Like a secret James Bond villain lair hidden away, this amazing store and its owner Richard have the best taste in town.

Good if you want to pay a lot to dress like a Quaker. Strange store and vibe.

I believe the man and woman who were working there today, Richard and Miho (sp?) are the owners.

I've been visiting a lot of boutiques and gift shops on the Eastside and I've started to get a bit…read morebored. Simply put, I keep finding the same merchandise over and over again. Treehaus, on the other hand, had a ton of pieces that I've never seen before, either in Los Angeles or elsewhere. This shop carries a couple lines of interesting jewelry collections (I particularly liked the more industrial/brutalist of them), a range of adult and baby clothes and an interesting and eclectic line of eye wear. While the adult clothing skews toward femme, I would describe many of them as unisex, which fits the cool queer/feminist vibe of the shop. There were a lot of cool housewares that, again, I've never seen before. These range from the practical (metal soap dishes) to the purely aesthetic (fun art prints of famous spots in LA.) Lots of retro designs can be found to decorate your living space. Other things I really enjoyed: a human bone and organ ink stamp collection, fun notebooks and adorable stuffed animals. And of course, they had a great collection of books and cards. Prices were on par for quality. It's very middle of the road for a gift shop or boutique. The clerks on duty were friendly and personable. I would definitely have felt comfortable going to them with questions. I will definitely return the next time I'm shopping for a friend.

Fantastic store, little gem. Very courteous and professional staff as well. Will return!read more

Don't waste ur time coming here. Though their hours say they open in the morning, they were closed…read morewhen I showed up at 12pm. Then later around 3pm I happened to be driving by and they looked open, so I figured I'd give it another try. The doors were locked and said to ring the doorbell, after ringing it twice the owner finally decided to get up and open it only to tell me that I cannot come in because the store is "by appointment only". The store was completely empty, yet she wouldn't let me in. I went to this store because I saw a review on Vintage Vortex's page that said Vintage Vortex sucks, and to go to Cherry-pick because it is so much better. Well, after being turned away from Cherry-pick I went back to that review and realized that the lady in the profile pic is the lady who answered the door...the review was made by the owner of this store. So not only is the owner turning away customers, she is dogging other businesses and promoting her store on their yelp pages. Definitely not the kind of person I want to be giving any of my money to.. No where on the website, instagram, or yelp page does it say that this store is by appointment only. I drove 40 mins to get to this store, if there weren't other amazing thrifts in the area this would've been a huge waste of my time. Do not go here.
