I love not only this store, but the great customer service that I ALWAYS get from Heidi! There are other stores on Montana Avenue that have a few men's clothing tidbits here and there, but Enda King is the only full on men's clothing store on the block, or even the area for that matter. I've bought a number of items from this store over the years, including a really cool hat, one of my favorite men's shirts brands 7 of Diamonds, bathing suits, shorts, they have everything. They also have some bad ass leather jackets there as well. Prices are very fair, especially for Montana Ave, sales people there are never pushy, always friendly, and the place is just packed with all around cool clothing, and fun stuff including books, trinkets and accessories. read more

Service was fine. Good quality and interesting wares. The problem is that I peeled back the price label of $135 after my husband and I returned home, and the retail price was $125!! To add insult to the injury of marking up the price ABOVE retail, as others have noted, no returns, which shows a lack of confidence that their customers will be happy with the purchase, which we weren't. Will never go back. Don't think they will be in business within 5 years. read more

Thought the selection was great for the size of the store. That being said, the person who was "helping us" was extremely rude and unhelpful. You'd think that as we're making a purchase, they could have a little bit of class and at least try and be friendly. If a customer shows you a defect in something, it's probably a good idea to offer them a substitute or at least offer to help, instead of saying "yeah, it's been there a long time. What do you want me to do". Definitely won't be returning. There are better places on the street and in the neighborhood. read more

I wish I could say more but it's 10:30 am local time and there (newer) location on Montaña in SaMo seems nice from a window shopping perspective yet neither locations phone numbers actually ring to even a voicemail that explains their hours much less anywhere posted on brick and mortar nor web links, Yelp...etc! Maybe I'll get a reply w info yet I have no eye deer how businesses stay fluid when they're closed while all their neighbors flourish w business! Hopefully I'll be able to try on a shirt today, it is coastal Cali soul maybe there's a good tide rolling in rye meow! read more

Actually, this review is for the location on Montana. Enda gave me some great recommendations, even talked me out of a shirt and explained why it wasn't fitting properly. Found a much better fit & absolutely love it! It's a pleasure to shop at a store where the owner really cares about how his customers look when they leave wearing his fashions. I'll definitely be back! read more

I had the best experience Easter weekend shopping at this store with a friend who flew in from San Franscisco. We did most of our shopping in this store because of the friendly saleswoman and the great selection of men's clothes. There wasn't a fear of dying or a fear of being happy in this store that I found in so many of the other small businesses that are copying the big chain store by being militant about abusing people's right to breathe fresh air or to be close to one another. The joy of life has been stollen from us and if we don't claim it back and recognize happy, nice business owners who welcome us in - then we have nothing but a fear of living. I don't fear living or dying but I do fear the passive and angry people out there who own and run businesses and perpetuate doom and gloom. This woman made our day by being happy and welcoming instead of militant and fearful. And, that's why we spent most of our money in her store. Loved her! Thank you for a great experience and for the great clothing selection. Great colors and fabrics for men! Stay Free, Sis read more

So, just to follow up...myself and my friend reported Enda King Men in Venice to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for not exhibiting fair business practices. He, at the time we purchased on July 3, 2010, did not verbally tell us, "there are no refunds," did not post a sign attesting to the same and did not stamp his receipt stating his policy. When he received the complaint from the BBB, he answered it with lies which were incredulous (such as stating that my friend tried on many shirts and took a lot of his time, a complete falsehood as he was only interested in one George Roth and simply tried on the L and XL). Anyhow, he added even more falsehoods and when all was said and done, the BBB saw through his antics and found in OUR favor and told him his business practices were unfair. I'm dying to go back in there and see if this weasel managed to post just one sign stating his policy or buy a $9.00 stamp from Staples to put on his receipt -- which would make his business practices fair, but based on his EXTREMELY large ego and arrogant manner, I would doubt that he has come clean. He'd rather loose a customer for life than do the right thing, which is not only ethically wrong, but stupid, as we would have spent a lot more money in the future at his store were he not a lying, horrible businessman. By the way, that's not slander, as we are supported by the BBB in our claim. It's just the truth. read more

