She took the time to educate me on the different types of fragrances and explained what they're made of, which made choosing the perfect scents so much easier. She also went above and beyond by sending me home with a bag of samples, some candy, and even one of the holiday cookies being passed out at the time. Called the main store number to inquire about my regular SA, spoke with Samantha, who said my SA is on vacation but with my phone area code I should go into the store and someone can help. Told her I'm looking to purchase a gift and was hoping to do a phone order (which has never been a problem). She said again with an annoyance in her tone that with my phone area code I should go in person or to the Topanga location, and since I haven't purchased anything in a while I can't make a phone order purchase. How do you not account for people moving and keeping their phone number?! You should be happy they're sticking to their SA even though they're no longer local. read more

Literally the WORST. Let's see. I purchased a pair of the Oran sandals online being that I already had two and knew how they fit. I ordered my same size. Unfortunately, when they arrived, they were much smaller than the ones I had. I'm assuming it had something to do with the texture of the leather. I went down to Beverly Hills to try them on in a bigger size in that particular leather so that I could see if I needed to order a new size or just return them altogether. Well, it took about 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I was a live living human in the store. Everyone acting super high nose and pretentious, and apparently only people with "advisors" receive immediate help. Finally, a gentleman asked what I needed, which I told him... he then quickly got his phone out and said "we'll just order you a new size." I said well let's hold on a second because I want to try the bigger size first before I commit to it. He quickly went down the list of what colors they had to which I said the color doesn't matter. I just need to try it on for the size. I also asked to try on a pair of boots that I saw. That was all fine and dandy. The gentleman then comes back and says that he will be leaving, so this other gentleman will be taking over. Well, the new gentleman should not be working in customer service at all. He treated me as if I was a peasant and for whatever reason did not think that I was going to be spending money in the store, so did not treat me with any respect. When I asked him questions, he was very blunt and kurt with me. I asked to try on a pair of loafers I saw someone else trying on that were really cute so he brought two different sizes. I tried on the first size and they were unusually small to which he made no response, took them from me and started putting them away. He then set the larger size out for me to try. One was much looser than the other and when I made that comment, he stated "usually one foot is bigger than the other." I told him I just wasn't sure because the sizing was off and he quickly took them from my hands, shoved them in the box and said "OK no problem thank you." At that point I said you know what I think. I'm just going to return these sandals, and he began to issue me a store credit to which I stopped him and said I wanted a refund. He said because it was an online purchase, I had to return it online as a previous reviewer mentioned. I was shocked. Had I known that I would've never driven to go to the store in the first place because to be honest, I was already dreading dealing with them being that I've had this experience of them being extremely extremely rude in the past. It seems unless you buy a $50,000 purse that you are a peasant if you're buying a $1000 sandal. Anyway, I asked him how to make the return online and he said "it should be in your email." And walked away. why would I want to spend my hard earned money here? So rude. So pretentious. So obnoxious. Like, no one ACTUALLY cares. Attitudes here are HORRENDOUS. read more

Lupita I was shopping with my family and we went to the Hermes store, I have never been here before but after this I will definitely be coming back!! We meet this kind worker named Lupita she was so sweet helped us around the store and even gave us nice expensive bottled water and cookies, she also gave us many perfume samples, lip gloss etc in nice packaging and one for each of us! She spoiled us and gave us the experience of a life time! I think she should get a raise !!! And employee of the year! I wrote this, along with a follow up email a week later regarding another disappointing shipping experience at the Beverly Hills store. I never heard anything back at all. Dear Hermes, I am thoroughly disappointed with my recent shopping experience. For the uniquely high prices you charge for your items, your shopping experience should be an efficient, polite pleasure. It is not. Rather, I found shipping at your Beverly Hills store to be disjointed, inconvenient, opaque, and slow. I bought a pair of loafers online which were stiff and hurt my feet. Stiff leather on a pair of shoes that costs over $1000 is a problem. I returned these to the Beverly Hills store, so that I could avoid buying shoes online that might again hurt my feet. When I returned the shoes, I was told I could only have a credit for in store purchases at the Beverly Hills store. So, I bought a pair of sandals in the store that day. Between waiting for the shoes to be brought out to me, trying them on (ten minutes maximum), ringing them up, and getting them placed in a shopping bag, it took over an hour to purchase my shoes. This lack of efficiency of service and sales transaction time is a problem. The sandals I bought were less expensive than the loafers I returned. I was issued a credit of around $280, which I was told could only be used in store. This lack of flexibility to use my credit online, or at any other Hermes store location, is a problem. When I called the store a few months