Dear John, let's get it on! (the clothes)
    Kai L.

John Varvatos is a label dancing on the cusp of eras in your life, as you undergo the somewhat shaky transformation between no-socks-wearing, jobless (no, poetry on your Ipad is not a job) hipster to the necktie-donning young, professional, newly-minted college graduate (after being a senior for five years) who still likes to wear a necktie on casual Friday, if only to be ironic. In other words, John Varvatos (hereafter JV) is casual, to casual-dressy. A blind date when it's still daylight, a cream-colored or heather gray suit that mingles with your Sperry Topsiders and only makes you look a little greasy in your convertible BMW as you eat on the patio at The Ivy or Urasawa. You're hot when you floss the Varvatos look, and you won't have to break the bank (as much) when you do it. Whether a young twenty or thirty-something labelista, or a middle-ager rediscovering shape-cut suits that constitute the new paradigm of "with it", JV can fill your closet with everything you need, save gym clothes to sweat in, and a sherpa jacket to climb Mount Everest. T-shirty? Check. Suits? Strong. Women's Things? Everything but diamond rings. Pants? On the ground, on the shelf, you can grab them all by yo'self. Shirts? Yes, and you'll be helped by associates who aren't flirts (unless you're into that sort of thing). Socks? Rocks. Underwear? Under THERE -- next to the ties. JV's got it all. Don't go to the mall. Hit the far west-end of Melrose Avenue, my obscenely-sexy ingenue. Parking's on a private lot! -- and if you've got about a grand to expand your wardrobe (or even just $50 to pick up something on a whim), you'll emerge from the cute little building with a trunk full of junk to show the world that "fierce" can be a V-neck cashmere sweater, paired with tan slacks and a neat part in your hair. Just like kindergarten on picture day. Except twenty years later, taller, and a lot more expensive. Service is friendly. They need to be, because they're nice to me. (and I am SUCH a b**ch)

I came in about 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night it was very easy to pick stuff out and get help from Paul who was courteous and fast and not pushy.

Undefeated has been a staple in LA for sneaker heads for a while now. I've always liked Undefeated,…read moreand I remember the high school days when my brother would get me out of class and take me to places like Undefeated to shop for clothes and sneakers. They have brands like Adidas, Nike, Converse, Jordan, Vans, Bape, etc. They also carry a lot of limited release shoes and clothing that are popular too. A lot of people complain about not being able to get what they want, but that's the reality of the streetwear game now, and Undefeated tries their best to give their customers a fair chance at getting what they want. I was lucky enough to win a couple raffles by them, and I've had the best chances at getting the things I want from them. On top of that, Undefeated is always doing something cool. For example, for Air Max Day last year they held an event for the winners of the Nike AM 1/97 SW raffle at their old location across the street. They had free Air Max Day shirts, games, free popcorn, and refreshments in the back where you can talk and get to know your fellow sneaker heads. I always appreciate when places go above and beyond to give their customers a valuable experience. Overall, I'd recommend shopping at Undefeated if you're into streetwear and sneakers!

They told me the store in Silver Lake had 3 of them in my size. I drove there only to be told they had been out of stock for a while and they had no hats in any size. They called the Glendale store and apparently they have one in my size. The sales person told me that I would have to come back tomorrow because they close the register at 6:45 even though the store advertised it's open until 7. He told me this was to make sure they don't have to stay one minute longer than they have to! I couldn't believe that I was being told I couldn't make a purchase during normal business hours! Apparently they make so much money that they don't need my business.
