Because of that, it was hard to justify actually buying anything. That said, it's still a fun spot to wander through if you enjoy browsing eclectic knickknacks and vintage-style decor. It's good for a quick peruse, but personally I wouldn't plan on spending much money here.

Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response.

I want to like this store. I really, really do. But I have never ever - and I mean EVER - seen such overpriced junk in all my life. PSA: Just because it's old does not mean it's an antique. It just means it's OLD. The fact that this place is in business baffles me. Every time I gather up the courage to stop by on my afternoon run and check it out in hopes that they'll prove me wrong, I'm reminded of just how ridiculous this place is and always walk away thinking something along the lines of "Who would pay $900 for a used couch with HOLES in it?!?! WHO?" I saw a small little wagon today that would've been overpriced at $50. They had the audacity to put a $100 price tag on it... A small, old decorative wagon with an LA Times sticker on it (to make it look authentic, I suppose?). Honestly, I would've given $20 - max, but could understand someone thinking "Oh! A cool "antique" wagon. That's worth $50." But a hundred? No. No. A million times over, NO. The majority of this stuff looks like something my parents owned in the 80s. Please understand that my parents were middle working class folks raising 3 kids, so believe me when I tell you they didn't own anything cool or nice enough at the time to warrant being called an antique and sold for 10 times the original price. Just say no, guys. I promise you can find the same quality merch at Goodwill for 1/10th the price. read more

THIS PLACE HAS TO BE THE DEPARTMENT STORE OF THRIFT SHOPS!! They have something for everyone here!! BTW I am very partial to this place because all proceeds directly benefit people in recovery at Beit T'Shuvah (www.beittshuvah.org). I have lost loved ones to drug addiction--so the organization's mission is very important to me!! This store is a legit, money-making extension of Beit T'Shuvah--so you don't pay sales tax on your purchases and you help save lives in the process!! I have read some weird and negative reviews from fellow Yelpers scared off by some of the listed sticker prices--HOWEVER I can assure you that nice customers rarely walk away upset with their purchases!! All reasonable offers are considered.. and friendly, happy customers generally get their way here. So loosen up & happy shopping!! read more

BTS Thrift Store is hands-down one of the best thrift finds in LA. Tucked away on La Cienega, this spot has the perfect mix of vintage charm and unexpected treasures. From designer pieces to quirky collectibles, every rack and shelf feels like a little curated gallery of fashion and nostalgia. OMG...I just found the best Thrift Store ever!!! It's almost a crime to call this store a Thrift Store. My mother lost her Waterford collection in the Northridge earthquake. Ever since then she's been looking for the Waterford Kennedy Bowl...you know the one that they made in honor of President Kennedy...well I found it at Beit T Shuvah!!! I got the Bowl at a GREAT price!!! They have A LOT of high end things in this store. Forget stores like Tuesday Morning and TJ MAXX and MORE...I'm going to visit Beit T Shuvah on the regular!!! I love shopping here! They always have a great selection of interesting items and their prices are terrific. However, what makes this such a great place to shop is one of the employees, Andrea. Andi is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and overall delightful. Rarely have I found a salesperson as eager to help as is Andi. Forget about the prices and just go prospecting...I have gotten great finds on art glass... on paintings and prints...and on books. I'm a collector and always find something.......today I found some Edo period Imari bowls....take a magnifying glass. Great shop! Would give 5 stars if they had a changing room... Bought some suits when I was in town that ended up not fitting. They let me return them for store credit. Super nice, but I live on the other side of the country, so it doesn't look like I'll get a chance to use it anytime soon. Would anyone like $100 of store credit for $75?