later to confirm that they had a record of my credit, an Hermes associate named Olivia, who was not located at the Beverly Hills store I called, and had no ability to verify whether or not I had a store credit, said she would call the store on my behalf to verify my credit. She promised to call me back as soon as possible. This lack of transparency between store and customer service representative is a problem. Two days later, when I still had not heard anything from Olivia, I called again. This time, a different customer service agent verified my credit. When I asked if I could call the Beverly Hills store and use my credit to make a phone purchase, or purchase something the store might order for me, I was told I could only shop in person. This inflexible in person only shopping policy is a problem. So now, I have to drive across town, and shop a limited selection of items located in the Beverly Hills store, instead of shopping easily and flexibly in ways that almost every other corporate store on earth allows. What explains how Hermes can hold itself up as the pinnacle of service and quality, with prices that supposedly justify its excellence, when in reality, almost every aspect of the Hermes shopping experience is disappointing? We came here after having such a great experience at Louboutin up the street. Hermes was night and day different. Store didn't appear to be terribly busy, but it still took 15 minutes just to talk to a sales person. Eventually we were met by a saleswoman named Christine who had an impressively bad attitude. We had interest in a handful of items, one of which she mentioned was a highly sought after piece that they have a wait list for. She acted like we should've known this -- speaking to us in a way that felt both patronizing and arrogant. At one point she totally lost it when I asked what was a completely innocent and genuine question about whether one's position on the waitlist could be well correlated to their purchase history (which seems like a reasonable question, not unusual to get first dibs on stuff when you're a regular or high spender, right?). She saw some kind of red and wouldn't let up on me -- repeatedly telling me that she never said that (which I kept trying to remind her that I never said she did) and that that's just a dirty rumor (as to imply that I was perpetuating said rumor...like, girl, this is my first time here...I'm not on social media or anything...I just liked the purse...chill). It was so inappropriate, strange, insulting and awkward. Never have I been treated so poorly, and particularly in a luxury goods store. Left as soon as we could without making a scene. What a treasured first time Hermes experience on Saturday! I'm not really a "luxury gal" (Issey Miyake, vintage, and contemporary brands are more my vibe) but I really wanted to get an Hermes Apple Watch band for my anniversary gift and overall value quality over quantity. Hermes seems to fit that timeless, artisan, classic bill. This was the first time myself or husband stood in line for a store! Haha A woman came out and inquired what we were there to shop for (along with the other people in line) and 20 minutes later we were assigned to a sales associate and support by another gent. I love the Hermès boutique: It is timelessly stylish, all blond wood and walls the color of vanilla ice cream. While other stores try to act classy, but Hermès just is. (Only Loro Piana really comes anywhere close to Hermès' level of chic, but Loro Piana is a mere Jupiter or Saturn to Hermès' sun.) One feels at peace just surrounded by plethora of beautiful things -- never mind if one could never afford to drop $3595 on a saltwater crocodile belt, $690 on a pair of boxer shorts, $1375 on a plain black bustier, or $150 on a single A5-sized paper envelope. The staff is gracious and welcoming, which might seem surprising given the price point and reputation, and are happy to answer any questions from any customer. So why not five stars? Oh, that damn fashion bouncer! I still remember the old L.A., before the collapse of civilization and President Grampa's Brave New World, when any hayseed could just waltz into Hermès like it was Walmart. Maybe people stand in line for the Hermès boutique in Paris or Beijing, but not in America, damn it! Fine, sure, I get it: Times is hard. If you happen to meet Arthur Soloyan ask to be paired with someone else. Most SAs don't like taking walk ins, but Arthur is flat out rude, pretentious, and was incapable of bringing the Hermes experience to life. I had a beyond amazing experience w/Scott last week. I had a small return and didn't even bother to browse for other stuff as I know the usual type of clientele that frequent this store. He asked me if there was anything else I was looking for and I was like "no thanks" and he was like "are you sure'? He actually looked sincere which to be honest has not always been the case at Hermes for me. Since he asked, I asked him for a TPM which I had been wanting for a while (not a huge ask but still "hard to get" since demand is so high). He then told me to wait and went to look for one and unfortunately did not come back one (he came back with a Geta). He gave me his business card and said to text him all the colors I wanted of the TPM and that he'd be in touch. This is the type of service that everyone really deserves, whether the SA actually means what he/she says. Whether it was a performance or not, Scott genuinely made me feel like he wanted to help which is sadly not always the case . I have been a fan of the brand for a long time and with just a handful of purchases over the decade, most of it abroad. However, in more recent years, I have been disheartened, especially after the pandemic and the exponential increase in demand of H bags... the service had been lost. I honestly didn't expect to hear from Scott again but regardless, I was appreciative of his kindness and professionalism. I said goodbye and went on my way. Then a few