For a company that professes to be a premium quality label , they have cheap quality "cashmere" . I ordered a few and found out the hard way , sale items not returnable , even if the product does not match what's described. I would never buy anything online from this company again. Let me start by saying I love James Perse clothing. Let me continue by saying I have spent literally thousands of dollars on James Perse Tee Shirts that tend to get little holes in the fabric after only a few months. Tiny holes appear near the bottom front of the shirts and I end up throwing them away. At over $100 for a tee shirt, the great fit of these tee shirts are simply not worth the money. Since the tees are my favorite purchase, I have since enrolled in a James Perse addiction program to stop spending hard earned money on cool products that ultimately fail. I need to stop. For this money, I could have rented the JP East Cape Villa in Baja two times over. Damn. read more

The saleswoman with dark hair today was very helpful--sorry, I forgot her name. I made an exchange from my purchase in Las Vegas. This store doesn't have the selection that the LV Wynn store has. Literally every item I bought had the color washed out after one wash. I buy expensive brands Brunello Cucunellli, Loro Piana, etc. and this has never happened to any of those items. Hell, I have bought J. Crew and banana republic in the past and that lasted 10 years. JP specializes in high-end comfy-wear, which still boggles the mind how much one can charge for a sweater you'd probably only wear around the house. Nevertheless, love the quality of the clothes as well as the aesthetic appeal of the store. Their selection includes tank tops, tees, hoodies, fleece tops, dresses, scarfs, and pants. If not for this as a gift, I'd probably skip on purchasing such expensive duds. But glad I could add these to my collection! read more

I have about 100+items from James Perse , they have recently started falling apart at seams , some of my clothes have holes , so I brought them into the store to show them not one but 10+ items of clothing were falling apart .. the girl sales associate basically said that's too bad .. and live with it and there me out of the store .. she was rude and had terrible breath I believe her name was Caroline .. not sure , but she was rude ..the store was empty filled with only sales people no consumers .. I know why !! I love the feel and style of James Perse but never again .. I've spent thousand on this brand , the poor service and demeaning tone that was used towards me ( a good customer ) was appalling . I would give no stars if I could. I make it a point to speak in a really nasally condescending voice just so that anyone speaking to me knows I'm better than them. Interviewer: Great. And what is your take on customer service? Future James Perse Employee: Frankly, I don't give a shit about helping people. I primarily am looking for a job that makes me seem cultured and high status so that, again, I can confirm that I'm better than everyone else. So I'm a personal assistant and I come here QUITE A LOT for my boss. Josh is amazing and helps me every time with a smile and some classic wit. I'm needy and annoying but he deals with it. They always remember my name and welcome me. Also this store is beautifully decorated and the clothes are reliable and last a long time. To Whom It May Be of Interest or Value Whenever my wife and I are in Beverly Hills, we "always"make the effort to visit the James Perse store on Canon Drive. Recently, Thanksgiving weekend, we shopped at James Perse and purchased several shirts for myself. and garments for my wife. In January, I noticed a slight issue with one of the 4 shirts I purchased. My wife, Simi, contacted the store Manager, Joshua Ballard, and told him the issue. Mr. Ballard, without question, was more than willing to replace it. Not only that, but he fedex'd the replacement to us. Mr. Ballard exemplified what every store should strive for in their employees: helpful, courteous, sincere, and professional. In this day and age, it is unusual, but extremely refreshing to know people like Mr. Ballard still exist. Hmmm, I named this review "James Perse"...then days later it magically switched to JP Boutiques. Not sure why, but know that this is a James Perse store. This Beverly Hills location just opened today. It is right across the street from Fritellis Donuts. The building is beautiful. No expense was spared. There is a beautiful reflection pool with flowers floating in it and surrounded by sand. Breathtaking. The inventory itself is very limited.....there is a small bedding selection, new to J.P., a pretty good size kids section. A very small selection of sweaters and t's for both men and women. In the waaaay back of the store there is a DARK room which contains the new undergarment dept.. The pieces are pretty but a bit more $$$ than I expected from J.P. My fave sales guy from Melrose, Jeremy, has moved to this shop. Bummer, because I really feel like if I really need a J.P. fix, I would go elsewhere due to the tiny selection. I used to love this this brand and store. Between my wife and I, we have easily spent over $7k a year shopping at their stores over for the past 5 years. I considered my self a loyalist to their brand but I have to give them a low ranking after realizing their lack in quality and customer service. Their t-shirts (which I have purchased over 100 pieces) would very often haven holes in them. I would take extra care of how we washed and dried them. So it's obvious I was disappointed by the lack of quality. I would never take them back in to the store for return/exchange because I would be too busy or lazy. But most recently I got fed up with the lack of quality and I decided to take in one of my newer shirts with a hole in it. I explained the issue and requested an exchange with the store manager but refused to help me despite my clear and long standing purchase history. They know they have problems with their shirts. To turn away a customer that's spent so much money with them and to refuse to exchange a shirt (not even return) that has a hole because it didn't meet their 30 day window is not what I expected from this brand. I don't often buy things from stores in BH but when I went to the James Perse store in the Brentwood Country Mart, I found out that JP was having a 50% off sale. Now JP is quality so when their tee's and dresses are half price, they are worth it because now they are pretty much at a GAP/J Crew price point. This store is so incredibly beautiful. There is a gorgeous bathroom which made me actually say WOW out loud. The staff was really friendly and helpful, not snotty at all. They even offered me a JP water, since it was a pretty hot day. The transaction part was the only kink. They took my credit card and my ID into this room and partially closed the door without me being in the room. I thought this was a little odd, but I hope it is just to ensure privacy. Already Bored .......there favorite color is apparently beige. I would not even bother with a review if it weren't for the horrible customer service . From multiple stores , Malibu and Beverly Hills .On 3 different occasions I left because of retail workers . My partner and a friend have also had similar experiences and have resorted to purchasing online . Just kinda sad when your paying for fancy sweatpants and people aren't even nice . I visited the James Perse in BH on the 27th of August. I have nothing but positive feelings and comments to say about the staff and store. The store itself is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Max helped me on the phone the day before my arrival, as well as in the store when I came in. They had only one of my size left of the item I was looking for. He held the item for me until I arrived to pick it up. Upon my arrival he was in the middle of helping another client. When he finished he came and found me in the store to begin our transaction. The day I arrived was very hot and he offered me water several times to make sure I was comfortable. I'm a large guy I was not made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome at all, as a previous reviewer mentioned. I wear a 4/XL in JP and in the fashion world that's borderline rotund. I felt as welcomed and as comfortable in the store as JP size 0s and 2s. Also just gonna throw this out there Max is pretty damn cute too. read more
