I am not sure if the employees are commission based or not. If they are commission based what's with the attitude and looking down on customers? I walked in the store knowing I wanted to buy a sweater. I walked up to a male employee he ignored me so I asked another employee for a size. She called over another employee. She was an older employee and was very nice, friendly and patient. She even made a suggestion regarding the size which I appreciate it. Her suggestion helped m pick the right size. I visited during Christmas/ New Years time; therefore, they were offering hot chocolate and cookies. Hot chocolate was a nice gesture and perfect touch for the cold weather. For value, I would say bags and clothing items are expensive, but worth it. Since quality is better and worth the price. I gave four stars only for the outstanding customer service by the lady who helped me. Otherwise my rating would be one star. read more

RALPH LAUREN - RODEO DRIVE Walking into this store felt like stepping straight into that horrifying Pretty Woman scene. The energy was immediately cold and unwelcoming, like we were being sized up the second we walked through the door. Nil, the CSR, was dismissive & refused to serve us. Instead of a luxury shopping experience, it felt uncomfortable and honestly a bit demeaning. No greeting, no effort to assist--just an unmistakable vibe that we didn't "belong." For a brand that prides itself on timeless elegance and hospitality, this location completely missed the mark. Rodeo Drive has no shortage of high-end stores that actually know how to treat people with basic respect. I'd recommend spending your time (and money) elsewhere. read more

Although this was a few years ago, my experience was satisfactory. I had purchased a blazer and it needed some adjustments. I was very intentional with my visit knowing what I needed and I was met with good service to leave satisfied. I had a sales associate/stylist who helped me to the tailor who made measurements, marked and adjusted the blazer. I picked it up a few days later and it was packaged quite nicely by the customer service associates. I am asian and didn't feel profiled. I had a very disappointing experience at this store during my interaction with one of the sales people in particular, she was an older woman and said her name was Amy. I was looking at clothing and asked Amy one simple question. Her response was, "I don't know," and there was no effort or interest in finding out the answer or assisting me further. It was a very simple question. I was left feeling as though I was an inconvenience and that she simply wanted to end the interaction as quickly as possible. For a luxury boutique, this level of customer service was extremely disappointing. Customers should feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of, regardless of whether they are browsing or preparing to make a purchase. I was considering making a significant purchase, but because of this experience, I decided to leave. I initially dealt with a young man who was polite enough I suppose, but not the most helpful. Contrastingly, Lauren stepped in and was relentless in helping me find what I needed. She was approachable but polished, polite but more importantly kind, and helped me search the store until we found what I needed in the kids section. Product selection is great but my service with Jordan raised serious concerns. I found a shirt and I had an exchange to make. I paid cash for the item I was exchanging and the receipt clearly showed that I paid cash yet Jordan refused to give me a cash refund. He kept asking me for a credit card to put the refund back on. I don't know what kind of bait and switch he was trying to pull but I was shocked at the bogus behavior. That's just fraud to take in cash and ask for a credit card to do the refund. Staff ruins the experience! Was excited to shop for a special occasion and purchase an item. I was looking at a sweater and a staff member (tall skinny caucasian man) was chatting to his coworkers complaining loudly that he just folded that and i was touching it. Absolute worse experience at this Ralph Lauren location. I come from Newport Beach and usually only shop at the RL location at south coast plaza & the new location opened up at fashion island, however I happened to be in Beverly Hills and wanted to look inside the Rodeo location. First off, upon walking in, this store looks horribly tacky with all their neon colors in the front of the store and the classy items hidden in the back; it was a complete visual mess. Secondly, and even more importantly, I was joined with my friends who happen to be black and asian & I witnessed the worst racial profiling I have ever seen. Three girl employees were constantly following them around but not me because I'm white and they had no shame in doing so. They made racist remarks under their breath as my friends walked by and it was definitely jarring to hear. These employees didn't just stop at racist comments, they then added in elitist classist comments which was honestly just hysterical considering they only work at Ralph Lauren, and definitely cannot afford