Founded in 2013 in Venice, California, by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen Ford, they started out of a 350-square-foot garage with locally-made jeans and tees and a simple goal to make clothing that will stand the test of time. Because they are made in the US and use high quality materials they are quite expensive. A friend was wearing a really nice T-Shirt in the Bay Area and when I asked him about the brand he told me "Buck Mason". I wasn't trying to come here specifically but remembered the name when I saw the store and decided to come. Staff was nice and offered water, they also have quite a large selection of liquor near a turn table but I didn't feel like having a drink at the time. I did end up find the T Shirt I wanted and it's easily my favorite T Shirt now!

Upon entering, it's easy to find the counter towards the back of the store, and I was greeted by the blonde girl working. Letting her know an item was on hold, she directed me over to the fitting room. I saw two doors open but one had clothing in it, but another employee offered assistance, letting me in the other open room. I wanted to make sure the fit was proper, so I walked on out and the same employee was there to help. She was very informative, and said the fit depended on how you wanted the length to be, if you wanted them low or higher on the hips, etc. I knew I had made the right choice. Even though I had planned on wearing these primarily on flights, I have a feeling they'll be sneaking into my weekly wardrobe. Same girl rang me up, and this was a seamless transaction. She also sent me an offer code via email so I was able to save on my next purchase (which I already used on another pair of joggers). The name 'Shawn S' was on the bottom of the receipt, and I was here back in later March on a Monday. I'm starting to check out Vuori's site more now, and I'm happy my experiences with the company have improved immensely.

I wasted $1,600 on a leather jacket that's 10" too big for me and they won't exchange it or give me my money back. I stopped into the store one day, and a woman named Mary extolled the many benefits of a custom tailored leather jacket, mainly the specifics of how well it would fit. I bought one, and she took my measurements for it at the store. Nearly six months later it arrived and was WAY too big (see photo #1). We arranged for a return and she asked me for my correct waist size. I told her (and this is in writing via email exchange "I wear a size 32" jeans") and she assured me that would be enough for the correct jacket to be sent. Another nearly six months go by, and the new jacket arrives. And low and behold, it is again way off in the waist. I measured the waist (see photo 2) and it corresponds to a size 44" jeans. And now the store is accusing me of having worn the jacket and refusing to process my return, sent the jacket back to me, and refuses to answer my calls or emails. I spent a year dealing with these clowns. They are negligent and have no clue what they are doing. They got the measurements wrong not once, but twice in row! And now because they don't want to have to pay for the jacket (presumably the manufacturer is not to blame so they would be stuck with the bill) they are looking for loopholes in their return policy to stick me with the bill despite the fact that this is clearly their fault. DO NOT BUY THINGS FROM THIS STORE - THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING

They also have some bad ass leather jackets there as well. Prices are very fair, especially for Montana Ave, sales people there are never pushy, always friendly, and the place is just packed with all around cool clothing, and fun stuff including books, trinkets and accessories.

This small boutique specializes in female clothing, accessories, and fun knick knacks. I purchased my favorite corduroy pants here, as well as a few tops/dresses. I love that every item is unique and you won't find it copy/pasted across the Venice boardwalk. It's also a great place to search for the perfect gift. I found a dainty gemini necklace for one of my best friends and she's worn it non-stop for months. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! While the items aren't cheap, they're definitely more affordable than the majority of Abbot Kinney shops.
