    Chips, salsa and queso
    Ruben C.

Nice family restaurant attached to a gas station While we decided what order, we got some chips and salsa. Both were pretty good. Salsa was just spicy enough to not burn your ass but keep you wanting more. Chips were fresh and crunchy. Ordered the mojarra frita (fried perch) and man, it was good. Served with crispy fires and salad. Done right. Wife got the sope which was huge and she enjoyed. First impression was great: clean, good service and good food. Want to go back and try the rest of their menu

Normally, I am impressed with the speedy service and kind hospitality that Chapala offers. However, I stopped in today for a quick carne con queso and guac for a snack and received this abomination. Mind you, this had a $5 price tag and was without carne. Highly disappointed.

    Machacado

Delicious food! The service was quick and the food was yummy. It is a casual place next to a gas station. I love the art on the chairs and tables! The machacado was flavorful and soft with a decent amount of meat. I would prefer larger pieces of meat but definitely satisfied my craving for machacado! The Asada taco was very good! The meat was salty and seasoned well and there was a good portion of onion and cilantro. The queso was thick and creamy but needed a bit more flavor. I loved how the corn tortillas on the mini tacos were lightly fried and the al pastor and campechano was very flavorful. The green salsa for the table was creamy, tasty, and lightly spicy.

Delicious fresh authentic Mexican food! It is tucked away connected to a gas station and definitely a must try. The salsa is spicy and the guacamole is the best I have had in a long time! 10/10 on flavor. Service was excellent as well. Quick place to eat at and will definitely be back!

Came in by chance. Was at the gas station and saw the cool looking chairs. Decided to come in for some Mexican food and was not disappointed. Quick friendly service. Great tacos and omelet. If I'm ever in the area I'll come back again.

As you walk in, you'll notice the building space has a store front where the sell other retail items besides food. You have to walk to the back to place your order at the counter, just follow your nose as you can smell the baked goodness in the air. You can see the bakers hard at work making everything fresh from scratch. I look at the display case of goodies and know I'll be leaving with more than I came on for. I look over the menu and order the croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage and 3 Danishes (cheese, blueberry, and strawberry). When they call my name, I pick up the order and find a seat in the neighboring spot which sell coffee, tea, and other drinks (see separate review for Meridian). The croissant breakfast sandwich comes with a scrambled egg, sliced link sausage and a green salsa that has a nice heat to it. The croissant itself it nicely toasted and just crumbles in your mouth as you take your first bite. The sandwich is hearty and will fill you up. When I get back home, I try the blueberry Danish and it's as good as it looks. Flaky crust with a great blueberry center filling. If you're ever in Buda, you should come and try the Teal House.

Meridian is in downtown Buda and is connected to Zoi Wellness. We were able to park in the parking lot across the street. Upon walking in, the space had a rustic loft feel with lots of greenery. The furniture made it feel very cozy. I honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop like this in Buda. The barista was very nice and gave recommendations. My mom and I both ordered Iced Pecan Pie Lattes which was a seasonal drink that they were featuring. We ordered our drinks to go, but then decided to sit in the cafe and enjoy our beverages. The coffee is legit! We both liked our beverages. I really enjoyed the pecan flavor and the sweetness level was perfect. The barista informed us that they make all of their syrups in house. I noticed that there were plenty of outlets for work or study. There's quite a bit of seating including couches. They have QR codes at each table that you can order from which is so convenient. In addition to coffee (which is served until 5 pm), they also have wellness drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. They have a nice sized stage for live music. I would love to go back in the evening for a cocktail and live music! I'm so happy to have discovered this gem in Buda!

