We happened to find this gem while looking for a place downtown. Party of 3 seated almost immediately around 3p. The restaurant was quite packed but staff were attentive and friendly, great service the entire time. The menu is quite large with lots of great options. We did beef nacho appetizers, chicken enchiladas and tamale plate. Everything was delicious and tasted authentic. Would definitely go again

Favorite place to eat!!! Best Mexican food in the county. Staff is fast and super nice. Prices are awesome.

Garcia's is such a great spot in downtown Buda! The food is absolutely delicious and the margarita was super strong (granted, I'm a lightweight ). The staff is always friendly and the newly remodeled interior looks fantastic. We also love sitting on the covered porch which is perfect for extra seating and enjoying the atmosphere.

Pappa Ranchera potato egg and bacon.

I ordered a Papa Ranchera taco from Garcias Mexican in Buda, and to be honest, I was extremely disappointed. Anyone who's ever ordered Papa Rancheras here before knows exactly what to expect -- potatoes cooked in a flavorful ranchera sauce, with that signature red color and seasoning. What I received was completely different: just plain potatoes, eggs, and bacon in a tortilla, with no sauce or flavor. It looked like something thrown together without care, and definitely not what I paid for. I spoke with Esmeralda, who claimed to be the manager, and she told me this location is owned by a different family member and therefore "does things differently." I explained to her that the sign outside still says Garcias Mexican, and as a customer, I expect the same quality and consistency at any location under that name. That's part of what builds trust with a brand. Her response didn't address the issue -- and honestly, it made the experience even more frustrating. I've been a customer of Garcias for years and have always associated the name with good food and consistency. This visit did not reflect that standard. If this location is going to operate differently, customers deserve to know upfront -- or better yet, they should raise their quality to match the reputation that the Garcias name is known for.

This restaurant was recently reopened, and the food was absolutely delicious. I've been to another location before and enjoyed the food so I decided to give this place a try. The chips were very crunchy and complimented very well with the salsa. The shrimp were huge and very flavorful, the charro beans are highly recommended. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. If you're in town I recommend going to this restaurant.

My fiancé and I came here again for dinner last night, and had another great experience. Rosie was our waitress this time and she did a great job taking care of us. As for the food, the guacamole was solid. The steak Cozumel my fiancé got was really good. And the fajita quesadillas with chicken were solid, with a very large portion size. Prices were very reasonable too. Another good experience here. We will be back again!

I had the Garcia's deluxe. I've been to this location since it opened and it's consistently great. Nothing was left in that picture. It's a lot of food at a great price/. Great bang for the buck at $13.95. The waitresses was very attentive and the atmosphere here is your typical central Texas home converted into a restaurant. They play recorded conjunto/tejano music while dining in.

I'm never sure how it's going to go at ethnic/cultural restaurants, but since I LOVE non-American food I was up for giving Garcias a try... The waitstaff we had was awesome! She helped make sure my omelet was cooked separately so it was truly gluten free... and it was delicious to boot! Hubs had some other thing that he said was delicious and honestly, I was so enamored by my delicious, huge omelet I hardly paid enough attention to grab a photo of his food. It's a bit of a tiny place, but homey and felt like family. I'm so glad our local friend recommended it and we took time to meet her there!

The menu has changed, the portions are noticeably smaller, and the prices have gone way up. I don't mind paying for good food, but I do expect the food and experience to justify the price. This is starting to feel like the prices of the downtown tourist spots, as if they think we're in Fredericksburg. Most of the people who live here are hardworking, middle-class families. We don't mind spending money, but we shouldn't have to pay premium prices for smaller portions simply because a restaurant has a Main Street view. Sadly, this used to be a favorite of ours. It isn't anymore, and we won't be returning. Start looking at why places are closing down, because you're NOT getting community support! I wonder why? I would like to say that the service has always been good it's just the prices and how they charge for everything separately now.. nope!

