My wife wanted to stop by here when we were inside Glendale galleria to look at shoes for her work. She'll be on her feet during her 12 hour shift at the hospital so she was looking for something comfortable. When we walked inside the store they didn't have any guest so the 2 workers were very helpful to us. They brought my wife different shoes to try on and answered all her questions. She decided to get 2 different shoes, one for work and one for going out. She also got the shoe cleaner here as well since the price was good and the worker told her how to use them. I walked in with my partner and we were completely ignored however the lady that walked in after us was greeted immediately. We asked about some shoes and sizes and we were looked at like we were from outer space. The man working did not want to help us and didn't try to hide it. I felt like I was twisting his arm to give him my money. I work in the service industry and I am very nice to others who do as well so I was very disappointed especially since I really wanted to find some comfortable shoes for work. I asked him to see if they had a specific shoe in my size online and he said that style didn't come in my size. I went home and found them on the clarks website in my size but no I won't be buying them. Since it has been over 20 years since i have been into the Galleria, i had forgotten that Clark's was here near the Spectrum store as well as very close to the new (to me) Food court. Clark's is a British company that started in the 1820's and featured at that time shoes made for English school children. They also made the now famous "Mary Jane," strap shoes for boys which were ultimately deemed inappropriate for the Brit school children. Authentic Clark's Desert boots which are so far out of fashion that they are back in. And for some reason they were 40% off on some groovy colors. I choose a dusty mustard color. And they are very cool. I also bought a replacement for my dead dog hiking shoes which are working just fine. The Service in this shoe store is far removed from what i remembered from years ago. Years ago the salesman would help you on with your shoes, sitting in a stool looking thing. But that time is gone i guess except in Nordstrom. Now the salesman brought out what i wanted to try on and i wrestled them on. Sad i think that the personal kind of service is gone. Pricing is actually good: not too out of line meaning around 100- 200 bucks for these types of casual shoes. I like my desert boots so much i am going to come back in for other colors. I can personally vouch for the two ladies that helped me out. One of the young lady kind enough to help me bring two pairs of shoe sizes ! She las long hair, light complexion and spoke Spanish. A huge plus for me b/c I had my parents with me and they asked some questions in English but the lady had a feeling they spoke Spanish and kindly spoke back. The other young lady was also light complexion and had a short pixie cut she was also kind enough to explain at cash register how to properly clean my shoes. Customer service did not exist today by the light-complexioned young lady w/ a blunt cut and her manager. They were unable to process an online return because they said their system was down. They also said they could not call me when their online system was available. If you plan to do an online return in the store, call and ask if they will process your return so that you don't waste a trip. read more

I had a good purchasing experience, although I felt pressured to buy a shoe that didn't quite fit me and was upsold a leather protectant I didn't want. When I decided to return my unworn shoes, this store insisted that their "returns machine" was not working, but that I could make an exchange. I have checked with the store for a week now and have been told that the returns machine is still down and I would have to go to the Sherman Oaks store or return my purchase online. I've worked in retail, and although I'm not sure how the Clarks cash register situation works, in general there is not a separate machine to make returns. Usually a return is run through a cash register as a negative sale so that money is transferred back to the original card. Either this location has gone without a working cash register for a week now (highly unlikely for a high-traffic retail store in a mall), or they are not being honest. It could be very likely that they are trying to reduce returns to their location so they look more profitable to corporate. Very disappointed. read more