purple label themselves unlike me and friends, who happen to be lawyers. I have never experienced nor witnessed this type of behavior at any Ralph Lauren location, but I was in the slums of Beverly Hills where the culture there is beyond classist, tacky, flashy, and new money. I had to do som last minute shoppin for a dress at Ralph Lauren Beverly Hills, and I was absolutely amazed by ther creative displays it sho they realy put effort into transporting you into a different environment, like a safarii jungle. This store on Rodeo is interesting to say the least. The design is beautiful, and I like how they clearly separate the men's from the women's clothing. All the guys there look like male models, the woman not so much. I kind of get the feeling they cater more to women and gay men for that reason. If you look like you are going to spend a lot of money or they know you have in the past they will offer up a free glass of wine or even let you into a private viewing room. But they expect to not to be doing that just to waste their time so I get it. -RUN AWAY, DON'T WALK, IF YOU COME ACROSS STEPHEN- I was honestly so extremely disappointed in my experience here at RL the other day. I was looking for a basic blue oxford and not only was it difficult to even get help while shopping, but my god I was blown away at how rude Stephen was during my entire transaction. To begin, he seemed so annoyed to even have to help a client, sorry if I'm disturbing your coffee break since you weren't even on the sales floor to begin with. I told him I needed a blue oxford since I saw basically every color on display except oxford blue (I'm sure you're all picturing it in your head right now, this is one of RL's most well known products!). He seemed so confused what an oxford was... sorry but how can you possibly work at RL and not know what an oxford shirt is? Someone needs to seriously give this guy a once-over in his product line knowledge. If he doesn't even know what an oxford shirt is, how would I even trust him to advise me if I was looking for something from Purple Label?? Continuing, I was blown away at how bothered he seemed when I said I needed a blue oxford and he acted like he had no idea what I was talking about... really? I pointed out to him his COVID mask was literally blue oxford cloth and he managed to understand what I was talking about after several minutes wasted of back and forth with his snippy attitude (not to mention I didn't see a single other customer in sight, so one can't even excuse his attitude on being busy). He said he would have to go and look for one, but by the tone in his voice you'd think he meant he'd have to go to the factory it was such an inconvenience to him; poor guy! I honestly just needed to get a shirt to wear to a conservative office event so I just decided to buy this so I wouldn't have to run any more errands. Even when checking out I tried to make small talk with Stephen and be friendly but he seriously had a chip on his shoulder, if you're going to have a poor attitude at work dealing with clients, then don't come. I finished the transaction and was doing some more shopping in the area when I decided to return this shirt since I was honestly so turned off from my entire experience and frankly it ruined my afternoon for a couple hours. When I went back to return it not only was he not on the sales floor (yet again), but he literally walked right past me when I was standing there waiting for him after someone went to get him, seriously? He needs a major attitude check since his level of childishness is just ridiculous. I told him I wanted to return the shirt and that I just didn't enjoy my experience just now and he asked why at which point I told him I thought he was honestly pretty rude with me. He then muttered something under his breath that I couldn't hear as he was processing the return, are you kidding me? Is this primary school??? I said, "Excuse me?" and he seemed shocked that I heard him and went on the defense and stumbled over himself to say he didn't say anything when it was really quite clear he just realized how in the wrong he was. I was honestly DISGUSTED with the service I received here, complete lack of professionalism, and total lack of knowledge of the product line. I seriously hope someone from RL reads this since it really turned me off the line as a whole. Since the store in San Francisco recently closed, I was hoping this would be a solid replacement but I wouldn't want to step foot in here again. Wow this place is fun to visit! All the employees wear the same tailored beige suits and they hide the registers in little alcoves so the view isn't spoiled by the view of consumerism. The store has a resort feel to it with palm trees and a water feature that mimics a babbling brook. They will bring you coffee or water while you shop, too. As you can imagine, it's pricey. Expect to pay $60 for a candle or a single pillow sham! Employees are super solicitous. read more

