BY FAR THE WORST STORE IVE BOUGHT FROM MY ENTIRE SOCCER CARRER. I bought nike hypervenom cleats from here a month ago. They fit perfectly and I was so excited to play with them. By my second game wearing them the soles started to fall off. It wasn't drastic and I wrote it off not thinking it would get much worse. In my fourth game in the second half I heard a pop. The entire sole had dislodged. And the shoe, which was once narrow fitting, had lost its shape. After this I did my research and found that they were made in 2016. And that hypervenoms had been discontinued in 2018. I went back to the store and the manager told me there was nothing he could do and to take it up with nike. I questioned that he was selling 9 year old discontinued shoes. And he gave the same response. Counterfeit Jerseys!! Purchased the Spain Away Replica, so I thought. Took it to Adidas since it felt off. They confirmed it was counterfeit. When I went to return it they told me they only offer exchange or store credit. I told them I knew it was a fake and that had proof from Adidas. They agreed to refund my money. Several days later they cancel the refund. I submitted a police report since they are aware they are selling counterfeits. Sketchy. Wonder how many other jerseys they are selling that are fake. Pay attention to the kit number inside the jersey. The jersey purchased from here reflected Corinthians from Brazil. Also look at the tag, should say Spain jersey instead of Adidas Jersey. Sometimes, online stores like Amazon cant service you the way you need. For example, our son needed soccer cleats and we wanted him to find the right fit. This store has all that you need. We picked up goalie pants, shirt and gloves as well. Having a storefront allowed us to try on the items before purchasing. In terms of cost, the prices were comparable to online but as I said, being able to try cleats and gloves on what a major advantage. I am also a volunteer AYSO Referee, so I needed Ref equipment. I came in from out of town with a very expired credit coupon worth several hundred dollars. The gentleman explained that it was so old California law did not require him to honor it. But he did. I got a great pair of boots and a ton of socks from their great selection. So I salute this place for its old-school notion of honor. We've come here a few times over the years and generally found what we needed for my son who plays soccer. We needed to stock up on soccer balls for team practice (my wife is the coach). We bought five balls; there weren't many to choose from in size 4. A couple looked kind of marked up, but I attributed that to their being jostled around in the ball bin. The low key but helpful young man behind the counter inflated the balls for us, and we paid and were on our way. By the time we'd spent a few minutes in soccer practice less than an hour later, one of the balls had deflated and wouldn't hold air, and another had become misshapen, with a big bulge in it. Cut to a few days later: I came back to exchange the two defective balls. The person who originally helped us was there, but an older man came out and dealt with us. He allowed us to exchange the balls, but was unsmiling and unfriendly. He lectured me about the ball with the bulge in it, telling me that the ball had been over-inflated. I think he was trying to imply that I was to blame. So I said: "the ball was inflated for me here in the store when I bought it." He just stared at me and said nothing else. In the end I did come away with five soccer balls that hold air. But when my ten year old son remarked on the unfriendly service, I knew I wasn't just imagining it. We'll shop elsewhere for our soccer supplies in the future. read more

They fit great in the store on their little astroturf mat, but then after running/cutting on grass i quickly learned they weren't right (the insoles kept sliding out the back). One of the biggest surprises, upon moving to southern California from CT, was the lack of soccer stores. I have to admit, part of me imagined SoCal would be a soccer haven: pickup games at every park, cleats sold at gas stations, soccer balls falling from the sky..... Well, it's not. Not quite, that is. One aspect of the soccer world that is truly lacking here in LA is soccer specific stores. So far, Soccer Stores in Glendale is the best I've found. What's great about them? Well.....on the first Tuesday of every month, everything in the store is 30% off. Outside of that, prices on regular products can be super cheap. I got my pair of Ronaldino's at buy one, get one free......so the cleats I purchased three years ago are still holding up (I'm on my second pair, but hey, I play A LOT of soccer). You can tell from the reviews the customer service can be hit or miss. It just depends on who you get. Certainly not enough to detract me from coming to the store. Once, I got there ten minutes before closing and they were already locked up. Begging and pleading got the doors opened for us. Also, I don't think they take returns, but we bought a pair of goals one year that ended up being defective, and since it was clearly a quality issue, the goals were returned for credit. I'm pretty sure it's family owned, which means you can barter and negotiate a