We walked in, told the person at the front our name and were seated quickly. The restaurant is nice. It includes a little market in one section with various food items that you can purchase. There is also a seating area with couches near the market section. The restaurant has different sized tables for seating. Not long after being seated we were greeted by a waiter that did an excellent job taking care of us the entire time we were there. He took our drink order, gave us menus and some time to decide what we wanted. After a few minutes he brought us our waters and took our order. We ordered several items. El Olivo which is a garlic bread. It was okay. The bread was good. It was nice and warm and the garlic flavor was all on top. Whipped Feta which comes with grilled Naan and cucumber slices. The Naan was okay. It was a little cold and needed to be warmed up a little more for my liking but my kids ate it up. The cucumbers were fresh and crisp and the whipped feta was pretty good. It had a slight lemon flavor but not enough to where you could taste the lemon with every bite. Pork belly chicharron which had pork with avacado covered in a sauce. It came with tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were thick and crispy. Perfect for scooping up some of the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious. The sauce that covered it added flavor and the avacado was fresh. The Lamb chops came with Lamb, carrots and a puree. The lamb itself was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and was tender with each bite. The carrots were slightly sweet and the puree was soft. It was a good mix of different textures with each bite. The Truffle mac and cheese was a macaroni and cheese with chives and truffle flavor. This was very tasty. The macaroni was tender, the chives were spread out and added that slight onion flavor. The cheese was very flavorful. One of my kids ate almost all of this. Barbacoa Doughnuts which are mini doughnuts filled with barbacoa topped with a salsa. I don't really like barbacoa but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised. These were delicious. It was basically a soft and warm mini doughnut filled with flavorful barbacoa. The sauce on it added a slight spicy flavor. Patatas Bravas are potatoes with salsa and a garlic aioli sauce. These were very tasty. That salsa and aioli sauce are what gave this dish all of its yummy flavor. The potatoes had a crispy exterior with a soft interior. All of the ingredients mixed together made a very good side dish. One of my sons ordered the Dos Olivos Burger with Tater Tots. He said that the burger was okay. I tried it and I agreed. The tater tots were good. He ate those up with some ketchup. My other son ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwiches with everything on the side. He substituted a salad instead of the fries. He ate the salad up. He also ate the Fried chicken from the sandwich. He said it was good. He is not a fan of sesame seed bread so he opted not to eat the bun. I tried the red cabbage apple slaw that it comes with and it was okay. Lastly I ordered the Beet Salad which comes with beets, pears, and candied pecans. I don't usually eat beets but I wanted to try it. It was very good. The beet chunks were large and soft but not overly soft. The pears and the candied pecans added a crispier texture and the mixture of all of the ingredients along with the sauce that was on it made this a super sweet beet salad. Almost like a dessert. It was delicious. Overall the restaurant is a cool spot to visit. The market is a neat addition that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

We've gotten take-out from here but we finally dined-in for the first time! I felt special when…read morethey acknowledge that hehe plus you might get a little something possibly a little sweet. For parking, there is limited spots immediately in front of the restaurant, but there's a big lot right across which we went to first anywho! Walking in, there's a little bar to the left and the hosts are super nice. When guided to the table, the narrow area of seating lol people just be looking so I feel like they should paint it red on the floor so you're always like doing a runway walk...but I'm SO glad we didn't get seated there because it felt squishy. We got seated by a more open area and had a view of the playground which looks so fun for the littles!!! The menus are so clean, they weren't sticky like you might receive one at a more "bleh" breakfast place, you know it was just better here . They had a specials menu which basically caught our eye and mainly ordered off of that. Our server Erica was super duper nice, friendly, professional, and respectful! I didn't take any pictures of the place inside oopsies but mainly because I didn't want to invade anyone's privacy but it was nice seeing the others dine in there too like a little grandma meet up happening. Ordered: * (drink) raspberry peach palmer 7/10 * (summer 2026 special) champagne lobster omelet - not my meal just had a bite but with my taste buds it was too seafoody for me in the early morning but s/o loved it so probably 8.5/10? * (brunch speciality) hash brown Benedict with a add-on of the summer 2026 special raspberry white chocolate pancakes // okay writing this I realized I don't think I got any white chocolate in any of my bites or my s/o took it all. I loved the poached eggs on the Benedict were basically to perfection. It was so satisfying slicing through those eggs but I almost didn't want to break them definitely had a nice bounce lol. I really wish I could see how they packed the hash brown into those balls with the filling delish. I got the country potatoes as my choice I loved the little crispy bits they're my fave and like perfect amount of salt not too little not too much. We were given extra normal syrup for the pancakes and then adding the normal syrup made it seem like normal pancakes. And then clumps of like maybe brown sugar idk were just so hard to cut through... but it was so nice and soft, nice stack of whipped cream. 9/10 * the extra - Beignets. It comes with an orange marmalade jam I guess. It was a nice treat for sure! I guess I just wasn't craving it or in the mood. But it warms the soul, it felt like it just warmed me up!! Could not finish but wish we did bring it home haha wah. wasn't really wowed by the marmalade but it was still good I think if I had a coffee it'd be soooo much better so I need to order a coffee next time for sure 6/10 I can't wait to come back again. The coffees others ordered look SO good... defs needs to try one next time. Bathrooms - only one for each gender I believe and locked after once user. There were occasionally a fly in sight but common with the opened and closed doorways from both sides. Wait - none as well walked-in just a little under an hour after opening on a Thursday Seating - there are a lot of extra seating outside, I'd see how if you had like 6-10 year olds you could let them out and just play on the playground while you wait haha. In the morning the outdoor seating is mainly shaded and there are a few trees. There's a mix of booths and just tables. The walkway from the front where hostess is towards the back open area seating is kinda narrow but includes seating as well but makes it really cozy like you're in a diner if you get seated in the middle walkway I guess but I am just glad we didn't get seated there. Overall I highly recommend. Shoutout to Erica Thank you for being our server for our first dine-in... defs beats choosing takeout instead ! We walked it off to d&b's right afterwards but there's the park, and other stores galore around!
