Cute little shop just off Rodeo Dr that has a nice selection of the usual suspects (Sky, Twisted Heart, premium denim etc etc), and a great $60 sale rack where you can find some excellent deals. Some friends and I stopped in on a recent visit to Southern CA and found customer service to be relaxed, pleasant and helpful and not at all pushy but YMMV. First of all, I just want readers to know I've been shopping here for my jeans the last 5 years. My mom and I would always stop into this store when visiting the Beverly Center due to the fact that they have a great selection of name brand jeans and cute dresses. Last night I went to the Beverly Center with my girlfriend to find some cute jeans. So obviously i went into Divine. We picked out a few things, tried them on and came out of the fitting rooms. I was contemplating on buying this Wild fox sweater for $100 while my friend left the store to get her cell phone out of my car. So listen to what happens to me...I was checking out this tank top in these small cubby's on the side of the store when this tall rude, classless, egocenteric, arrogant sales associate comes up to me and says loud and clear "You need to leave the store right now, you were going to steal this tank top. You pulled the sensor off the top!" ???? Are you serious!?! I couldn't believe what she was accusing me of! I was in complete utter-shock, embarrassed and totally insulted!! I whipped out my drivers license and business card to show her I'm a professional with my own moral code of ethics and honor. She just stared at me and didn't say anything. I walked out, waited for my girlfriend outside the store and went back in to complain to the owner, which I did. This store is an absolute joke. First off the tacky low life women who are sales people are clueless, classless, rude and many other words which I won't waste my breath on. It was divine intervention that led me to the Divine Boutique in Beverly Hills recently. Lightning struck and I was suddenly surrounded by an array of unique jeweled tees, sexy Parisian cashmere sweaters, just released jeans and more. House music played and my dressing room became a whirlwind of activity. Whoosh! 15 minutes later and I was the proud owner of 2 new items, both of which have inspired "WHERE did you get that?" responses from SanFranciscans. Oh, prices are pretty reasonable for 90210. I never went back but my friends told me same thing happened to them. -------------------------------- If I could put 0 stars or negative stars, I would. I had the worst shopping experience ever. one of the sales rep - this tall, blonde, masculine looking rude sales rep pretended to help me in the beginning as I was walking around the store. She offered to take my dress to hold it in the fitting room for me while I shopped. But as I was handing it to her, she snatched it out of my hand and turned around. I was walking around some more, and other nice sales reps helped me look around by showing me a few other cute dresses. I was trying on my first dress inside the fitting room, and heard loud knocks on the door. The rude sales rep asked if I was doing okay. I walked out and smiled as I was walking to the mirror to see how I looked in the dress. The whole time I was looking at the mirror, she was standing there with her arms crossed, observing my every move. I felt like I was just being watched. As I walked back into the fitting room, she threatened to call security if I take pictures of myself in the fitting room. FIRST OF ALL, WHO THE HELL TAKES PICTURES OF THEMSELVES INSIDE A TINY DARK FITTING ROOM WITH NO MIRRORS? 2nd of all, why is she harrassing me with ridiculous issues? At first, I thought she was kind of kidding and as I was changing, I kept thinking about why she would joke like that. She knocked (banged) on my door AGAIN less than a minute after I went back in. She swung opened the door and busted into the room without even asking me if she could come in. Then she snatched the dresses off the wall and put them back on the store floor. I was left speechless. I was shaking and walked out of the store without even being able to say anything because that's how shocked I was. I felt like she was being racist just because I am Asian. And also isn't it invading privacy to bust into a fitting room while a customer is changing? That is not all. I even had a phone call from a friend a few months ago. I guess my friend was on the phone while she was trying on dresses and that same sales rep accused her of taking pictures with her cell phone. So this girl must be doing this regularly. Seriously, are we no longer allowed to use phones inside stores? Overall, I think she was being racist and it was quite shocking how ignorant anyone could ever be. DONT SHOP HERE. I wouldn't even give this business a star after my experience. I purchased a dress on New Years Eve and the dress fell apart within hours. I was told by the owner he would fix it if anything happened and when I returned to the store he was not helpful at all. The dress had a tear in the mesh which is not repairable and the embellishment was coming undone. I showed him the dress and he started being rude and unprofessional. I left the dress and asked him to fix the issue. When I can snack the following day he hid in the back and had his associates be so unhelpful to the point they said take your dress back we are not doing anything! I then asked to speak to a manager or the owner, they declined and started to ignore me. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. I suggest you don't either. Hands down the worst customer service ever. I purchased a dress from the online store. When I received the dress is had a 3 inch rip under the armpit, several make up stains and no where on the dress did it indicate the size. I have tried to contact customer service via email 3 times and have not received a response, it has been 3 weeks! I also called the store over and over again and not once did anyone answer nor did a voicemail option kick in. And the funny thing is you have to email or call to get return authorization yet you can never reach them! I made the mistake of shopping their online store, after a top I saw at Saks didn't have my size. I googled the designer name - and came across shopdivine.com. After receiving the top and deciding it was too large I went to return it via mail. The site requires that you actually phone it to their customer service to get an "authorization number." What a pain. I called 4x during their business hours, and it went to voicemail all 4x. I emailed them 2x requesting an RA# or return call. No response. On the 5th call, the phone rang approx 25-30x. Finally a man with a heavy foreign accent answers the phone (unprofessionally) "yeah." That's their customer service. I was annoyed, told him that I had been trying to contact them....no apology. No response. Simply "what do you want." Received "authorization" (gee, thanks).....and then noticed they also apply a 10% RESTOCKING FEE, in addition to the shipping that the customer pays for. So, I will pay a $30 restocking fee off of the $300 purchase, plus another $18 total for shipping both ways. NOT WORTH IT. I'd rather find the same designers at Saks, Neimans or Nordstrom. Fortunately I paid with my American Express, so if there are any issues with a credit - I can deny the charges. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. WILL NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN. We walked in to this store and liked this dress. But as we ask them for a fitting room they told us to come back later. When we asked why they said we have a celebrity (namely Paris Hilton) in the store and we can't help you at the moment. There were 3 or 4 empty fitting rooms and 3 employees kissing ass to Paris Hilton. I guess they discriminate between customers. We didn't even care that she was there. On 2/18 around 9pm I ordered a sweater that I've been looking for and could only find it on shopdivine.com. I believe the shipping was around 10$ which is a little ridiculous but not horrible. This store is absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea how they're still in business. I created an account on Yelp because of my hate for this store. I am speaking towards the online store, but it is run out of the physical clothing store and I have interacted with the employees over the phone. My order was returned back to them via Fedex after Fedex completely messed up the delivery of my order. That wasn't their fault, except for the fact that it could have been fixed if they answered their emails, phone calls, returned voice mails. They did none. After OVER A MONTH of calling the "web" phone number and the store number I finally talked to a person, who didn't seem interested at all. She told me that I received a store credit, which I was never informed of and I insisted on getting an actual return credit because this place is a joke and I never want to shop here again. After a week of "missed calls" while she was "asking her boss" I just decided to use the damn credit for something I knew I wouldn't have to return. Fast forward a week later...the order was cancelled for some unexplainable reason and I only found out by checking my account myself. No email. No communication. Their "web" email is full. The "web" employee is never there during business hours. The contact us page on the website does absolutely nothing. I mean how in the hell are they still in business?! DO NOT SHOP HERE. read more