little with policies like that. Obviously they want to do the right thing to keep returning customers. It worked with me. You don't really have many options in the Glendale area for a reliable and stocked soccer store with an amazing selection. It helps to have a store that is this close even though there are just a couple complaints with this Soccer Store in particular. Generally speaking, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Selection is not terrible, but they do have a tendency of running out of popular items (as is normally the case, you would imagine). The prices are what you'd expect, especially for new items, and occasionally you'll find a bargain on a jersey, ball, shoes, etc but almost rarely are they the right size -- which, again, is to be expected. Now, I've come here often enough to be both satisfied and disappointed. The disappointment comes from things I've overheard (e.g. overcharging for a Messi Barcelona jersey that was clearly cheaper than they quoted). At times, the service has been a bit lackluster and quite frankly, rude. But ultimately, the good outweighs the bad with this place and it's just nice to have somewhere to congregate with fellow football enthusiasts, sometimes finding rare gems like jerseys from seasons past being sold at a bargain. It's clearly worth your time as a footie fan, and though their selection may not be as wide as Pasadena Pro Soccer, it's still worth a visit. read more

Bought a Jersey here b4 and the service was ok. Customer service needs improvement upon last visit. I asked about a jersey and the woman said "No" and that's it and walked away. It was a Germany away jersey. This is totally uncommon right? I mean its Germany, who the hell wears that or has heard of that team. OMG There was no "We can order it for you or nothing". I buy a lot of soccer stuff and I usually go to my local store in Pasadena, well my girl decided to surprise me with the 100th anniversary Club America jersey in burgundy. These shirts BARELY dropped and since she lives in Glendale she stopped by this store to make the purchase...I was ecstatic when she surprised me with the jersey, I couldn't wait to try it on. Well when I get off work I decide to wear it to a Fourth of July party, like a moron I ripped off the tag and tossed the shirt on. Sadly the shirt was the expensive one ($150) and not the normal ones I buy ($90) so the shirt runs half a size smaller, I returned today with the tag, receipt and the jersey hoping they would do an exchange but I honestly expected them to tell me to get out of town (I've read a about a few people who had exchange issues) the young man who helped me out (I'm sorry I forgot your name but I'm positive it starts with the letter A) was nothing but nice and gave me the exchange and explained that next time he would appreciate it if I didn't rip off the tag next time. I was in and out in 5 minutes, I'm buying the yellow one in the next week or so and I'm buying my girl one to match...there's no way I'd go any where else! So first of all want to say that this is my favorite soccer store. They don't have the biggest selection IMO and customer service on a scale from a 1-10 I would give it a 8. I have bought many things at this store: Jerseys, soccer balls, shin guards, socks, training pants, cleats (Adidas Copa Mundials xD) and even small things like needles for my air pump, sleeves for my shin guards and ankle guards, patches, national team stickers and key chains, scarfs, etc. All in all they have everything you need and good customer service. But they don't have the biggest selection in jerseys and cleats. They do carry the jerseys for the teams I root for, so I will always come here. And I have the VIP card for 20% off any regular priced item. Rock on! P.S. even if I decide not to buy anything upon visiting the store I done get a bad vibe or anything, the way I do at some small sized shops. I really like having a brick & mortar soccer store, even if it's more expensive than shopping online for gear. Prices on some items are way too high, but they're mostly fair and in some cases excellent. I have bought a bag, many pairs of socks, and would have bought cleats here if they'd had my size in stock on the shoes I was looking at (Nike Premiers). Some items, as I said, are overpriced. Adidas Copa Mundials, for example, are $125 here. The MSRP is $120 and on adidas.com they are $100, so I don't know where they got the idea to charge $125. I am in their VIP program (I can't remember how I got that) which gets me 20% off everything, which is awesome. Even then, prices still sometimes aren't close to online ones. I bought a bag recently that even after the discount was still more expensive than buying directly from Nike or getting it from other sites, but I was willing to pay the premium to get to thoroughly examine the bag before purchasing. If you need socks, this is definitely the place to get them. Nike Park III and IV are $8 a pair, in all kinds of colors, which is awesome. I think the Adidas socks are similarly priced. Service is usually good and friendly, though when they are busy it can be tough to get any help. Jerseys seem reasonably priced and there are lots of sale racks with good deals to be found. read more
