The sandwich was served on toasted Thick Bread, a soggy, "Fryer-fat" non-crispy half breast of dry chicken, with limp bacon, wet lettuce, and tomato slices all on Dry Texas Toast. Shrimp Macaroni and cheese was lacking the creamy goodness of Mac and Cheese while the Shrimp were cooked with Cajun spice. This dish was no different than the rest. In conclusion I think Brooklyn's Down South suffers from Poorly executed food coming from an under-trained kitchen staff. Third time is the last time.

The place was very busy and the line was very long, but the staff was friendly and efficient in keeping the line moving when taking orders. It took some time before I received my burger because of all the orders. The free Little Hat burger was very tasty and I got my burger with cheese and added all the toppings. This restaurant also has amazing tater tots that are fried crispy with just the right texture. The restaurant has a playscape on site that is always popular with family and children. Hat Creek is always a solid go-to for a casual meal, especially with the family-friendly setup and outdoor space.
