When my sister got home she decided the dress was actually too big. So we went back the following weekend to exchange it. I'm giving it one star because I can't give it 0. I've purchased several shows from Thai brand through the years and I enjoy the quality. I walked into the store perusing the nicely put together merchandise and waited to be attended. Not one of the 4 clerks noticed my existence. Walked to the register hoping someone would notice I was ready to pay. After 5 mins of standing at the register with with a pair of shoes on hand, a young clerk walked right past me, in front of me however entirely ignoring me. She did this 2 more times until (probably my furious stare) made her finally acknowledge me. She was not cordial nor helpful. Asked me what I wanted as if her employment didn't depend on costumer purchases. I asked her to call the manager, she instead called another clerk (a more seasoned one) who instead of offering assistance and and an apology, nervously wrote down generic information and fumbled a few words. When the manager finally came up, he looked annoyed that he had to deal either the subject and let the other clerk finish writing the info. He did not even attempt to say hello. All in all, disastrous costumer service. These people are the reason why stores close down and online shopping takes over. No disappointing, and rude interactions with dense humans. read more

I ordered a pair of burgundy suede knee-high boots online, and needed to exchange them for a half size smaller. I called the store, and Adam helped me. He said to ask for him when I came in and he would help me. Adam was super friendly and polite. I wanted to try on a pair of boots in my desired size to ensure they would fit right. He helped me with that, and also with trying on some adorable Western cow-print booties that I was so tempted to buy. I may end up getting those, too. I added a star because the shop had a nice variety of merchandise, nice decor and seating options to try shoes on. My mom in law was excited to check out this location in Beverly Hills, also she was very determined to buy something LOL. She ended up getting a pair of sandals, I think they were too wide, but the sales girl, did the selling, so she convinced her they were fine. We shall see. While my mom in law got helped, because the sales girl approved of her brand of sneakers and the brand of her watch (eagle eye!), she ignored me the whole time, never talked to me, offered me help, because I guess I was wearing Sketchers, so I didn't qualify! The day before Thanksgiving I bought my daughter 3 pairs of shoes. We asked about Black Friday sales and they said "whatever is on sale now is it". Friday my daughter went online to order yet another pair and couldn't believe the new markdowns. From $140 to $83 is a huge savings per shoe. I went into the Beverly HIlls store and they told me they don't do adjustments. 1. As nice as they were when we were purchasing, they were rude and dismissive when I asked about adjusting the price and mentioned that they told us there were going to be no further or new reductions. 2. They suggested I contact customer service. The customer service guy was nice and said it should be no problem to adjust, but its been 10 days and i've heard nothing. Customer service is key to any business and I'm not surprised to see how many complaints there are about this in the Beverly Hills store. Sadly, until they respect and care about their customers they just lost my daughter and friends who were big supporters of the brand. So many other great options for shoes. read more

I typically don't do reviews for any business. I'm not picky or particular at all as I've worked both in the bar/restaurant/retail industry in the past and that's taught me understanding. However, my visit to this business was subpar at best. I'm not giving this visit a 1 star review because none of the staff welcomed or greeted us upon entry, no. I'm sure the 3 store reps didn't notice us come inside to "potentially buy" because they were speaking to their clients . It's more because it took around 5 minutes of us walking through the store, still unnoticed, before my partner decided to be assertive and ask to be helped. I placed an online order for a pair of heels my partner had seen and loved and of course, like everybody does, I expected our product to be brand new. Sealed AND new... While one rep went to fetch our order, another customer noticed we were still seemingly waiting and I believe she asked her sales person that he could assist us, to which he responded, "oh no it's okay. no they did an online order so they're on a different system." Again, I understand online works differently but man, don't make us feel irrelevant/unimportant. Or at least say those things discreetly! The salesperson eventually came back with our order and we were going to leave thereafter. Note this, we weren't even asked anything in regard to fitment or if we had questions or if there was another product that caught our attention that we could buy. Nope. I've also been a sales person for part of my career and this team lacked passion as well as interest/initiative in helping a customer. I was very upset by this point but I held character. I asked my partner to check her heels and see if she liked them in person. However to complete shock, both heels were dirty, had deep scuff marks on their bottoms and looked used and tossed. On one of them, there was even hair strands wrapped with the protective mesh it came with... and I paid new price tag for THAT? Item was both disgusting and disappointing. But you see what summed it all up, was how the rep reacted when we brought this to her attention. She didn't seem surprised or even shocked... my partner described it as, "I felt like she didn't expect us to check the box, like they just wanted to get rid of this..." The rep then added dismissively, "someone must've tried it on in store." The marks and scuffs weren't cause by that, no. They were worn multiple times, returned and then sold back to us as "brand new." And even if you have In store displays, is that what these employees sell to customers? Is that Sam Edelmans standard? Used, unwanted, UNCLEAN items that need to get out of their inventory? This was supposed to be a little random gift to my partner that day but due to the situation, we had to request a ship-to-home order. I just hope they shipped me an ACTUALLY NEW PAIR and not another pass-me-down. As a first time buyer, I got a little code for signing up for marketing but I didn't wanna spend more time in that silly store. Key-points here are: DONT dismiss a paying customers concern, don't subtly minimize ANY customers relevance AND definitely acknowledge a potential client when they walk into your store. But most of all, SELL NEW, CLEAN PRODUCTS!!! read more