The staff here seem to have forgotten (or maybe never knew) that Ralph's favorite shirt came from Kmart. If you want to have a "pretty woman" moment, come to this store in Beverly Hills where most of the staff are so pretentious that it borders on being classless, UNLESS you give off the stereotypical illusion of "having money". You'll be treated well if that's the case, but for the rest of us who don't care to curate that image for ourselves, don't expect their best treatment unless you demand it. It wasn't until my husband got fed up with me being overlooked, watching those who fit the "image" (think obvious Botox and fillers, Beverly Hills glam) being offered sparkling water as they enter the store, offered fitting rooms and excellent service right away, that he felt he had no choice but to became assertive. Three of the sales associates mingling within earshot who contributed to initially giving us the cold shoulder choked in the moment, but one of the sales professionals who we assume is usually on the men's side, happened to walk by at this exact moment and turned the experience around for us. Thank you, David Scott, for your excellent service. You did not hesitate and you had no aura about you that said "you're not good enough for Ralph Lauren". We may not have looked it that day, but we have a decent collection of RL clothing, and are especially fond of the RRL line. We collect pieces that we want to wear and love for LIFE. We have been treated very well at every other RL, RRL & Polo store we've frequented, so to see the absolute lack of support and care for customers because we didn't "dress the part" for the day in Beverly Hills was disappointing. My only wish is that David made a commission on the sale. In the words of Julia Robert's "Big mistake. HUGE." As long as David works there, we will go directly to him for our needs and I suggest anyone reading this who doesn't want to be treated like garbage beneath the boots of this stores rude and judgmental employees save themselves the hassle and do the same. After everything I've seen and heard about Ralph, I find it very hard to believe that he would be okay with his stores employees so outwardly giving real people that they don't understand the cold shoulder. I also found it strange that at a store that carries all of their labels with such a wide gap in pricing, Purple, RRL and Polo, that they would be so rude to someone who is perceived as being not as wealthy as the next guy. That being said, We've never had a bad experience with any other RL, RRL or Polo store we've visited. This review is specifically for my experience with Rene. I wanted to get my dad a specific jacket for Christmas but it was sadly sold out online. It was luckily showing in stock at this location but I was not able to place an online order for some weird reason. I called this location and was transferred to Rene who was super helpful. He found the jacket I was looking for and was able to place my order over the phone and even offered to wrap my order. I picked up my order a few days later (their store is absolutely gorgeous) and I was able to quickly pick up my order. Rene even came up to me to greet me even though I could tell he was busy. He is so sweet and I cannot stress what a joy he is. If you ever need anything I highly recommend you ask for Rene. He is such an amazing soul! It's not my first time coming to the store. I love Ralph Lauren but this particular employee left a disgusting taste in my mouth. The customer service was horrible. This one experience has changed my mind about this whole brand. I was told by a sales representative (he was amazing and helped me a lot) in the prl store at Las Vegas about the 30 day return policy and that I will be receiving the cash back even with no receipt because they have my information in the system. I end up coming to this store in rodeo and they said they have no choice but to give me a gift card which infuriated me in the inside. I told them about the reason I needed cash back or maybe even give me a small amount and leave the rest in the card in a composed attitude. She then proceeded to give me a scowling look and kept saying no and that there is nothing that she can help me with. I'm hoping this review is looked by management. read more

Really POOR customer service! I went to buy baby clothes and the sales associate just stood in front of the room without helping me. I asked her if the room was the only room that had baby clothes (because it was pretty small) she replied very rudely saying "this is what we got, we can't put everything out on display" so I'm looking and she then mentions that there's more stuff in the drawers. I open the drawers to get different says and again she responds with a comment like "it's all the same thing" which I was confused bc they had different sizes. I started coughing bc there was something in the air, she doesn't offer me water and I have to ask twice for water before she acknowledges me. There were exactly two people who were nice to me in this store. I think it is important to point this out: I am as white as they come and I was wearing a $400 Ralph Lauren jacket. So this is not racism (but I can totally see how the reviewer below thought it was, and maybe it was in his case; I hate that a person of color might