    New Hedi Slimane-ized, accentless Celine
    Andrew W.

If the interior design at Celine ― all mirrors and marble and monochrome ― makes you wonder if you've stepped into Rodeo Drive's third branch of Saint Laurent (DON'T YOU DARE SAY "YVES"!), it's not a coincidence: Celine has been taken over by Hedi Slimane, who has made it look... pretty much just like Saint Laurent (No Yves), which is to say, pretty much like his old Dior Homme mixed with a healthy dose of whatever's trending on ASOS right now ― but at, like, a 1000% markup. (Hey, that's capitalism. Enjoy it until Generalissimo Taylor Swift finally makes it illegal in two years.) Slimane is so hidebound that he even had to dick with Celine's name, too, banishing the acute accent from the former Céline. One wonders that, if he had replaced Karl Lagerfeld, we'd now be seeing "Chañel Nº5." As for the stuff in Celine, it is what it is. If you're not blessed with a hyperactive metabolism that pretty much burns all your ingested calories just through breathing, blinking, and chewing your food, you better be able to afford three square meals of black tar heroin to fit into Hedi Slimane's clothes. Even his sunglasses are only made to fit the tiny. The line of fragrances are quite nice (not counting the one smells that exactly like an ashtray), but none of them are $220-worth of nice. But I'm giving it a rating as high as I am because of the staff. The young man who helped me was charming, affable, and just very nice to talk to. He took his time with me, and he really provided a fantastic customer experience. Other boutiques on Rodeo Drive could take a lesson. While you may not love the prices or the product at Celine, there's no way you can argue with the service.

In 2017 I purchased a Celine Evening Clutch in Milan and wore it once to a tennis tournament. The leather turned yellow. Took the purse to the nearest Celine the Beverly Hills Celine. The sales associate/manager at the time Bree M. treated me horrible. She instantly accused me of sending the bag out and assumed I had it painted. I felt belittled and sad. Moving forward I requested a new bag of the same style. Years later today, I noticed she sent the same bag out and had it painted instead of ordering me a new bag as she promised. Complete disrespect and dishonesty. The receipt is attached for proof.

Amazing service at this boutique. Please ask for Juanna because she is so helpful and amazing! She loves getting to know her clients and has the best knowledge on the products. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and asked if I needed help. I thought I knew exactly what bag I wanted but after talking to Juanna we tried on a bunch of different styles, sizes and colors and I ended up purchasing a different bag which I am obsessed with!! She also offered beverages and I can't say enough about her service!

Celine BeverlyHills may not be the most convenient or friendly store. I actually prefer Nordstroms (some carry Celine) or other department stores (where I can freely try multiple brands at one place without getting too much attention from the sales rep) when I'm shopping for a luxury bag. Out of all the luxury bags I prefer Celine, especially the belt bag. I don't own dozens of bags. I like to keep minimum amount of quality bags. So I shop for top quality when I'm shopping for a bag. If you're a minimalist like me who prefers few simple classic quality piece I recommend a Celine bag.

2014 YELP 100 CHALLENGE - 98/100 I was so excited to discover there was a Celine store because I'm pretty sure this is one of the FEW locations in the United States, and probably the only one in California! I knew I HAD to stop by here the next time I visited Rodeo Drive! Every time I go to Rodeo Drive, I have a hard time scouting this store. It's pretty small compared to a lot of the stores there, and it's easy to miss because it's wedged between a bunch of the other high end brands. I swear I drove straight past it last time I was in the area. They have a little body guard in the front of the store with a nice suit on, which is to be expected for a Rodeo store. The store is really spacious and honestly has too much space IMO. It's divided into two areas, but really nobody went past the front area because there wasn't much to see back there. I was specifically looking for their handbags because let's be honest, why else would you be at the Celine store?! They had some of the phantom bags on display, and then maybe one or two of the most popular luggage or "robot face" purses. I was actually kinda disappointed in the bags that they had on display because I had wanted to see the luggages in all of the different colors. I'm sure you can order them or maybe they have them in the back room, but it was kinda disappointing. Overall, I'm really glad they have a Celine store in Beverly Hills/LA so that one day when I save enough money, I can finally buy one! They seem so hard to get ahold of (hardly at department stores), so I'm glad that I know I can go to this store and find them!

Don't give me wrong, I love this celine but wish that they have a better return policy.

Sometimes we forget just how good we have it in LA with the plethora of neighborhood boutique shops…read moreright under our noses. Seaver - which is right in the middle of the West Third shopping stretch, just a couple of doors down from Joan's - is a great reminder of that fact. It's one of those quaint shops which makes you sigh a breath of relief knowing options still exist to spy a gift or great find, without making another trip to a cookie cutter mall with the rest of the sheep. Specializing in clothing (designed by the owner, Nathalie), gifts and little treasures, there's something here for just about everyone. We stumbled in after brunch and were amazed by the variety of unique offerings the shop is nearly overflowing with - designer rubber duckies (we left with "decorator duck"), vintage stripper cuff links, stenciled leatherette checkbook and ipod covers in yummy pastel colors for spring, magnets, soaps, custom aprons (that give Anthropologie a run for their money), some beautiful things for baby, and of course, clothes and accessories. Not all of Seaver's clothes fit my taste, but aside from the super fab aprons that actually make you want to cook, her brocade jackets are beautifully sewn and well worth the price of admission. If you're trying to find a special gift for someone hard to buy for, this boutique is not to be missed - not that you could miss the beautifully painted black and white floral exterior. Nathalie is a super helpful sweetheart, there's something for just about every budget, and she'll even gift wrap it for you before you go. LA doesn't get much better than that.

So nice. Helped me with everything I needed! One stop shop for any gifts you might need.read more

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

This is a nice store that carries clothing and accessories that you probably won't find at most…read moreother clothing shops on Melrose Ave. Most of the stores on this street tend to carry the same type of clothing. I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.