During the week of 14 August 2022, I had two diametrically opposing customer service experiences at the N. Beverly Hills Store. At the top of that week I called to that store to inquire about a shoe. From the start of that call the customer service rendered was superb from start and to the finish. I was greeted with an abundance of enthusiasm, courtesy, and attentiveness. I called in with one shoe in mind, that shoe was not available; but secondary to the superb customer service rendered by Anthony and his co-worker on that day, I ended up purchasing not one (1) but two (2) pairs of shoes. The next day I called back, as I needed to make an additional inquiry regarding my purchase from the day before. It was as if I had called to a totally different store. This time there was no enthusiasm, the phone rang multiple times before it was answered, and when the clerk finally answered she presented as if it was a bother to even answer the phone. The care and the attentiveness to my needs as a customer; like that I had experienced the day before, was just not there. The clerk was disinterested, unfriendly, and her customer service disposition bordered rudeness. I specifically asked for Anthony, who was not in that day (Sunday), I then requested to speak with management. I was placed on hold for an extended period of time, and ultimately was not allowed to speak with the manager; instead, I was told by the clerk "that manager said she was at lunch... take your name and number and your call will be returned". That return call NEVER HAPPENED. I called back the next day, asked for Anthony, and was told he would be in the following day. Called back on the following day, Anthony answered the phone and I (the customer) was consistently greeted with the same superb drive toward customer service/satisfaction (enthusiastic, courteous, and attentive), from the beginning to the end. GREAT JOB Anthony! Sam Edleman, Anthony gets it... he understands and demonstrates his understanding of the idea of a Well-Performed Customer Service. Because, at the end of the day Well-Performed Customer Service equals INCREASED REVENUE. This location is in a prime place... but I have worked up and down rodeo drive and I get and have given better service than this place! The so called manager on duty... told me not to touch the shoes on the shelves, scolded me for picking them up when I asked for a few sizes.... he did not even listen to me. As soon as he scolded me he then put them back and then turned around and asked.... " so what is it that you were looking for today?" The sales person did not listen at all to me... I later pointed at a multi colored slide and said I would like to try it. He brought out the wrong color and I said no I wanted to try that one. Again he scolded me and told me that I was wrong but that he would go back and get me the right one... then he GRABBED THE SHOE RIGHT OFF MY FOOT! I was in shock. I told him to stop and he did it a second time.... having been a manager in retail for over 10 years I could not believe what was happening... I asked for someone else to help me because I did not feel comfortable and he told me... everyone else was busy. My husband called to speak with the manager and all was offered was a discount when the shoes go on sale.... in a market saturated with many places to shop and buy Sam Edelman... they should not treat their customers with such disrespect. Corporate is going to be notified that you allow people to be treated in this way. I have heard multiple stories about this staff throughout Beverly Hills, if you are looking for somewhere to buy shoes... look somewhere else. I will never be back read more

Came here again and the customer service was horrible upon my entering. One of the sales reps gave me a stank look. Maybe it was because I didn't fit the Beverly Hills image, wearing workout attire and Nike slides. She was chatting w/ a woman but come to find out it was another sales rep about who knows what. Not until I stood in close proximity to them and looked at them did they stop to ask me if I needed anything. I told her I did but I was waiting for them to finish their conversation. I can admit I was annoyed that this is the type of service that's being offered especially in a location such as "Beverly Hills". I did tell her that she should provide customer service then I wasn't surprised that she told me that she helped me and my mother before (I had already recognized her) so it through me for a loop. I also did inform her that it seems as if she is giving attitude and she disagreed. They did bring out what I was looking for and I did proceed to purchase. I purchased the boots only because I wanted them. If it was for service I would have not and drove all the way to the OC location. I hope they get some training on how to better serve their customers. They still get 4 stars because the quality of their product is so good. read more

Today, having to return a pair of shoes I've never worn, I was rudely told by a valley girl teenager she couldn't return them because they'd been worn. This was one of the cleanest stores I've been in innbeverly hills ! I walked in and the first thing I noticed was my reflection in the floor. So shiny. I tried to return some shoes I bought at a different store (I believe Nordstrom) the manager was called by the sales boy.. Her name was Minah I believe, she explained to me why she could not return.. She was VERY friendly and didn't not embarrass me. I took my shoes and left. But let me you something. Good customer service is hard to come by and that woman talked me into buying these fab bracelets from India I believe I bought the hole collection! I will post pictures.
