I stopped by this store in order to exchange an item that I purchased online. The store was large, clean, and had lot of items. The service here was excellent and upon entering the store, everyone who I interacted with was quick, professional, and kind. Yes, the items are expensive, but once in a while they have great sales and most items are of excellent quality (as well as look great!) For parking, I used the public parking garage on the opposite side of Alo. Enter on Canon, between Brighton and Santa Monica. This was just one block away and free for the first 2 hours (and I believe $3 every half hour after that?) When coming on a Saturday morning around 1045am, it was very easy to find parking, and only a 2-3 minute walk to the store itself. Tip: if you're only looking for something very specific, check online to make sure that they actually have the item in THIS store before you make the drive out. read more

Poor Quality clothing and bad customer service for $150 sweaters I purchased two sweaters and both began to fray almost immediately. When my gf brought them in to show the manager, she was told to send them in for exchange. We did that and then didn't hear anything. When I reached out, I'm told the bone colored sweater is no longer available and won't be until next black friday(11 months). So basically I am out the bone colored sweater that frayed in quality, and they couldn't bother to mention this ahead of time. Let alone respond to calls or emails. And I had to spend an hour on the phone because they couldn't confirm both sweaters were sent in. And we were charged shipping to return these frayed items. I work in the area and I went on my lunch break to grab a pair of windbreaker pants I have been looking at online . when I walked in the store I was not greeted by anyone even though two people were standing in the front one who appear to be a greater. I walked around the store for a full 10 maybe 15 minutes. No one spoke to me. I walked past the same girl three times. I also walked through the entire store, except the mens side . Not one person spoke to me. when I decided to leave because I didn't see the pants I was looking for on the floor as I was walking out, the blonde girl in the front told me to have a nice day. My immediate thought is so you saw me and didn't say anything ?! I will never go back to that store again! I've made most of my aloe purchases online cause I started buying during Covid but not only will I not go back to that store now I'm rethinking the price of the items and it's probably just not even worth it so I'm done with Alo. After a positive experience at The Grove, it was time to try out the shorts I had my eye on. Since I was solo for this trip, I decided to try out their Beverly Hills location. I felt this was a smaller store than the Grove, but I could be wrong. This time, I had a guy offer assistance and he helped me grab the shorts (now two different pairs) in both the XXS and the XS, in addition to another pair he suggested (they do their job well here). As expected, I was the dreaded in-between sizes, and I honestly don't know which size to go with. I guess the XXS may eventually give, but I don't know how long that will take. The ones he suggested I passed on since the inseam was longer than I preferred. Once again, I left with a good impression of alo, considering I would normally never set foot within until I was obligated due to other people. I DID return (after my dismal visit at an Orange County location, review for that to come) when I was narrowing down my choices (again) and I ended up with the Aurasoft short in XXS. Richie was the guy who was helpful on my previous visit, and he actually remembered me from then. Once again, a great time was had here, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

I left out wanting to cry. This blonde girl that I experienced was so condescending and rude to me. She was the one who gave out free socks for the recovery walk. She already seemed miserable to begin with, but I tried to be nice. I was asking her about the policy for how many items people can get. She was immediately unkind and wanted to check my name to see if I was there. She didn't do this with anyone else, the line was long and i was the only one she checked. I was visibly wearing active wear too. My name didn't come up and I got flustered because I remembered I most likely signed in under my mom's name (Yara). I use my mom's account for Alo so I went in line to return something while I looked for the email my mom forwarded me with the information for the walk and return receipt. She refused my return because she said it looked visibly damaged and washed. It was genuinely so appalling because 1) I didn't wash it and 2) I bought this set two days ago. Literally two days ago. I asked her to show me the damage and she shows me nothing and says you can see the damage. To whoever is reading this, I genuinely do not abuse clothing policies nor do I take advantage of wearing clothes only to return them later. I also always, always try to see people's perspective but in this scenario, she was genuinely just being unkind and difficult. I will show pictures of my clothes so you can see the "damage." There is no damage. I am disgusted with my interaction with her and even more disappointed that I was singled out and intimidated twice in the span of five minutes. Alo Yoga is an interesting place, especially their flagship store in Beverly Hills. On the one hand, it's basically just an expensive retailer in Beverly Hills, which fits right in with the other shops on the street. On the other hand, there are classes and the staff seems incredibly knowledge about the products and fanatical about the Alo lifestyle. The question these days with the "athleisure" brands is pretty much, is it worth the money? From Alo to Lululemon to Athleta, is their proposition worth your time and money? That's something I can't answer for you. For me, it's still a debatable question. While Alo's clothing kinda lean toward the athletic side, there is a sense that they're really marketing to a specific body type and in some ways their stores kind of make you feel that way. I don't know if that's the brand identity or just the Beverly Hills location, but there's an underlying feeling that if you don't look a certain way, you're not really getting the full service from the store as if you had that specific look. I hope I'm just being paranoid, but that theme seems to show up in a lot of other reviews. With regards to the quality of their product, it's comfortable, but make sure you try everything on as their sizing is a little different than their competitors. Is their higher price point worth the premium? Reluctantly...no. While their colors are more muted, their fabric choices aren't so different that they warrant the premium. So, why go? I feel like that's the question every marketing department is trying to answer, right? I think it's an image that you're trying to portray or a lifestyle you really enjoy and Alo does a good job at this specific task. Would I like it if the staff were more friendly to all customers? Absolutely, but I do think that has more to do with this location than anything else and let's hope that's the case. read more