Absolutely rude and aggressive customer service! We had a return/ exchange, Henry or Herry ,the guy claiming he was the manager, told me i cant do a return because i dont have the receipt and supposedly there should be an extra lace in the box , he was absolutely very impolite and aggressive not even letting me explain , i told him we can do an exchange and i will give the extra lace to you right now , he didnt accept!!!!! We ended up raising our voice in front of our two little kids , he was not cooperative at all and i told him this is the very first time our kids are facing this kinda argument! I'm upset with the store employees and their system. I went in to get a pair of shoes, they didn't have it in store and the employee told me that they can order it and it'll be shipped to my house in 7-10 days. I ordered my shoes on the 8th and it's the 21st, I called the store and asked the employee to track it down for me. She basically told me my shoes have not been shipped and will arrive on an "unknown" date. I asked her how the system works because if I bought shoes and was told that I will expect them 10 days from now, I EXPECT THEM 10 DAYS FROM NOW. I was nervous about shopping at this particular Clarks after an amazing experience in Arcadia. Nervous not about the store, but fearing the sales clerks had been jaded in their dealings with the Glendale clientele. Fear not. Great service and another great Clarks experience. Admittedly, I was a bit annoying, asking for all sale shoes in brown in my size. The clerk didn't flinch. Brought them out, then a second round of different styles and sizes and I did end up buying a not on sale pair after we chatted a bit about different styles and how they fit. Buying shoes online is tough (I was actually returning a pair purchased so) and no one should really be buying anything with your grandma in tow. Stylish, no laces, and comfortable fit. Until I started walking at work - left heel kept squeaking with each step. I was not pleased at all with the service we had. I was with my 84 year old grandmother. It was hard enough getting her to the store to buy shoes. The 2 male workers never greeted us. Never came up to us. We look at us but say nothing. They both were helping one person. Looked like one of their friends. I can say, the man they were helping did buy something. After sitting and me showing my grandma shoes, for 20 minutes, one of the men came to us. I had 3 shoes for him to get us. He came back 5 minutes later with a shoe. I must preface this review by saying that I have been to this Clark's twice before. Both of those prior experiences were superb - the manager helped me out those times and truly made my shopping for boots fun, uncomplicated and efficient. HOWEVER, my experience today kind of wiped that out. I went in during a slow period around 3pm and was the only customer in the store. The we're three people at the counter, joking and laughing together - I was greeted by the female upon my entrance. I found two pairs of shoes I really liked and even carried them around the store for a full five minutes. However, after being ignored by the sales people at the counter who had their back to me, I put them back and left. The best customer service experience ever. I bought a pair of shoes 2 weeks ago from Santa Monica. I wore them once but somehow I wasn't feeling 100 comfy with my knee. Terrible customer service at this Clark's Glendale location. I brought in some receipts in which I did not receive rewards on. I attempted to see if this store location can help me with my request. The associate could not help me, so the supervisor, Helena, helped me. She was NOT any help at all. She essentially said she I could've already had points added from the stack of receipts I brought in. Basically ACCUSING me that I'm trying to earn extra rewards. First of all, I don't buy Clark's shoes. I was doing a family member, who does buy lots of Clark's shoes, a favor by redeeming the rewards for her (since she does not speak english). Going forward, I will NEVER support Clark's shoes, and absolutely NOT this store location. I took my husband to get some dress shoes he had seen while on a trip to Las Vegas. Unfortunately they were not available in his size so when he saw that they were at this store he was excited. When we arrived it was around 3pm and the place was nearly empty. we were barely greeted by the girl at the entrance with a half-hearted hello. My husband looked for the shoes for a while and kept looking over to the giggling fools they had for employees to get some help. After a few minutes he asked the girl at the register if that was all they had and she dismissively said "whats there is all we have" without making the slightest effort to help him find what he needed or even look for an alternative! My husband, not known for his cool was visibly upset but continued looking for another pair. He wasnt going to let them distract him. He found another pair, tried them on, walked around in them and still not a single person asked him if he needed help. I asked if he needed someone to help him since he was now walking around with the shoes but he shot me a hard stare and said in a loud voice for the employees to hear "I would rather buy these damn shoes online and wait a week or two that give any of these idiots any credit for the sale!" The ladies stopped and looked at each other and snickered. With that he dropped the shoes and we left. Either the manager is inept or they are trying to drive business away on purpose. great shoes and a solid brand for casual boots and shoes. i stopped by and was helped immediately. staff was knowledgeable and friendly. i luckily stopped by during a 20% off sale and walked away with a nice pair of dark brown suede Chelsea boots plus water repellent spray for a little over $150. the quality and prices of the shoes are both reasonably good. definitely will stop by again for more boots in the future. read more

Clarks in the Glendale Galleria is fantastic and Brandon did a wonderful job in getting the right shoes for me. The only complaint I had was that they wouldn't accept the 20% off coupon I had which was for shoes on sale only, but it does state it on the coupon in very fine print. He explained that "Big Brother" was always watching & pretty strict with the policy. The management needs to loosen it's reigns to give their employees room to negotiate or they could lose a very big sale and, even with the coupon, they are still making a very good mark up. read more

This review is not about the store but about the company. I received some Clarks for my birthday in July as a gift. I only wear them on the weekends and started to notice that the insoles on them have warn out. I Ernst to the store and they told me that they do not sell or replace the insole and to call customer service. So I called customer service and they told me to go somewhere else and get the insole. I told them that it has only been about 3 1/2 months since I received them. The person just said go to a local store and buy some new insoles. I know I could do that, but the problem is that the product did not last me six months. What ever happened to taking pride in your product and bashing it up. read more

Horrible customer service at this store. The manager has terrible customer service skills, his name is Jose. I walked in to return a pair of shoes I ordered from Clark online. Once he saw that I had a bag to return he immediately said that the systems are not working so he cannot accept the return. I asked how the store is operating with out the systems working and he didn't have any answer. I left and went to Clarks in Sherman oaks and exchanged my shoes without any problems. I asked the manager there to contact Glendale Clarks to confirm if the "systems" were really out of service and she was told that they were working as usual. I feel like Jose should not be working as a customer service rep as he absolutely does not have any proper skills. read more

Very poor customer service. Purchased shoes on 8/25/17 at the Camarillo location and tried to return shoes today with a receipt on 9/16/17 because the shoes don't fit right. The manager refused to take the return citing that they were purchased from an outlet store location. We showed him the receipt with the return policy written on the back of it. He still refused then also said that the style of shoes were from two years ago and that they were too old to return even though it was purchased less than a month ago. The whole time he was quite rude and argumentative. This is what is written on the receipt from 8/25/17, "If for any reason you are not fully satisfied, please return your unworn product with original receipt to your NEAREST CLARKS RETAIL STORE within 90 days for a full refund or exchange". Unfortunately will have to deal with corporate customer service for this one. read more
