The young lady who checked me out, color-coded my earrings into the cute little baggies.
Shanda G.

I had a lovely time here yesterday. I really enjoy their jewelry section and wanted some earrings that interlock instead of using a rubber backing. My hair tends to pull those out so my boyfriend joined me to get some...As soon as I entered, one of the young ladies welcomed me in and I said thank you very much. I went to the back to look at the earrings and had a question about them. I got the attention of a young lady who was folding clothes in the back, and she gladly helped me look for a certain pair that I was interested in. They didn't have it, but she apologized and said to come back and check in again. When I was ready to check out a nice lady noticed that I was standing at the counter and came over to help me check out. We talked and had a sweet conversation while she was packaging up my jewelry. She even took the time to color code them when she put them into the baggies. Overall, I feel like if you want respect from people, you have to give respect first. These ladies that run the store are very respectful and kind if you don't walk in and give them an attitude. Not that this makes a difference, but I am black and these women showed me the upmost respect and kindness when I went shopping there yesterday. I like to show people kindness from the get-go and they definitely delivered a lovely shopping experience for me. I will definitely come back for more earrings and necklaces!

very cute little brandy as a cult member of the brand i wanted to go to the original and it did not disappoint. honestly the kindess workers i've seen at brandy and the price was not bad at all.

Store front

The clothes were very high quality and cute! I got a lot of pieces of clothing but it was overall not that expensive. The employees were also not very rude and actually kinda nice unlike what I was expecting reading reviews!

Horrible! I ordered my daughter an oversized sweatshirt for Christmas and after only a few times of use and not even two months later, the zipper separated from the sweatshirt in multiple places. I emailed the company and they told me there is nothing they can do as it has been over 30 days. My reply was "so basically you don't stand by the quality of your clothing?" And commented on the lack of customer service. I've gotten no reply. Will never order their stuff again.

Not for me. Way too casual all sweats and T-shirts that are way overpriced and they also say Los Angeles on them.

Hire a nicer staff. No hello, no can I help you. More people work there than you have shopping. Pretty rude and useless.

The staff here is so welcoming and sincere, and are not afraid to strike up a warm conversation. The store is run very efficiently for consignors as well -- I've consigned many men's designer that have sold quickly here. I'd say it's easier to find nice designer womenswear. Men's designer is harder to find, but at times you'l get lucky with designer menswear.

I purchased two candle holders and later got a voicemail saying I owed an additional 33 cents because they'd undercharged me. Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response.

Milk is genius in picking apart all the ugliest and most unflattering silhouettes from the runway--voluminous balloon dresses, remember? And the "hottest" (trendiest) labels--I believe they call this "minimalist chic" which in fact is a piece of fabric sewn to a smaller piece of fabric, worn over your head with a $350 price tag. I can see how rich folks can buy their overpriced, ugly "designer" clothing here, this is where all of it can be found. The salespeople don't care about you either, well, unless you were some sort of Mischa Barton or out-of-work celebrity who graced the covers of tabloid magazines for a couple months. I bought 2 notepads here. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the designers they carry at Milk, but the merchandise is just flat and unexciting. If I'm going to pay $300 for a tee, it had better not look like I got it at Wal-Mart.

I decided not to mention anything about how weird it was to switch it up like that because: 1) I did not have the energy to open myself to the potential of a negative response 2) it's a locally owned business so me paying a little more is all right I suppose 3) yeah damn this economy so I get it.....I guess 4) Westwood rent is high and 5) I can still afford the item without the additional 15% off But in the car I was like damn I don't feel fully satisfied with my shopping experience it was kinda weird how they switched it up Anyways 9.5/10 would recommend to others -- they have a good selection considering how the store is not very big, it's well curated with on trend styles, racing jackets, gorpcore fleece stuff etc. etc but also I won't go back to do any of my random shopping sprees during my lunch hour because I hate being lied to.

This area was nice with the high rise century city backdrop. Although it was more crowded than I expected, meeting friends for lunch was great. The restaurant choices are wonderful. We planned to eat at one spot, but due to the wait we changed it up and it was a total hit. Parking was crazy! Lines to go up and down, it took forever to pull in a spot. There are many alternatives available in Los Angeles, where people do not leave irritated by the fees related to parking.
