Visited on May 9, happened sometime between 2pm-5pm. This review is specifically about the customer…read moreservice experience. I came to this location after calling ahead and being told that the dress and size I was looking for were available in store. Since this was for a very special occasion, I was excited and made the trip out to Beverly Hills specifically for it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing almost immediately. When we asked an employee for help locating the dress, the interaction felt very unfriendly and dismissive. I completely understand retail can be busy and stressful, but the tone and body language made it feel like asking for assistance was an inconvenience. It made the shopping experience uncomfortable instead of welcoming. Things became even more uncomfortable when I was in the fitting room trying on a dress and another employee entered without knocking while I was changing. There was no warning or pause before entering, and it caught me completely off guard. Privacy in fitting rooms should really be handled more carefully. At that point, I honestly just wanted to leave. The only employee who made the experience better was Tiffany, who was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. She was the one bright spot during the visit and I appreciated her professionalism. To make matters worse, I was then told to go to the Melrose location because they supposedly had the dress in stock there. After spending another 30 minutes driving over, I found out the dress was not actually available. The inaccurate inventory information made an already frustrating experience even more disappointing. I am intentionally avoiding personal or physical descriptions in this review, but I believe management should be able to determine which employees were involved based on the timing of my visit and the interactions that occurred in the fitting room and sales floor areas. I had really hoped this would be a fun and memorable shopping trip because I was looking for a dress for an important once-in-a-lifetime event. I already felt a little intimidated shopping in Beverly Hills, so the dismissive interactions and overall atmosphere unfortunately left me feeling uncomfortable and discouraged instead of excited.

At Brentwood, Brian and Romero have been incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and honest in guiding fit and selections. They actually listen, which makes all the difference--especially when you're trying to get something as specific as the right pant fit. And more recently, Nancy at the Camarillo outlet went out of her way to help coordinate sizing, share photos, and make the process easy and seamless. That level of care--especially across locations--is rare. What stands out most is the consistency: no pressure, no upselling--just smart, attentive service and a genuine desire to help you find what actually works. It makes shopping feel easy! Thank you!

First off, Promenade parking is super easy and the store is beautiful. Second, Leslie and Israel were working and made me feel very welcome. Leslie was super (I mean super) patient with me regarding the hem and even explained some useful information about their sizing. There was also a misunderstanding and she was kind enough to make an exception which I appreciated. Ultimately, I didn't have one pair of shoes on me for narrowing down the exact hem length so she pinned the pants up so I could double check the length before getting them hemmed when I get back out to SM later this month. Service is super important for me and Leslie went above and beyond. I left happy thanks to the staff.

I had a very frustrating experience with Everything But Water, and it highlighted some serious gaps…read morein both communication and customer service. This started at the Brentwood location, where I was specifically told that the Century City store carried the Sunsets brand. That brand is important for customers who need structured sizing (like 36DD), so I made a separate trip based on that information. When I arrived at the Century City store, they did not carry Sunsets at all. When I explained that Brentwood had directed me there, I was told I "should have called first." What's frustrating is that I relied on information given to me by your own store, only to be redirected again and then blamed for not verifying it myself. For customers who need structured sizing, this is not a small issue. You can't just try random styles--fit is very specific, and without consistent inventory or accurate guidance, it becomes extremely difficult to shop in-store. On top of that, the return/exchange process was unnecessarily complicated. I was not allowed to exchange for a different style in the correct size and was instead required to repurchase the item. This left me with over $500 temporarily tied up across multiple charges and pending refunds. The staff I interacted with were polite, but the system itself is rigid and not customer-friendly. For comparison, stores like Nordstrom handle exchanges and returns seamlessly, without putting this kind of burden on the customer. Swimwear is one of the most fit-sensitive categories in retail. Without accurate communication between stores and a more flexible exchange policy, the customer experience becomes unnecessarily frustrating. I hope the company takes a serious look at improving both its inventory communication and return process, because this experience was far more difficult than it should have been.
