Wendi was so lovely and knowledgeable about her stock! She had the coolest designer sunnies! Had to get them :)

Very safe place for shopping therapy. And you can discover great designer frocks, coats, and especially jumpsuits at affordable prices.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.

This was a great thrift store for specific Western, lo-Cal vibes. With a sprinkle of military garb…read more I thought the holdings were pretty sparse. They did have great, authentic silver and turquoise. Service was unenthusiastic.

Vintage Vortex is one of the best…read more This little big barn of 2nd hand fun and then some is located on Santa Monica Blvd (part of the Route 66 route) and Virgil Avenue in an all black building next to The Virgil bar nightclub. Serving it up in East Hollywood, they offer a parking lot with a main entrance in the rear. Open everyday from 12 PM til 6:30 PM showing casing some of the best unisex, women's and men's vintage clothing in Los Angeles. Decor with some hints of Star Wars, Western chic and lot of throwback vibes. The music is always good and their service is swift. The isles are pretty close together and the men's selections are a bit scattered up near the front parts of the store. Everything is of incredible quality so prices vary and often on the moderate to bargain side. Changing rooms on the side that are a good size and often in use. Good vibes and great lighting. You're bound to luck into some great stylish finds, accessories or miscellaneous trinkets and cool wonders. I don't believe they buy or offer trade in for your old clothes as everything here is incredible condition and that can be hard to come by the basically like new look. No restrooms for customers. Military discounts are available Looking for a thrifting adventure, "May the force be with you!"
