TBH, I only went in because it was Valentine's Day & they were making free coffee for customers! They had a small counter set up with 2 very pretty baristas making 5 different kinds of iced cappuccino & iced matcha. I got Earl Grey Iced Cappuccino & it was so good with lots of heavy cream! The store itself has Women's on the right side of the store, socks & hats display in the middle as a "divider", Men's on the left. I liked that they had their athletic pants in different inseam sizes! I wished they had some color to their clothing as their items come in black, gray, cream, dark browns. No pink, red, blue, etc. The fabric materials of the clothing felt solid and good quality. I browsed around but since I'm a city girl at heart, I didn't see anything I would buy. If you're looking for no-nonsense, comfortable, high quality clothing for your weekend hikes or outdoor activities, this would be the place.

The vibe at Vuori Abbot Kinney made this one of my worst retail experiences. As a BIPOC Filipina…read moreAmerican who grew up in LA, I have never felt out of place until I walked into this store. During checkout, the male employee assisting me (white male with long brown hair) was incredibly unfriendly and dismissive. The contrast in how I was treated compared to the white customers before me was impossible to ignore. When I gave him my email, which includes my last name, Ramirez, he abruptly turned the iPad toward me and said, "Here, you type it," in a rude manner. The implication that he "didn't know how to spell it" felt both unnecessary and disrespectful. I almost didn't complete my purchase because of this interaction, but I needed to buy pants for my husband. That said, no customer should feel uncomfortable or disrespected while shopping especially in a city as diverse as Los Angeles. Overall, this location needs to do better. Professional development and cultural sensitivity training would go a long way in ensuring all customers are treated with basic respect and dignity.

LOVE this latest addition to Abbot Kinney!…read more Went to the grand opening yesterday and instantly fell in love with the clean lines and cuts. All the shirts I tried on felt like some kind of technical cashmere, and more importantly, made me look sexy, like when Shrek's donkey drank that magical elixir and became a sexy stallion. Never thought athletic streetwear could look so sleek. Nike could learn a few things from this place. I believe this brand is from Australia, and what ever they're doing down under is on the up and up. Love the brand theme of #respectyouruniverse. Oh, can't forget a shout out to their super sleek backpacks. They're almost futuristic, but all kinds of practical. You have to check out their one-strap small backpack.... something even Boba Fett would sport in an instant (even has room for 2 lightsabers and a blaster too!). Prices are extremely reasonable, and you'll love the haute couture vibe. Super friendly staff too! Ask for Xavier (he has connects with the boss).

I love it's very comfortable to shop here and does not feel pretentious and uninviting. I was offered iced tea while I shopped, and got a few pieces that were great quality and fit. I love how they have a comfy couch and aromatherapy for others to relax while you shop, this is the only store right now in the US other then the NYC store. It's a Canadian brand which you know means fair labor wages and high quality!!

Mary, has not only become a friend; but her style and 'backbone ' are a welcome relief from the usual bland retail mentality. DO NOT BUY CUSTOM LEATHER JACKETS HERE…read more These guys have no idea what they are doing when it comes to measurements and tailoring and have terrible customer service to top it off. I wasted $1,600 on a leather jacket that's 10" too big for me and they won't exchange it or give me my money back. I stopped into the store one day, and a woman named Mary extolled the many benefits of a custom tailored leather jacket, mainly the specifics of how well it would fit. I bought one, and she took my measurements for it at the store. Nearly six months later it arrived and was WAY too big (see photo #1). We arranged for a return and she asked me for my correct waist size. I told her (and this is in writing via email exchange "I wear a size 32" jeans") and she assured me that would be enough for the correct jacket to be sent. Another nearly six months go by, and the new jacket arrives. And low and behold, it is again way off in the waist. I measured the waist (see photo 2) and it corresponds to a size 44" jeans. And now the store is accusing me of having worn the jacket and refusing to process my return, sent the jacket back to me, and refuses to answer my calls or emails. I spent a year dealing with these clowns. They are negligent and have no clue what they are doing. They got the measurements wrong not once, but twice in row! And now because they don't want to have to pay for the jacket (presumably the manufacturer is not to blame so they would be stuck with the bill) they are looking for loopholes in their return policy to stick me with the bill despite the fact that this is clearly their fault. DO NOT BUY THINGS FROM THIS STORE - THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING

However, a young man with curly hair at the checkout was engrossed in a conversation with two others about their classes, particularly focusing on queer culture. They discussed one of them working in retail and facing rude customers who refuse to leave tips after purchases. Regrettably, the clerk continued to disregard me, and despite my efforts to get his attention, I received no recognition whatsoever. I felt entirely invisible. I proceeded to the fitting room to try on a different size, but once again, there was no help available. Afterward, I went out to find a different size by myself. Eventually, when I thought I could finally get his attention since it was evident I wanted to check out, he began speaking to me. He casually complimented my hair color, but I was there to purchase shirts, not to engage in idle chatter. I couldn't help but reflect on the decline of customer service. It seems like there are many young people today who prioritize chatting over assisting, and focus on tips and queer discussions when immediate help is needed. After this experience, I have decided not to return to this store. I am weary of encountering these types of young people.
