I've come across and purchased some amazing consigned men's items at this store -- Chrome Hearts hoodie, sweats, and sunglasses; Balenciaga trench coat; Rimowa luggage; Bottega Veneta & Loewe tote bags. The staff here is so welcoming and sincere, and are not afraid to strike up a warm conversation. The store is run very efficiently for consignors as well -- I've consigned many men's designer that have sold quickly here. I'd say it's easier to find nice designer womenswear. Used to love this place but now it's more of a buyer beware situation, based on a recent experience. I purchased two candle holders and later got a voicemail saying I owed an additional 33 cents because they'd undercharged me. Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response. read more

Last summer, I went to Trove and bought the cutest red leather jacket. I also found Gucci sandals. The problem was there was only sandal. They took my phone number and said they would call when they found the match. I gave them my number and about a week later, they called and had found the match. I returned and bought it. Yesterday, we went there and bought a few things. Super cute stuff and fun to shop. My daughter found new Stan Smith Adidas. They couldn't sell them because they lost the key to unlock the block thing that the alarm goes off if cut. Again, I gave my number and today, they called and found the key. Trove is a wonderful resale and consignment store. They have a huge selection of gently used items. You can get designer or name brand clothing, all sorts of accessories, purses, shoes, things for your home and they even have a baby section. Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. If you are looking for a nice bag, they have it or some nice clothes. I have bought a few things there and I have never been disappointed. read more

I love the name - to me it sounded like a clever play on a treasure trove and the French trouver ("to find"). This is a consignment store, so prices are higher than you might expect if you're used to church or traditional secondhand shops. See the photos of the merchandise and pricing to give a realistic idea of what's available. One thing I noticed was the plus-size selection, + there are changing rooms, which is always a plus when thrifting. There is a dedicated parking lot, but when I visited the store was very busy and the lot was full. I ended up parking on the street behind the store - just be aware of street cleaning on Thursdays and Fridays. Otherwise, parking there is fine. While the staff was young, dressed young and genuinely nice, the merchandise itself felt a bit dated -- not in a cool vintage way, more in a "recent past" (like Macy's brands), frumpy-fashion kind of way. That said, I did find a couple of fun pieces under $20, and it seemed like other shoppers were finding things as well. I love a good thrift store consignment store! Trove LA has it all! I am going to tell my celebrity stylist friend all about this treasure chest! Trove LA has it all! From hard to vintage pieces to the latest styles and designer luxury pieces. I'm a shopper... so I know prices. A few items were priced a little over, but for the most part and for the quality of the items that they are hanging, it's worth it. There's a lot of really cute houseware items towards the back of the store. You can really find unique items there...if you are a set designer, this is a really cool place to find some interesting and unique pieces. I know I'm gonna be in trouble at this spot. They offer good consignment rates. The store is very clean. The employees were very friendly. Very attentive in the dressing room. Which I did like that. Who doesn't like to feel a little spoiled? All in all there's a little bit of everything in this store from different hats to perfumes and sunnies! They even offer a little discount when you check in and leave a review so make sure you check in and leave a review... From the moment I walked into this showroom, I was completely in awe. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and the level of service was top tier from start to finish. The selection? They have a big selection, ranging from good marked down prices to expensive. Nice jewelry selection, too and small women's clothes and handbag sections towards the back. Storefront and display tables by the entrance are eye catching. Salespeople don't acknowledge you and only interact when you approach them. This is a good consignment shop but could be great IF they priced things a little more affordably to move things quicker to make room to actually shop the racks. I couldn't separate or pull out any clothing in my size because it was so tightly packed in, there was zero wiggle room. I got exhausted trying to pull things of interest out and fight them back in on the rack, I gave up. Note to the owner: if the buyer can't see it, they're not going to buy! I'm sure they're losing a lot of business because of this. Also, several things were priced at the sales price you could get the item for new in the store. As a consignment/thrift shopper, I want a deal. There were few deals to be had. Positives: everything looked to be quality and free from flaws. They do an excellent job on that. The place also smelled good, which is hit and miss with second hand stores. I didn't get any icks here. Make more room to move clothing on your racks and adjust the prices down a little and this would be a 5 star joint read more
