I entered the store on Melrose Place looking for a specific bag which you did not have. Austin took some time and showed us alternatives, which I really did not want or need. We are in town only for a few short days. Rather than help us find the actual bag we wanted, Austin aggressively pushed another bag. He knew we were in a short timeline and had a car waiting for us to go to our next engagement. He also knew we were first time with Chloe and typically shop at Louis Vuitton. Austin did not look online, check inventories or assist us other than to push two bags we did not need or want. My distinct understanding was the bags were returnable within 20 days. As Austin suggested we look at third party retailers for the bag I wanted -- I did just that. And I found it. I called Austin this morning to inform him that I found the bag I wanted & needed to return the other I purchased. At first, Austin said: "No problem." I appreciated this and immediately began thinking of clothes and shoes I wanted to purchase. Moments later, he wrote and called to let me know there was apparently imperceptible writing at the bottom of a paper receipt we never received that wearing the bag prevented returns. Literally, I put the bag on twice -- I wore it longer inside the store. It was never what I wanted. I have no purpose for it & I will never purchase another Chloe item again. We have been loyal LV customers for years and we will return to that brand which has always been accommodating, reasonable and added personal touches. read more

I purchased a bag from this brand a year and a half ago. For the price--over $2,000--I expected both quality and customer care. Unfortunately, neither held up. The zipper changed color from gold to silver, and eventually the zipper tag came off entirely because the zip itself became loose. When I reached out to have it repaired, I was told they couldn't fix the zipper--which I accepted. But when they said they couldn't even replace the zipper tag? That, I can't accept. Even the most affordable brands offer better service and repair options than this. I used to admire this brand, but after this experience, I won't be purchasing from them again. They may sell their products at a luxury price point, but the treatment I received proves otherwise. I came into this location in search of black pants/slacks, last weekend. An associate by the name of Angela helped me, and she is amazing. She gave me a tour of the store and it's Chloe history, and they offered me chilled water. I ended up purchasing what I was looking for, and they needed to be hemmed, so they are taking care of alterations, and will be shipped to my address when completed. The customer service was excellent, and they carried a huge selection of everything Chloe. When I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely stop by again. The quality of merchandise is on par. Yes, they're pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for, and Chloe items are investment pieces that you will have for years. Timeless and classic. They even have cuffs and bangle bracelets that fit small wrists. With that being said, this shop is worth a trip, and go to Angela, you'll be treated like a VIP. read more

Rude sales associate. I walked in and there was a tall blonde female associate sitting down. Rather than greet me properly the first thing she did was to look outside to see if the security guard was there. I was friendly and smiled. I even tried to make friendly small talk. She was still rude and just followed me around staring at me. She was not knowledgeable about the clothing either. I asked for the specifics of the material composition of an item I was interested in and she just kept saying it was crepe. She couldn't tell me if it was cotton, silk, rayon, a blend, what type of crepe?? I was made to feel very uncomfortable. Proper customer service training is needed. The clothing is cheap polyester at high prices. I'm not sure what the appeal is here. The "crepe" was a polyester blend by the way. read more

Love. Chloe Love. It's their new perfume and I Love Love Love it! The boutique is clean and perfect...sort of what you'd imagine apple were to make a clothing store. White. Immaculate. Items arranged in an order that pulls you in. Their handbags are of the utmost quality (everyone knows the Paddington bag) but very high up in price. I did get a new model bag, the "Elsie" which is less than 3/4 the price of a paddington bag. Elsie opens with a "safe-like" mechanism (Chloe is famous for padlocks on their bags, this is the next step). I love the small version. I got it in a rosy dark pink color. The small bag is a great size and fits over your shoulder or can be held in your hand. The size is perfect to fit the necessities. Warning: the mobile clover-shaped part of the mechanism tends to scratch the stationary metal setting but you can only see this when the bag is open. The staff is very attentive. Whether you come in once a year or once a week, you are greeted with the same professionalism and courtesy. With summer almost behind us (fashion-wise) the new collection has a nice array of berry-colored, khakis and classic black, all with the elegant comfort of their flowy fabric. Their flats are also worth mentioning. Chloe flats are like slippers but they're cute! Well placed leather handbags, satchels, and shoes are positioned around the small well-lit rooms. The boutique stores are located in a quiet courtyard on Melrose Place. The rooms are grouped together with clean, white interiors and tracking lighting; the sales people are friendly. Saw only a couple of people browsing, the stores seem to be pretty well staffed. Chloe Melrose Place finally opened in March of this year, after many delays. Meter street parking easy to find on a week day. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Walked in looking for a Marcie bag in a certain color that I couldn't find for months at dept stores..my luck they had one in the same exact color but it didn't have the cross body strap that i preferred, so Terra the sales associate was nice enough to tell me she could call corporate the next day and see if they can ship one from Paris. She was so sweet and even held the one they had there for me for a few days until she heard back from corporate since I was willing to take what she had there if the other wasn't available. She went out of her way to try and get me my first choice instead of trying to make a quick sale and convincing me to take what she had in stock. 6 days later my bag comes in and it was exactly what I wanted. $1795 for a bag is not cheap but I love it! I've always been a Chloé fan and when they announced the opening on Melrose Pl I counted the days. When I first got there I fell in love with the fairytale setting, it's like a little cottage (but a hip LA-cottage) with cute white fences and the prettiest balcony on the second floor! When I walked in I was greeted by a girl named Olinda who was very sweet and helped me find some great pieces to try on. She was very attentive without being to pushy (can't stand that!) and gave her honest opinion on the stuff I tried instead of trying to sell me everything which made me feel that she really cared :) The store is actually divided into two sections, one for clothes and one for shoes and bags and both buidlings are very light and airy and you can just smell the "Chloé" fragrance in the air which is a nice touch :) It's places like this that makes me want to shop high end! read more
