I checked out other skaters store to look at their skateboard and I wanted to see what kind of selection this store has. They had some nice collection and I also check out their option of the trunks too. They have a sale going on their tshirts where if you buy one then the second one is half off. This hurts giving a 1 star to Boarders... I really enjoy shopping at boarders they have some cool things and I've shopped at many locations. But this location I don't know if it was an off day but customer service was terrible! I went in to get a gift for one of my friends and I saw a bag I was interested in, but it was too high. So I was looking around for help and I saw a guy and a girl hanging at the register area and one hanging outside of the register area on her phone. I know they noticed me cause the girls turned around and looked at me and kept talking and laughing. So I just left that area (which is right next to the register) and proceeded to look around the store. I was looking at shirts and then Still the girls just keep looking Not helping and playing on the phone. I had to give Myself customer service! Lucky for me I know boarders well enough to shop on my own. But if someone that doesn't know anything about boarders try shopping there they will leave without purchasing anything cause Customer Service is lacking! 1) Having your phone out on the floor while customers are around Very unprofessional (do that on your break or in the back) -- 0 2) Ignoring customer -- 0 I am sorry for this location cause with the other locations I've always had Great Customer Service. An okay store with some nice (but overpriced) products. Unfortunately it is staffed solely by high school students that couldn't give a fuck less about you, the customer. UGH the customer service in this place is WHACK. Every single time my boyfriend and I have gone in here to buy shoes or hats, they have absolutely no stock or different sizes for anything, and give you an attitude about everything. They won't even bother to check in the back for you for different sizes. Apparently, carrying a size 10 shoe is beyond this stores capabilities. They're rude and unpleasant and act as if you are BOTHERING them with your business. We're never going to bother this place with our money again, screw these douchebags. Other stores sell the same stuff anyway with much better service, and they might actually have different sizes in shoes, rather than just the one pair out on the floor. read more

This is a great place to get all your needs. You can ask anything of what you need to put on your board or bold a Board. It really feels great when you can talk to experts who can help you cater to your specific needs. Everyone is there ready to help and give you the best and have an excellent time from the conception of your board and have one you will grow and experience the best you can get and if you do not have enough you can just buy the board and when you save up you can finish you board in time . Strolled to pick up a new V/sual deck by Van Styles. He happened to be making an appearance at the Glendale Galleria and i needed a deck quick. I read the reviews before coming here so I already expected the attitude. Kids... what do you do? lol. A young worker helped me and was courteous by grabbing the deck off the wall and walking over to the cash register. The other two workers said absolutely nothing but this worker did offer some good customer service. He asked "Do you skate, Sir?" Now I could have easily thought he was being a smart ass but I then answered. "I used to, I just collect them now". We had a quick convo and I then wanted to see if it was just small talk. I inquired about some Huf socks. I noticed that they had infant/toddler socks that other stores didn't carry. I told him that I had to order online but now that I know they carry them, I may return. The discussion continued and I assessed that he is just a kid learning about customer service. Overall, I do see why the reviews are poor for this location. I can say that this guy did his best. I will return the next time I am in the area and need some skate stuff. The managers need to realize that this is the customer service that customers need when the CHOOSE to spend their money. I came to the store today just to look for some shoes for work. Whole staff is very welcoming, and there was an employee that was really tatted I believe his name was Aaron. He was unbelievably helpful right off the bat. He automatically asked if I need help and was able to point me in the direction of a few shoes that fit the description of what I was looking for. He had pretty good taste and knew his stuff and pointed out all the shoes I had my eyes on. I barely give bad reviews but this place is terrible. I literally had to force a guy to open the changing room because he was talking to his friend. After trying on clothes, I tried to ask the same guy a question but I feel like everybody get high before they get into work and couldn't ask him anything. I literally asked him for the price tag because the shirt didn't have it and he looked at me like I asked him if aliens existed. Honestly, the store is nice. Everything is a bit overpriced but what isn't nowadays? NOW let me tell you about the return policy. They have one paper sized sign saying there are no refunds. Away from the cashier. And the cashier guy is so doped, he doesn't tell me about it neither. Why does this store have a no refund policy? This store is in the Glendale Galleria. My wife recently told me that she called in to order a pair of shoes for my birthday. She asked if they had the Andrew Reynolds 3 in stock (black w/ gum colored sole/base.) They told her yes, and she went the next day. She picked up the shoes she requested and double checked before she left, just in case. Thank God. They gave her WHITE shoes. My wife says to me: "Ok. Now, if an inDUHvidual can't tell the difference between black and white, either you are color-blind or you just didn't pay attention in kindergarten." She got them changed, no fuss no muss. This place always run out of shoes. When school season comes around, it''s called, ORDER MORE SHOES!! So when I did finally get around to buying a pair I liked, the worker gave me the shoe that was on display. Come on! You don't do that! That's why they are display shoes. I have been shopping here for the last 10 years. I am always greeted with a warm smile and excellent customer service, by every employee ,whenever I walk in. It's so nice to see that they don't change employees like diapers. Occasionally, I'll see a new kid working but they soon become like family. For the last decade, the staff has always given me superb customer service. Boarders Glendale is my home skate shop, I go to them for everything my kids need. I just wish the owner developed a skate team like Val Surf and Mainline Skate shop has. I hate leaving bad reviews. And I really had high hopes walking into this store. Unfortunately the service is horrible. No one greeted me when I walked in (bad retail service) no one helped me when I wanted to look at emericas. (There were 3-4 employees having convos amongst each other ignoring customers inside the store) I had to walk up to the counter to interrupt their stupid convo that wasn't work related to ask to see a shoe & instead of ending the convo to help me they just looked at me and said "we probably don't have it in that size" they didn't look in the back or check in their system there was no effort to assist me or help me find something in my size.. When I asked more questions they gave me attitude you could tell the employees just wanted me to leave the store so they could carry on with their convo. You'd think cause they're on the 3rd floor and barely get customers they'd appreciate someone actually wanting to spend money at their store. I was willing to order shoes and pick up there no one offered that service to me. I came up to that counter 4x interrupting their convo to ask questions and it came to the point where I didn't even want to spend my money there. They have nice shoes but I'd rather buy elsewhere where Their more expensive atleast id feel welcomed....I work in the mall and I've steered future customers from going to your store thank you for your shitty service hope they remove you from the galleria and replace you w a better store w helpful employees that care about their customers. read more

I went to buy a pair of snowboarding boots from them and they were pretty much helpful. I told the salesman I wanted to buy the pair so he went to the back and picked up the pair for me. It came with no boxes so I was skeptical and asked the boss if he can give me them with a box to come with, but he said no since the boots were already cheap. Had a very great experience here the other day. I asked a gentleman named Phill for a beanie I was looking to purchase as a gift. He walked me over to where I could possibly find a beanie to match that of the one I had described. After searching for a few minutes he came up to check on me and see if I had found the one I was looking for but I hadn't so I picked another that was similar. He apologized and said they had probably ran out. I kept looking around the store for another gift for a few minutes then got back in line. Phill approached me with the beanie I had been looking for.
