I came here to pick up an item I ordered online. Since the area is busy as it is parking was a little hectic. Since I came for a pick up there is a loading zone right outside the store which made it very convenient for me. As I walked in the store I browsed a little bit, but I didn't feel welcomed at all by the SAs. Since it was my firsts time in a Celine boutique I was excited to check out, but it felt like I was just there. The most acknowledgement I got was from the doorman. I can't say enough great things about this store and location. After finding the experience at a nearby local department store (on Wilshire) to be terrible (ie grouchy and aloof) it occurred to me to visit the Celine flagship store itself on Rodeo. I didn't know what to expect because originally I was "just looking." Purchasing from Celine has long been on my wish list because I love the quality and understated elegance of the brand. Consistently, over the last seven months, the staff has been extremely warm, welcoming and accommodating. Simon in particular has been fantastic; and has helped me with purchases as I build up my Celine collection. I never feel pressured to buy, so it's fun to pop by and add to my wish list. From day one he really "got" my style so he knows what to suggest and is always spot on. Even if I'm just buying a lipstick, I feel as if I'm getting the same warm welcome and attention to detail as if I was buying an entire wardrobe. I think that building a long term relationship with a store and it's staff makes the entire experience that much better. If the interior design at Celine ― all mirrors and marble and monochrome ― makes you wonder if you've stepped into Rodeo Drive's third branch of Saint Laurent (DON'T YOU DARE SAY "YVES"!), it's not a coincidence: Celine has been taken over by Hedi Slimane, who has made it look... pretty much just like Saint Laurent (No Yves), which is to say, pretty much like his old Dior Homme mixed with a healthy dose of whatever's trending on ASOS right now ― but at, like, a 1000% markup. (Hey, that's capitalism. Enjoy it until Generalissimo Taylor Swift finally makes it illegal in two years.) Slimane is so hidebound that he even had to dick with Celine's name, too, banishing the acute accent from the former Céline. One wonders that, if he had replaced Karl Lagerfeld, we'd now be seeing "Chañel Nº5." As for the stuff in Celine, it is what it is. If you're not blessed with a hyperactive metabolism that pretty much burns all your ingested calories just through breathing, blinking, and chewing your food, you better be able to afford three square meals of black tar heroin to fit into Hedi Slimane's clothes. Even his sunglasses are only made to fit the tiny. The line of fragrances are quite nice (not counting the one smells that exactly like an ashtray), but none of them are $220-worth of nice. But I'm giving it a rating as high as I am because of the staff. The young man who helped me was charming, affable, and just very nice to talk to. He took his time with me, and he really provided a fantastic customer experience. Other boutiques on Rodeo Drive could take a lesson. I would be driving about an hour to the store to purchase it, but if the size they had in stock (46) wouldn't work for me, it would be a complete waste of my drive. I actually prefer Nordstroms (some carry Celine) or other department stores (where I can freely try multiple brands at one place without getting too much attention from the sales rep) when I'm shopping for a luxury bag. Out of all the luxury bags I prefer Celine, especially the belt bag. I don't own dozens of bags. I like to keep minimum amount of quality bags. So I shop for top quality when I'm shopping for a bag. 2014 YELP 100 CHALLENGE - 98/100 I was so excited to discover there was a Celine store because I'm pretty sure this is one of the FEW locations in the United States, and probably the only one in California! I knew I HAD to stop by here the next time I visited Rodeo Drive! Every time I go to Rodeo Drive, I have a hard time scouting this store. It's pretty small compared to a lot of the stores there, and it's easy to miss because it's wedged between a bunch of the other high end brands. I swear I drove straight past it last time I was in the area. They have a little body guard in the front of the store with a nice suit on, which is to be expected for a Rodeo store. The store is really spacious and honestly has too much space IMO. It's divided into two areas, but really nobody went past the front area because there wasn't much to see back there. I was specifically looking for their handbags because let's be honest, why else would you be at the Celine store?! They had some of the phantom bags on display, and then maybe one or two of the most popular luggage or "robot face" purses. I was actually kinda disappointed in the bags that they had on display because I had wanted to see the luggages in all of the different colors. I'm sure you can order them or maybe they have them in the back room, but it was kinda disappointing. Overall, I'm really glad they have a Celine store in Beverly Hills/LA so that one day when I save enough money, I can finally buy one! They seem so hard to get ahold of (hardly at department stores), so I'm glad that I know I can go to this store and find them! read more