If you find something you like, do yourself a favor and look for it on the manufacturers website first. Enda Kind has ridiculous markups on some of their products and they do not offer cash refunds. My cousin and I stopped in here after we saw some interesting looking shirts in the window. The woman behind the counter was on her cell for at least 10 minutes from the time we entered and didn't acknowledge us at all. Still, we looked around for a while and were pretty impressed by their selection. The In the end, I bought a pair of Tres Noir sunglasses and my cousin bought a Goorin hat. We were happy with our purchases until I decided to look at Tres Noir's website. The exact same glasses that I paid $130 for were listed by the manufacturer for $85! Then we checked out Goorin's website and the hat that my cousin payed $40 was listed for $14! That's a 50% and 180% mark up!! It was then that I remembered seeing a sign at the counter that said "No cash refunds. Store credit only." We called Enda King and asked if they could at least get closer to the manufacturer price, and not only did they say no, but they said they "get that kind of question a lot'. Clearly they know they are ripping people off. Yes, they have some good looking clothes, but if you buy anything, know that you could get it direct from the manufacturer for way less. read more

We live here and rarely do we shop on Abbot Kinney but my husband wanted a new summer jacket for Father's Day so we popped our heads inside. He was wearing a multi-colored hat, unlike anything they have in the store. Yes, Enda does carry hats but they are all single colored with a tie-band around it. While my husband was trying on clothes, the dude behind the counter asked my husband, "Is that your hat?" KNOW YOUR PRODUCT/INVENTORY BEFORE SOUNDING ACCUSATORY. Will never shop here. read more

I'm a huge fan of Enda King, his store, and OK, I admit it, his lovely sales associate(s) :-) They've got impeccable taste in clothing, fantastic customer service and as other reviewers have said, I never seem to walk out without several pieces of clothing; and I consistently get compliments on my Enda King purchases. If in LA, definitely go out of your way to visit Enda King on Abbott Kinney. read more

Great men's clothes come to Abbot Kinney. Cool clothes already picked out for you by someone who knows clothes. He's British for Christ's sake ! (as in James Bond) If you're lucky, you'll stop by on one of his sale days and look good for cheap! read more

Came in here last weekend and this place is tragic. Should be called Enda-Peasant cause it smells kind of like a farm. Past seasons leftovers, cluttered junk overflowing on shelves (no organization). I asked to see a watch and the counter lady was startled like she forgot where she was or something (keep in mind our group was looking at stuff for a good 5 minutes in front of her). Overall the selection is terrible, space is almost as bad, and the people are worse. read more

Enda King (the store and the owner) are a must when in Venice and definitely worth the drive if you are not. The selection is fantastic whether you are going to work or for a night out and Enda is extremely helpful if you are having a hard time making a decision. And, if your concerned about the the return policy (C.S.) default to common sense and ask. I will visit again soon and often! read more

Always a good selection and pleasant staff. One of the good ole time Abbot Kinney stores.

Amazing selection for men. I buy all my boyfriend's clothing gifts here, great selection and staff!! Highly recommend:)

Enda is a consummate merchant behaving more like a curator than a sales man. One of the best selections of men's woven shirts I've come across in one storefront...in the world! I'm an XXL in today's world of slim fit/tailored fit shirtings. Periodically at seasonal shifts I call ahead, and Enda or one of his staff will set aside every style they have in my size and I'll show up and bang out a selection that's perfect for me. They don't rush me and steer me to good values as well as the special styles. read more

I live in San Francisco, but everytime I'm in LA --- which seems like a weekly occurence, I stop by this amazing men's boutique on always pleasant Abbot Kinney. I have never walked in and not walked out with at least one or two items. King's got a great eye and offers a truly enjoyable respite from the normal shopping hullabaloo. Now please... open a store in San Francisco! (King just opened a women's boutique next door, and my girlfriend refuses to enter for fear of what she might walk out with.) read more

Before you buy from this place, make sure you look up the item online first. This store only re-sells items at huge markups and don't offer refunds, only store credit. I purchased a jacket as a Christmas gift only to realize later that they marked it up 50%. Go here for inspiration, then buy online. read more

This store is awesome. I don't normally write reviews, but sometimes Abbott Kinney shops get a bad rap, and this shop was so great I feel compelled to write about them. I just moved to Venice a few weeks ago and hadn't shopped on Abbot Kinney yet with the intent to buy stuff. I went shopping yesterday because I needed to get a few things, but really didn't want to deal with the kind of people you sometimes hear about working in AK stores. Adam and Margaux, the staff yesterday, were very friendly from the moment I entered the shop. Adam was extremely helpful in picking out the right size for me and made excellent stylistic suggestions. This was a very enjoyable shopping experience and I picked up some great stuff (and this is coming from someone who is not super into shopping). When I got home, I realized one item, a white shirt, had a mark on it. I took it back and the woman in charge (I forgot her name already--forgive me!) let me exchange it for another shirt, without hassle. She was really great about the whole thing. Of note, I'm thin/fit and often have trouble finding slim/athletic tapered button-down shirts that work for my body type (shirts are usually very baggy around the torso and waist, and the shoulders are too puffy). Their cuts work very well for my frame, so I'm stoked to find this place. To sum up: This store has super cool style, style that looks really cool on adults (read: you don't look/feel like an adult in a teenager's clothes) and the staff totally rock. I'll definitely be back. The only possible down side, if you can call it that, is that I'll probably end up buying a lot of stuff from this place. You can't go wrong shopping here. read more

