Into this bleak retail landscape, Adidas has actually opened a new store -- a flagship boutique for its Adidas Originals line at the corner of Broadway and Eighth. Adidas Originals is the retro-inspired streetwear line bearing the trefoil logo known from the 1970s; this is not the athletics line of performance sportswear. Well-known styles offered here include the Gazelle, Superstar, Samba, and Stan Smith. Clothing and accessories are also carried here, much of it trimmed in those unmistakable three stripes.
