Here are some of my thoughts: -The service was generally friendly and good, though my wife had to wait 10 minutes to get her food after they brought out mine. Not optimal. -We ordered the guacamole and chips for an appetizer. I thought this was the highlight of the evening! The chips were excellent, a little heavier and thicker than your standard tortilla chip. And the jalapeño was on the milder side and VERY good. -I ordered the California burrito. It was average. I didn't enjoy the meat, but the French fries inside were an interesting twist. Green salsa had a little kick and tasted good. -My daughter ordered the carne asada tacos, and she said they were just ok. And my wife got the flautas and didn't love them. -After a few minutes on the patio my wife spotted some spiders on the nearby cactus. This restaurant is a great place for a breakfast or lunch date. We went for breakfast. The service was quick and the wait staff were helpful for us first-timers. The building was small but didn't feel like it because of the layout. The food was good but didn't amaze me - for the atmosphere and price, I expected more. Atmosphere is quaint and space is limited, so having a reservation isn't necessarily required, but likely helpful during peak times. Service has always been friendly and fast. Drinks are delicious! This trip I tried the Carajillo which was a perfectly smooth and delicious espresso martini! For food, started with guac and chips. Fresh and delish. Tried a brunch platter of fries, chorizo, pico, cheese, and an over easy egg on top. Friends ordered fish tacos. Brunch fries not my fav, but they weren't terrible. Fish tacos were big chunky pieces of white fish and were great! Don't skip desert y'all! The churro doughnuts are hot, fresh and delicious!!! I came to meet a friend here on a weekday around noon, I was the first guest there and I really liked the ambiance in this restaurant. The indoor space is small but I liked the decorations and the basket lights in the ceiling. By the time my friend arrived and we ate lunch, the place was packed! Ma'Coco is a fun restaurant on Main Street in Downtown Buda. I met a friend here for happy hour and the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating options. The restaurant is very open and airy and they usually have all the windows open. This time I tried items from the happy hour. My go to drink is the Mezcal margarita and at $6 happy hour price can't beat it. I had the tuna tostada and the tuna is serrano & lime cured with cucumber, onion, tomato, cilantro. I also had the ensenada Fish Taco with beer-battered fish, cabbage, pico, chipotle aioli guacamole, chile. The fish was crisp texture and a good portion size. I usually get the chipotle aioli on the side because it can be on the spicy side for me. I have also had this dish as an entree which comes with 2 tacos and I have had the surf and turf quesadillas as well. I am a fan of the happy hour menu because of the great value and options. I literally have no complaints about this place except that it is pretty pricey. This is the best margarita I've ever had! the tacos and tortas and desserts. Are all to die for the quality of food is excellent. The service is great and the location is fantastic. We love having a place that has really delicious high-end Mexican food options, that aren't completely greasy and overwhelming. The happy hour options are really great and the salsa that are homemade and fresh are really delicious and some are not spicy and others are I try to find any excuse I can go to this place as often as possible! The flavors here are spectacular. Definitely 5 stars. So what makes it only 4 stars??? The place is very cute inside but also crowded unfortunately. And the biggest drawback is the high price of everything. $2-$5 too high for pretty much everything. Chips and salsa were very good. The red salsa is like nothing I've ever had (I will be back!) and the chips are definitely made in house. Thick crunchy and delish. But the price for a small bowl of chips and a little bit of salsa was $8 (should be max $6). The house margarita was $15. It was good, should be max $10. Our meals were really good too. The burrito was a really cool change up and had great flavor. Plus it came with more red salsa! It was $16 and should be more like $14. And 2 enchiladas verde were $20! Should be $16 max. Again - everything was fantastic and we will definitely be back. But we would live here if prices were better. read more

Almost reminded me of a resort restaurant in Mexico. You'll definitely want a reservation, petite dining experience with great, prompt service. Mezcalita is on point (little too sweet) and the Fish Tacos are amazing (need some more spice). Patio dining is perfect this time of year. There is a lovely outdoor area with several tables , we decided to eat outside since the hot day had cooled down a bit. We ordered the tuna tostada and I wish I had 3 more. The flavors were amazing. We also got the elote which were served as lollipops on sticks and were very tasty. My partner ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and I had the chicken salad. Both were very delicious.