My boyfriend is really hard to buy for. Not to mention, I'm an el-cheapo. So when I step into a Mens clothing store that has cool guys clothes with a good mix of sale item's I'm excited! Trendy without being to teen-beat or whoa! way out there, Edna King Men had a great style and vibe. I ended up getting him 2 cool T's at only $20 each but heavily considered a jacket for $75 and a really cool belt. I will take him back to this shop to try on some dud's for sho! read more

I hesitate to write this review because I don't want people to know my secrets, lol. But as a business owner, I know they help so...I love this spot. I bought some t-shirts years ago that I still wear (in the totally cool way.) I live on the East Side and went to Venice specifically to go back to that store recently and again, great stuff. Enda is super chill and is doing a fantastic job at curating that "luxury casual" vibe. He gets it. If you're sick of Urban Outfitters, etc and also sick of Nordstrom, etc. and you want to find great day to day clothes that can gracefully transition from day to night. This is it. If you're a freelancer like me and need to feel put together but not too put together, this is the spot. You want to be comfortable, cool, and not try too hard.. this is your spot. You want to find things that you most likely haven't seen before until you got there? This spot. I'll be back. Regularly. read more

Enda offers no cash refund. I bought a hat for my husband for father's day and 2 days later when he tried it on it was too small. We returned it on father's day and the staff refused to refund it even though they did not carry the xxl size in store which was offered on the manufacturer's website. The store would rather make money on tourists rather than retain local business. We won't return again. read more

Great selection of merchandise, really their stuff is stylin' . And there's a great vibe, and it all just works with the Abbott Kinney thing. Just don't let it go to your head while you're in the store: check for missing buttons, check the prices, and double check the credit card slip for math errors. read more

Have you ever walked into a store where the staff treated you like you were imposing on them? This would be that store. When I walked in the saleswoman was sitting on a couch, which I'm sure is meant for the customers. I had to ask her if she worked there in order to draw her attention from the book she was reading. I obviously irked her when I asked if the shirt I had been waiting for (for over three weeks now) was in...a shirt I had to return because I noticed it was damaged when I got it home. As she raised herself from the couch (God forbid you may actually need to get up), her curt response was, "No" and that I should "just pick out another color." "Um, okay, but I really don't want another color. If I did, I would have bought it." I replied. "Well, I'm not really sure what to tell you...it's on order." "Do you have any idea when it may be in?" I asked. "No, I don't." "Then I'd like to get my money back." I asked. She seriously looked at me like I just farted. "We have a no return policy, only store credit." as she points to a barley visible small black and red sign on a stand. Really? Black and red? Like anybody could see that. I'll spare you the rest... it just got more and more absurd...something about calling the fashion police, the owner's poolside in Palm Springs sipping a Skinny Margarita...blah, blah, blah. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place! If you want cool men's clothing, without the attitude, check out Topo Ranch just down the street. Peace, Sean read more

I had an unfortunate situation with a sales associate today. I purchased a hat for my father over the weekend at full price . It was too small so I went back today with my receipt to exchange: as I walked in I was alerted that everything was 20% off . I was planning on getting a tshirt for my father as well so this was a win win. When I went to the front counter the woman was not happy that I asked to have the 20% honored on the hat I bought 4 days prior. Her argument was that they are a small shop and don't operate like Bloomingdales. I wasn't expecting her to operate like a big box store but I was asking for logical retail practices. She finally agreed to honor the discount after some difficult exchanges. After she took my card and handed it back I just wanted to get out of there. I worked in retail for many years and sadly this disappointed me. Unfortunately I will not be going back. Oh, when it was all said and done I was not given the discount on the hat. I got out of there so fast I didn't check my receipt. read more

This is such a great store and has been around for a long time, now a rare fact in this time. I shop here for my husband gifts and my husband loves to shop here himself. There is always new clothing coming in. The shop is packed with merchandise and you cant leave without buying something. His selection of shirts and T-shirts and swim shorts are amazing. The prices are just right and it is still an affordable shop, maybe the only one on Abbot Kinney. read more

There is a ton of great stuff to go through here, so bring a stylish friend and spend some time.