Best store on Rodeo. I came in looking for one specific pair of shoes, and my sales associate Michael searched high and low, though unfortunately they were sold out. He brought out multiple other sizes, similar models, and was eager to chat about recent collections. Other employees seemed to do the same, waiting hand and foot on anyone who walked in, regardless of the size of their bank account, and all seemed to know and wear the clothes in their day to day lives. Can't say the same for any other store I visited. We exchanged contact info for when my item pops back up and I still walked out with a new wallet (despite the personable behavior, they're still salespeople after all!). Ok, I love celine, especially their nano one is so cute. I walked in and the sales are still talking but very soon one of the sale started asking me if I need help. That started with me looking at their nano bag with mult-color. One of them is canvas and one is leather so just because i didn't want the canvas I picked the leather. I had somewhat of a strange experience here. Nothing bad, just different. I went here to return a bag I purchased online. They told me that there was no one there that day that could do the return for me, but that they can hang on to the bag until the next day when the person returns. At first, I thought to myself, "Nothing like this has ever happened before. But it'll be fine, no big deal." So I went ahead and left the bag with the associate. As I walked back to my car, I realized I just left a $1k bag with absolutely no evidence, written note, or any kind of "receipt" except for a business card of the associate who helped me. Bitch, I ain't rich! What if this was some scheme to get bags and resell to The Real Real? Is this what extremely wealthy people do, just leave expensive merchandise with strangers and trust that they'll do what they promised? So I went back in and just told them I changed my mind and want to exchange the bag instead lol. They were very understanding and helpful. So again, nothing terrible happened! Terrible, and I mean terrible, customer service from this so called luxury brand. Orders go unfulfilled with zero communication from them. Promises are made that the order "will be sent out tomorrow for certain with overnight shipping" and then three days later/ not only is the product not arrived, another call confirms that it has still not been sent out. No offer for any compensation for the lack of service. My time is expensive and I should think it would be appropriate to offer some compensation when I have had to make five phone calls over two weeks to try to get some answers -not to mention my order. From a luxury brand such as they portray themselves to be, I expect more than empty promises and unfulfilled expectations. With such low level customer service on the front end of a transaction, it certainly leaves more than a little concern about how any issues would be handled after the product is in my hands. Bad enough experience that I can safely say not only will this item never be purchased by me, but I will never consider anything from this brand again. One has only to look at Glassdoor reviews from employees to see how poorly this company is managed. Sadly it is reflected in the way they handle customer service as well. read more

I had a pair just break when I put them on and they wouldn't repair or replace as it's been past their warranty. Their warranty is poor because they know they charge $400 for horrible quality. However, I am shocked when I want to use my "repaired new Trapeze" today, I find out they did NOTHING!!!!! They waste me 2 months and they didn't do anything!!!!! I spent over $4700 on this purse, and I only used them 5 times! The water snake fell off the handle and the shape of the Trapeze totally changed! What happen to you Celine? Celine bags are really just an adventure to acquire and it makes the item that much more valuable and worth it. Let me tell you my bag story. I REALLY wanted a Celine Luggage tote in smooth black leather, in the Micro size. To me, it seems the perfect, outstanding quality, stylish, young, modern bag that doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME! I'M A LOUIS VUITTON MONOGRAM AS EVIDENCED BY MY EXTERIOR!!!!". (Though Celine's mother company is LV) I don't want a bag that screams in the face of people