shop here and think they're being treated badly because of their skin color. Nope, they're just mean here). This is just some sort of general "I am better than you are and I'm not sure you are worth my time." I came to return an item I'd purchased online, and I'd hoped to buy something else similar, and maybe see what else I might like to buy. I live nearby, so I took an Uber. I've been very sick lately and I don't get to leave the house much -- so it was a special outing for me. The staff in this store ruined it. the most disgusting and disrespectful sets of people! the only reason why I gave it two stars was the for of one female employee who did take the time to listen and helped. I would not put the manager victor or josh in charge of handling dogs. dogs would be too precious for them to oversee. I wanted to write this reviews from 2022 but I just got a chance to. And I did not forget. try sending message to district manager whoever that is, and I know why some of his employees are filthy and trashy behaving people. Everything that flows down the stream of a river is what's at the head. I order a top from this store in November of 2022. I went home to find two packages at my door from them. I was curios as to why I was sent two packages when I only ordered one top. when I opened up the second package, it was a pair of boots with at price tag of $1,200 and a receipt totaling $4,577 with another person's credit card number on the receipt. I immediately called the store to alert Jose the sales person whom I dealt with over the phone, that they have sent me another persons item by mistake, in addition the top that I purchased was too big and I had to return it. Josue told me that he can send me a label to return the package with the boots but I must pay from my pocket to return to top. when I demand a label to return the top as he told me prior to the purchase that there would be no charge for return, he treated me worse than a dog and called me the "N" word. when I was placing the transition/order he asked me about my accent and I told him where I was from. and he told me that he is Spanish from another country, and if I needed anything else to let me know. but just because I had to return the item due to size I was a niger and everything ugly. Even though as person of integrity and honesty I returned another persons item to them that they sent to me mistakingly, the color of my skin says regardless of me doing the right thing I am nothing. when I reached out to the manger, he just slapped the icing on the cake by treating me like am not human and refused to give me the full refund with this twisted ungodly mentality, behavior and lifestyle. Several things stick out to me here immediately. 1) Very few stores on Rodeo Drive actually create this level of ambiance. They're all more or less opulent of course, but here you walk in and you're in a little universe that's so in character and NOT overdone. The way it is visually put together is maybe one solid step below a disneyland ride in terms of esthetics and mood- bravo on their part for that. 2) There's plenty of things for very discriminating customers here, and plenty for the looky loos too. If you desperately want to carry a bag (you don't speak of such things, do you) they've got polos and ordinary hoodies and things like that. You'll find more unique (and much more expensive) things here as well. Ralph Lauren does a good job with both markets honestly, they always have. 3) The staff here.... They were nicer to me at Chanel, and that's before I bought a couple things. They weren't rude to me here, but I'm a periodical consumer of high end goods- when I want them I look for them and I don't think too much about where I get them. They were either indifferent or polite to me. Most stores like this are warmer than that to me. SO. When other people complain about them being rude, I do not doubt it at all. Like I suggested, they probably deal with a good amount of looky loos here. I suppose that's part of why the associates have their guard up a little. I don't have to say much because Ralph Lauren speaks for himself. The Rodeo Drive store definitely represents the brand well. I fell in love with the Home showroom (or "Penthouse" as I love to call it) The associates are welcoming and very charming. The RL posh, yet laid back lifestyle trickles to all of the stores and associates because Ralph Lauren gets it. You do not have to be snooty to show you have arrived. This is what impressed me - I asked about bow ties because I wanted to get a gift for my hubby. After asking exactly what I was looking for, the associate recommended Brooks Brothers. I really appreciated that he did not push me to buy something at RL that I hadn't had in mind. I love this store! The best on Rodeo Drive. read more

Hubby lost a button on his RL club blazer . The replacement buttons could not be found . After a lot of searching RL San Fransisco suggested calling this RL store . I was helped right away got transferred to the tailoring dep . Gena managed to find buttons she went beyond and had 2 replacement buttons send to me . I'm in the Sacramento area .
