try on running shoes and WOW, what an experience!!! Mounir helped us both with our custom fit finder (involves running on a treadmill and getting your feet mapped) and helped make custom insoles for my feet that felt SOOO much better than the pre made ones I have been wearing. We both tried on multiple pairs of shoes, we definitely had Mounir running back and forth between the stock room and the show room but he was SO patient and answered all of our questions. He even had a fix for squeaky insoles - add a little body glide on the bottom of the insole and it solves the squeak every time. He was so kind and even gave us a tube for free. To top off the excellent customer service, Mounir even gave us a 20% discount and a year of their VIP program for free!! We both left the store very pleased after having purchased shoes and insoles for both of us. Got a credit card alert for $49.99 from this location. I had not shopped there in nearly a year. I thought it was a fraudulent charge, since I was traveling out of state. It was late at night. I called the store but it was closed. Called my bank and they stopped the charge and cancelled my card. Then I did some research and determined it was an automatic membership fee that I did not authorized. I called Road Runner the next morning and they confirmed it was a promotion of a year ago with free membership and then automatic charge of $49.99 every year thereafter. I was very perturbed as I had not been warned in advance of this credit card charge. Nor had I received any emails all year about being in a program. I wonder how many other people got a surprise charge. read more

When we got there it was busy the two employees where both helping clients. Where patiently waiting for one of them to be available. While we waited we started browsing the different types of shoes and my son was so excited. 5 minutes after we arrived the guy that saw us walk in helped the lady that came in after. This is a very interesting place, recommended by a friend because I have neuropathy in one foot so I came here to see if they could help find shoes and they did! Pat, who said he only works on weekends, was very, very helpful in terms of measuring my feet, talking about the kinds of shoes I might want, and having me walk around the store wearing different shoes to see which felt the best. While doing this he recommended custom in-soles, and he found some that worked and the shoes certainly feel much better than the ones I buy at regular sporting good stores. I must admit that I didn't expect the price tag but as I need good shoes as I walk 3-4 miles a day, I feel it was worth it. My wife was with me and before we left she also bought a pair of custom in-soles in a new pair of shoes. I've read some of the reviews about horrible service here, but have to say Pat rocked both in helping us but also has a great sense of humor. read more

However, during my three most recent visits it has become progressively difficult to get focused service because they seemed understaffed; an employee would hurriedly ask what brand of shoes I was interested in, go fetch and drop off some shoe boxes and walk away without a word. If I needed more help, I had to go hunt them down. The employee seemed more irritated than willing to help. I will stop going to Road Runner and try Fleet Feet, a nearby competitor, who is highly touted. I don't like being treated with disrespect and not getting the service I need and deserve. TLDR: If you need running shoes & gear, come to Road Runner Sports! I started training seriously again and needed new shoes. Visited the Studio City location where Alex helped me. We did the treadmill analysis, 3D foot scan and he recommend 3 different shoes. Tried them all and picked the ones I liked and that felt good. We did the custom insoles and I left totally thrilled. Fast Forward 2(ish) months and I was back. I had started getting some aching in my right knee. Thanks to the incredible membership program, because it was within 90 days I was able to come back with my shoes & insoles. Kayla helped me and explained that the insoles had already "collapsed" and that I should get the blue ones instead, and told me in detail why. Because of the membership and that it was within 90 days I was able to exchange the shoes for a different pair, in the hopes that the new shoes + new insoles would help my knee. All for an even exchange. $0!!! Absolutely unreal that service & benefits like this are offered. If you're a runner or want to be a runner or used to be a runner - go here & get the membership and let this team help you gear up! Although the in store selection might not be as large as what is available online or elsewhere in terms of color-ways, they have every possible shoe, from almost every brand you'd want to run in!