I've never received less than five star service at this location there's been times the women allowed me to charge my phone while I shopped, Allowed me to go get lunch across the street at Il pastaio while holding items in good faith that I would return because I found myself hungry a long shopping lol And, I never left them hanging, only to return with a full belly hehe The women here are beautiful inside and out and they treat customers with dignity and respect. I have never felt pressured to buy anything and as a result I always buy more than I need to. I did have one young lady tell me to size down in a yellow light pastel yellow biker shorts to which my butt crack could be seeing which resulted in me having to return and that's actually just quite funny because the fit was good on the waist but my behind stretched the light fabric to thin in the back, it was beyond sheer and not tasteful yet she thought it was so hot, so bless her heart! Lol Now, I do a lot of shopping around Beverly Hills and I believe that the management here does well because the women that work here are happy they don't seem stressed out. I've never felt like they were trying to upsell me or get me more items than that I needed, and in this day and age that's to be appreciated it! 5 stars as well deserved ladies! I came here to exchange a top I received for Xmas from my teenage daughter. I didn't have a receipt and it wasn't linked to my account so I was hoping for someone willing to help. Immediately the associate had no idea so she called the manager Margarita; who didn't want to help me so I left. After calling customer service I found out that I could use the bank statement to find the transaction number so I went back to the grove and they were more helpful with the exchange. If you want to be ripped off, then buy online on their website. This is one of the worse companies i've ever experienced in my life. A coworker came to LA from brazil for a few days and bought a jacket on their website. He paid $25 for express ups shipping, they said 1-2 days delivery on the website checkout page. 3 days later the package hasn't arrived yet and my co worker had to go back to Brazil the next day. I called to cancel the order and i had to fight to get a refund. Ups would t deliver it in 1-2 days that was a scam, and the customer service told me i had to call ups to ask them to re route the package to their warehouse, excuse me? i'm not doing your job! I didn't even have a tracking number all i had was an order number 7 days later today i had to call them again to find out where was the refund of $151.11 the CSR said the package hasn't returned by ups yet, therefore i wouldn't get a refund until ups had confirmed the shipment of package back to their warehouse. Not my responsibility! i had to throw a fit then she found the returned package was already at the warehouse 2 days earlier. Apparently only $128.11 was going to be refunded, the $25 for UPS express shipping was stolen by alô yoga. why should the customer be ripped off for shipping cost when no package was delivered to us? You need to refund the $25! They can't lose it but we can? ridiculous ! read more

I passed by yesterday to this location and bought a dress and let me tell you the service is TERRIBLE. They do not care about their customers and their only priority is to maintain high egos and unprofessional attitude. I don't care whether i am going to buy something or not, staff should have human decency in being respectful. This store sucks!!!! I went to the store and the service was horrible, first of all there was a worker following me around, like I was going to rob something. Next I wanted to try something on and it was almost like I was invisible. There was a girl there that ignored me and when another girl came I was finally attended. While looking around I asked where I could find an item and was told where to find it instead of being directed. Absolutely in love this store & the yoga classes are amazing!!!!!!! Staff are so helpful & sweet. Marie is incredible Monday's & shayla is amazing on Saturday. Also Harper sometimes subs shes also great. All the teachers are so on point - they adjust your form & give you excellent tips. I really value their expertise as hey we can all be more flexible. You will walk out of a session floating on a cloud. They have the doors open upstairs so you get this gorgeous breeze while in the practice. Been to all ALO YOGA stores in LA: pacific palisades, Santa Monica, The Grove, and Their flagship "beverly hills," I have to say Beverly Hills customer service is the worst customer service I've received. I can not believe it's their flag ship store, please replace your manager. She is horrid and provided me a nightmare experience. Being in high end / luxury retail sales for most of my career, The BH Alo Yoga manager shouldn't deserve to be here representing such a great brand. I'm a huge Alo fan and when I was shopping here several employees complimented my hair and gave me random curly hair tips which I super appreciated. I ended up buying the shampoo and conditioner from Alo along with my purchase and I really like it for my 2b waves. Love their classes (shout out to Shayla!) so it pains me to leave this review, but the experience I had in their retail store today is just not ok. I went in to browse and try on a couple sizes. I was standing there looking for about 5 minutes, and there was an older white man near me. During those 5 minutes, two separate sales associates and went up and asked him if he needed any help, and even addressed him as sir! Did they bother coming up to the young, Asian American guy? Nope. I was ignored the whole time, and there's no way the sales associates didn't see me because I was seriously 5 feet away. So you know, just some good old fashioned discrimination in 2019 in Beverly Hills.
