The staff are great and are more than willing to assist you in your search for the perfect pair of shoes. The prices are good and very competitive. They usually have some sort of deal going on if you buy two pairs... mix and match, or get yourself a couple of pairs of your favorite shoes in multiple colors. They have a wide variety of shoes, including sneakers, running shoes, and even Dr Martens. Tip: Be careful when ordering online. I have large feet. Most of the time, they don't carry my size in the store, requiring me to order them online to be shipped. My last order was a little frustrating. I was considering deducting a star due to this experience, but... I am reviewing this location, not their shipping department or their customer service in another state. I had entered a promo code online for 20% ($40) off the total price if you spend "X" amount of dollars. Which, I added additional items to my cart to reach this amount. For some reason, the discount did not apply. I noticed and contacted customer service immediately. I asked if they could honor the discount and gave them the code but was told, with no hesitation or understanding whatsoever that they would not do that. I then proceeded to ask politely if they might be able to issue a gift card for the difference that I would use on my next order. Sounds fair... right? The answer was No! I've always thought of this place as purely a work shoe location so never come for any other type of shoe. However, I was in the need of some work shoes, so I stopped by when was quickly reminded upon entering the place that they have all types of shoes, just might be the nicest overall 'brick & mortar' shoe store in the area. The prices are fair, the selection vast, no high-pressure sales people, but they're helpful when needed. The stores paid out well and clean and organized which makes shopping g quick and painless. I am a frequent customer of WSS and I like to visit different locations near me. But I have to say that the North Hollywood location was by far the most organized and clean that I have seen. The shoes were all organized and I was able able to find what I needed with the help of a store employee Cynthia. She was attentive to my needs and even recommended some merchandise based on what I was looking for. This last store visit was very pleasant, I will definitely be returning to this location. What happened to this store? I've been shopping at WSS for over 20 years. Customer service has all but been forgotten at the Vineland location. When Eric Alon was running the show customer service was number one priority. Now? They make you feel like it's an inconvenience to help you. Always huddle to the side of the counter while one person helps a long line of customers. And the worst is some egotistical condescending supervisor named Pablo. I went into the store on Tuesday, January 24 I did not like that the store was super dirty super trashy I even took pictures trash everywhere and a broom and a dustpan that nobody was using to clean up the trash was just sitting out and there was no one there to help me on the floor everybody was just standing at the front I did not understand that but I found the shoes I wanted it I have been looking everywhere I had to go back today the 25th because I could not fit my shoe and Carla Anthony and Kaitlyn went above and beyond to help me so I will say they were the best part of my WSs shoe experience and I don't think I've ever bought a pair of shoes there but they have what I want it the prices were reasonable and again they went above and beyond to find me what I wanted they were very helpful and very friendly they just need to move about the store and keep it a little cleaner other than that my experience with them was good thank you Carla thank you Anthony thank you Kaitlyn read more

WSS has mainly sneakers for the whole family. But there's some sportswear and socks. The men's section was actually great. I didn't like the women's stock. That could just be me. Yeah, but I still bought a 6pk of 68% cotton socks for women. Polyester has become popular because of durability and longevity, but smelly feet factor may be escalated. So you have to look at the labels, because some socks are 96% polyester. Manufacturers can cheat you on the cotton promoting blends. How else to be comfortable in your sweat? Private parking lot. I was in 2 different WSS stores tonight. I fully expected a madhouse - I mean, it's a super cool athletic shoe store, right? Both stores, this one and Arleta were packed yet everyone from the staff, security, etc to customers where super chill, chatty and having a nice time. I got me some new kicks! I told my boyfriend over the weekend that I'm in need of some shoes for running and working out. I found some super bright Nike shoes that I had to have. The original price: $70. Markdown: $45. Yes the service sucks as everyone mentions - quite funny actually because they had a greeter at the door who never said anything to anyone entering or exiting, wish I could get paid to do that! Avoid coming to this warehouse, cashier is rude. The tall security guard and the cashier didn't know how to check if bills are fake or not. I had just taken money out of the bank and they gave my husband a hard time saying the card and the money were fake. This is not the first time we encounter bad customer service here. ***UPDATE*** A few hours after I left my initial yelp review, assistant district manager, Jamie Garcia, called me and told me that he was able to contact the accounting department manager and verify my gift card balance of $41.40. He then apologized for all the inconvenience I went through and offered me a $100 store gift card to be picked up at the store. Because of this I changed my initial 1-star rating to 3-stars. This store has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever. Stay away from them at all cost. I had a store credit of $41.40 that was issued in 2013. When I finally found a pair of boots that I liked (!!!!!) and wanted to purchase, they said that my card is showing a zero balance because it belongs to their old system and the new system doesn't recognize it. Store manager, Cynthia Lopez, took my info and said that someone from their accounting department would contact me in 2-3 days to issue me a new gift card number. A few days passed and no one called me. I called the store again and talked to Cynthia twice before someone (supposedly from their accounting department) finally called me back!!!! This person was very vague and kept saying that there is no balance on the card. When I asked her to give me a date when the card was used she was unable to provide me anything. She gave me a super vague response and hung up on me. So I called back the customer service and after trying many different extensions (since the one for customer service didn't connect me to anywhere) I was finally able to talk to someone by the name of Saul. He took down my info and said that they'll contact me within 24-48 hours. A few days passed and no one contacted me. I sent an email to help@shopwss.com (total joke) and no one responded to me. After a few days I finally called the customer service again (had to try several numbers again until I was able to finally get hold of someone). After they put me on hold for several minutes they finally said that they can no longer issue a new number!! I said "On your gift card it clearly states that there's no expiration for this card." She then said "Yes, I understand, but I'm sorry there's nothing I can do about it." I asked to talk to her manager. She said that the manager will contact me within 24-48 hours!!!!! I needed a new pair of shoes for work, something that's all black and a sneaker. It was Sunday afternoon and the idea of wearing my current shoes to work for another week didn't sit well with me. The malls close at 7 so WSS it was, the selection was pretty good although the customer service left some to be desired. I found two pairs I liked and both were cheaper at finish line, I asked the cashier if they price matched and she said no. If I didn't work M-F and i would've just waited and gone to a finish line, the security guard who works there stares you down as you walk around the store. I purchased work boots on 3/29/21 from this location but when i got in line, the security guard came up and said he had to check my boots to make sure both were the same size. Does he think i am stupid? I know why he did that and he singled me out. He did not check the shoes to the customers before and after me. People do not let your self be belittled like that. For several weeks I've had one mission... to find a pair of freaken rain boots in a size 3 that didn't have Tinkerbell, hello kitty, sleeping beauty or Selma Gomez, I said let's go in what do I have to lose, the only pair of size 3 plaid rain boots where there. I didn't care anymore, I just grabbed them and paid my $17.00. Other then that, this place is a hot mess, kids running all over the place, boxes all over the floor, the staff speaks mainly Spanish cuz it's basically, choloas and ex cons who work here, when I went to pay and she spoke to me in Spanish I was y Que?
