Personally... the grumpier, more eccentric, or offbeat a shopkeeper is the more I love it. It's what us LA natives grew up with and it gives a place character and authenticity. If people have issues with character other than "hello how may I serve your pretentious entitled self today?" They should be shopping in a different neighborhood such as Beverly Hills. Regardless of what anyone says, this shop has the most beautifully curated collection of fine Japanese treasures and I will be a lifelong customer. Even so, Crissy took ownership of helping me track everything down and worked to find a solution instead of simply saying there was nothing she could do. That level of care made a stressful situation much easier. I recently returned to the store, and once again Crissy went above and beyond while assisting with my transaction. What impressed me most was that she remembered both my name and my wife's name from months ago without my wife ever being physically present just from conversation. That kind of genuine personal connection is rare and speaks volumes about the care she puts into every customer interaction. Before meeting Crissy, I wasn't much of an Adidas shopper. Her hospitality, professionalism, and commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience have completely changed that. She has genuinely influenced me to become a more frequent customer. Having worked in retail for 17 years myself, I know firsthand how difficult it is to consistently deliver service at this level. I would love to have many "Crissys" on my own team. Unfortunately, one person can change your perception, manager, Angelo. Walking into the store I was greeted by Romel, who was very polite, greeted me, professionally. Things were off to a great start! The reason for the visit was due to a purchase of a suit jacket over 400 miles away. It was one item of over $700 worth of clothes purchased. At that location, they had press the jacket and put it in a garment bag, it had never been used part of men's warehouse, Incredible, customer service, experience. In the move, the receipt could not be found but was available within men's warehouse account and was confirmed prior to arriving. After making a phone call. I was told an exception could be made for store credit if it is only the one item. So I begin looking for items in the store, and was planning to even buy additional items. It was in that moment a person walked up with the jacket and said "when you were done there, I have a situation to explain." I said sure. Is everything OK? Angelo said "well. This jacket doesn't have the tags." my response was yes. I had realized that when I opened the garment bag and explained they had been taken off when it was pressed by the other Men's Wearhouse. I am not sure what was done with the tags, but the jacket is unused and has never left the garment bag. He opened the bag and said the jacket tail flaps are open. Again I explained it's not their fault they were trying to help. I also once again said it was unused and within the return window. Angelo's response was, you'll have to call customer service. I was a bit throwing off, because first of all 1) Angelo did not introduce himself, I did not know his name or his position. 2) As a manager. My thoughts are you deal with situations and not pass them on, and especially did not even offer the number to customer service. 3) The approach taken was that you do not have the tags, and they should not have done that yet. What was the resolution to the issue? Why is that my fault or someone else's for showing a high level of customer service to begin with? 4) I explained that I was already here and had called prior and his response was well. They are not a manager. My thoughts were. The person had actually asked a manager. Someone showing excellent customer service should not be looked down upon for their efforts. Angelo made no effort. Still, I had not received a number a real resolution or even a name. I mentioned I would make an accurate review of these events and here it is. The positive experience with the Men's Wearhouse and those representing the brand and the less than stellar experience from a leader.