that it is a designer bag on every inch of its exterior. This is quiet sophistication and an insider's bag. Back to the bag, considering the specificity of my wants, it was a pretty tall order. Regarding the Luggage tote, there are 4 sizes, ranging from the nano, micro, mini and phantom. The Micro is supposedly the rarest. It seems unless you're lucky enough to live by this particular store, or generally a Celine store, you wait YEARS to get the bag you want. Lucky me, I live close to Rodeo drive. I did a lot of research over many weekends looking for this particular bag, weighing the pros and cons and justifying then stultifying my potential purchase. I called every single department store you could that would at any point carry Celine; Saks Fifth, Neiman Marcus, Barneys, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, and Nordstrom (only 6 stores in the nation carry Celine, and the only one in California is Topanga, which had a 20 person waitlist with credit card). I'm a bit thrown off by the availability of Celine bags since it was ridiculously easy to acquire at the physical store, and yet so difficult anywhere else. I don't get people who wait "years" to get anything because if you want it so badly, why stop until you get it? Why get on a waiting list and hope it happens? I also think the 20 person waiting list is pretty ridiculous. The only reason I could think of why people would wait for "years" is to get the rewards or points?! Meh. Their hours are quite a bit limited, only open from 10-6pm on Mondays through Saturdays. On Sunday, I couldn't even get them on the phone, and I tried to contact via email through their website but that was out of order so I couldn't! However, through the number listed on Yelp, I called during business hours and like a little miracle, they had the Luggage in Micro in pebbled black AND smooth black. I talked to Robert who was very helpful. He said just come on in when I can and to try both on. The pebbled leather only comes with silver hardware and the smooth leather only comes in gold. Most of my jewelry is silver but the smooth leather/gold hardware combination is irresistible to me, and I went with that. My husband and I enjoyed some sparkling water while Robert wrapped up my purchase and I gave my information in case there is damage and for general proof that I had purchased a real Celine at the BH store. I am a bit disappointed it doesn't come in a box, only in a dust bag then the paper bag but oh well, I do overtly enjoy that the outside is all calfskin and the inside is all lambskin. TWO dead baby animals on my arm at once! I also have to comment when I came home and opened up everything, tried the zippers, etc you can only conclude, it is just a BEAUTIFUL bag. Exquisite is the only word to do it justice, every single stitch is even and in perfect place, the leather is smooth and polished, the hardware stiff but sturdy, and the bag structured so it stands up on its own, in its perfect glory. I LOVE this bag and plan on enjoying it for many many many years. There is parking on the streets, and some garage but it's $2.75 every 15 minutes I believe. I usually don't splurge unless I need to(and trust me girls, when you walk into Celine, you should have a person in your head saying "Must buy" to every item your eyes glance at). In all honesty, the service was not terrible, but it should be worked on more; but I was just too excited to care about those losers ruining my day, I was just focused on my new Phantom bag! After leaving Rodeo Drive a couple (few?) years ago, the Celine store recently reopened quietly a couple of weekends ago. I love that - no splashy grand opening, just simple announcements mailed out to customers in the area. The quiet minimalism is consistent with the style of Celine's RTW, bags, and other accessories under designer Phoebe Philo's leadership. The clothes and shoes are beautifully streamlined, but with gorgeous (and sometimes quirky) details. The shoes are funky and a few styles are not mainstream/practical at all (furry heels anyone?), but I love the quirkiness of everything. Bags are probably their biggest and fastest sellers - particularly the Luggage and Trapeze styles. While I was there, most customers who walked in inquired or were trying on bags. Everything comes at a premium, expected given its location and high-end brand status. A couple of the sales people were super friendly and helpful. read more

Anyways, back to CELINE: the products, while not all being my personal taste, are well-made and looked/felt expensive. The tailoring and fit of the jackets are exquisite and the shoes are dreamy. While I always felt Hedi Slimane's clothes at SLP were predominantly trendy, his CELINE seems more focused on timelessness, even if that comes at the cost of being "less relatable" for my Gen Z crowd.