days later, I found his business card in my bag and decided to text him my modest but still hard to get wishlist (non quota bags). He said thank you and a few days later, he texted me back with a few options of what he had, including a black TPM which I would imagine is very highly coveted. However, I have so many black bags so even though it might rub him the wrong way (where he's TRYING to help me and I decline), I did because in the end, I only buy what I absolutely love. Yes, I know others who take and then resell, etc., but I personally don't want to deal with the hassle and rather wait patiently for what I want EXACTLY (H isn't cheap obviously... I don't understand those who "settle"). Anyways, I politely said "thanks but no thanks" and honestly didn't expect to hear from him , at least not so soon again. Then a few days pass and exactly a week after I first met him, I get a text from Scott and said "are you able to come to the store today? I have a mini lindy in etoupe". Had to juggle things around but of course I was able to come down! I was over the moon (yes, I know it's only a bag but still)! And now reflecting back, I'm so appreciative of Scott. He helped me simply because he wanted to, just to make someone happy. I've never visited the Rodeo Drive location before and thought it was worth checking out as the stock at South Coast Plaza was kind of disappointing. (They don't always have the sizes or styles in stock for shoes and I didn't want to deal with buying online.) This location does not take appointments on Fridays or Saturdays according to their website, which means you will need to stand in the walk-in line. I got in line around 1:20 and made it into the boutique by 2:15. (Which was shorter than the wait times I've experienced at SCP, which are up to 2.5 hours.) They do put out umbrellas for shade and someone did come outside with water for everyone. Once inside, I was matched with a gal who showed me upstairs to try on and view their Jumping and Neo Boot styles. I learned that the former is very stiff leather and not ideal for me, as I'm not a super tall gal and they cut into the back of my knees when I sit. The latter was more flexible and comfortable. The clerk was knowledgeable and patient - she didn't pressure or push me into buying anything that day, which I appreciated. I also inquired about Gris Etoupe in the nail polish for my mom, but she informed me they were still out of stock and had been for months. I did take her card for the future as my experience with her was pleasant and I would consider doing business with her again. With regard to parking, you could try to find a spot on the street, which can be tricky for Rodeo Drive. Usually your best bet is to choose a public lot to park in. read more

So the last time I was here, I purchased three Hermes Birkin bag that of course I ordered to add to my seasonal collection. I try not to use my bags quite often because well I don't want to be robbed for them. But that's why they dubbed me the pistol packing princess. That's why they have security. If you feel uncomfortable about that well then maybe you should think about what's going on in your mind and get those stuff out of your head lol. Touching on security, very useful, very helpful, accommodating, never getting in your way always asking if you need their assistance again asking if you need help to your car. I received my Birkin and boy is she pretty. Again value, that's just tacky to ask, so like I said before I shall say it again it's Hermes! You get exactly what you pay for and then some and well worth it! Dropped in during our trip to see if I could get a twilly to match my bag. Upon walking in, no greeting. Browsed around with SAs "busy putting various items away" while trying to be discreet watching you. I walked over to ask to see what twillies they had and if they had anything in the bougainvillea (my bag color) colorway so I could see if it would match. An asian SA stopped what she was doing and said she would find someone to help me, but all the while an older white SA interjected and immediately said "We have no leather goods" with a stern look. I didn't care if there were bags of not, just anything that might be in that colorway. Rude. I ignored her and waited for my SA to come over. Came on a bad day. If you live in Los Angeles and planning a visit, stay away during a weekend especially during the summer. It was a chaos. Streets were packed with tourist, it was impossible to find parking and I had to line up just to get into the store (just like Paris!). Its normally not like this... It was ridiculous since I just simply needed to purchase shoes and I knew the exact size and color. I tried to order by phone but I was place on hold till I finished wearing full make up and had breakfast which made me drive to BH. (I don't recommend ordering over the phone since you'll be on hold for hours). You can simply buy it online but I wanted to use my visa gift cards and online requires one credit card for the purchase. Anyhow, after the long line, I was able to purchase and walk out in 3 minutes. Impressive huh? I meter parked and I didn't want to get a ticket. I told my sales rep that she didn't need to tie it into a pretty bow but she managed to do so in less than 15sec! She told me that it was the quickest purchase she'd ever done. We waited about twenty minutes to get in, followed by a super awful male middle age advisor (probably European, not sure) I didn't get his name and I assumed they knew I was going to write him a review, so they didn't tell me that. My friend was looking for a leather shoe and wanting to try another size on. The sales said "You have to be sure about your size first." The reason customers want to try different sizes is to ensure that in different designs. I didn't want to complain, so I pretended I didn't understand English and my friend kindly asked if there's any other sales who speaks in another language, which I would understand better.