Cristiano shared that their cinnamon rolls have won awards, which naturally made us curious enough to try them ourselves. Quite honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. The cinnamon rolls were soft, flavorful, and loaded with icing. If we had to make one suggestion, it would be to offer a version with pecans, our favorite type of cinnamon roll. This place knows pancakes with four all the time specialty flavors (pineapple, strawberry, cinnamon…read moreroll and banana), one specialty (currently sticky toffee) and the basic buttermilk. While they claim to be a breakfast / brunch restaurant, all of the options I saw on the menu are breakfast options (no burgers, no salads, soups, sandwiches, etc ). So if you like endless variations on eggs and some creative pancakes / French toast this place is for you. If one or more in your party want something different, they may not feel very excited with the menu. They have quite an extensive menu beyond pancakes if that's not your thing. They have a specialty bacon that I really enjoyed with a stack of strawberry pancakes. The wife went with two eggs, two bacon, hashbrowns, substituted the sticky toffee pancake for the bread options. She thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, bacon and pancake. The hashbrowns were a bit of a miss. They tried to do something unique with the potatoes and they were not the right texture, being on the mushy side of things. Service was competent and prompt. The wife had decaf coffee and while it was quite good, our server could have been more attentive in keeping her cup full. The inside decor seemed unremarkable to me. With no partitions to speak of, it was louder than most places. On the positive side, it we clean, comfortable and well maintained. Definitely a place to return to when we are in the area looking for brunch.

For parking, there is limited spots immediately in front of the restaurant, but there's a big lot right across which we went to first anywho! Walking in, there's a little bar to the left and the hosts are super nice. When guided to the table, the narrow area of seating lol people just be looking so I feel like they should paint it red on the floor so you're always like doing a runway walk...but I'm SO glad we didn't get seated there because it felt squishy. We got seated by a more open area and had a view of the playground which looks so fun for the littles!!! The menus are so clean, they weren't sticky like you might receive one at a more "bleh" breakfast place, you know it was just better here . They had a specials menu which basically caught our eye and mainly ordered off of that. Our server Erica was super duper nice, friendly, professional, and respectful! I didn't take any pictures of the place inside oopsies but mainly because I didn't want to invade anyone's privacy but it was nice seeing the others dine in there too like a little grandma meet up happening. Ordered: * (drink) raspberry peach palmer 7/10 * (summer 2026 special) champagne lobster omelet - not my meal just had a bite but with my taste buds it was too seafoody for me in the early morning but s/o loved it so probably 8.5/10? * (brunch speciality) hash brown Benedict with a add-on of the summer 2026 special raspberry white chocolate pancakes // okay writing this I realized I don't think I got any white chocolate in any of my bites or my s/o took it all. I loved the poached eggs on the Benedict were basically to perfection. It was so satisfying slicing through those eggs but I almost didn't want to break them definitely had a nice bounce lol. I really wish I could see how they packed the hash brown into those balls with the filling delish. I got the country potatoes as my choice I loved the little crispy bits they're my fave and like perfect amount of salt not too little not too much. We were given extra normal syrup for the pancakes and then adding the normal syrup made it seem like normal pancakes. And then clumps of like maybe brown sugar idk were just so hard to cut through... but it was so nice and soft, nice stack of whipped cream. 9/10 * the extra - Beignets. It comes with an orange marmalade jam I guess. It was a nice treat for sure! I guess I just wasn't craving it or in the mood. But it warms the soul, it felt like it just warmed me up!! Could not finish but wish we did bring it home haha wah. wasn't really wowed by the marmalade but it was still good I think if I had a coffee it'd be soooo much better so I need to order a coffee next time for sure 6/10 I can't wait to come back again. The coffees others ordered look SO good... defs needs to try one next time. Bathrooms - only one for each gender I believe and locked after once user. There were occasionally a fly in sight but common with the opened and closed doorways from both sides. Wait - none as well walked-in just a little under an hour after opening on a Thursday Seating - there are a lot of extra seating outside, I'd see how if you had like 6-10 year olds you could let them out and just play on the playground while you wait haha. In the morning the outdoor seating is mainly shaded and there are a few trees. There's a mix of booths and just tables. The walkway from the front where hostess is towards the back open area seating is kinda narrow but includes seating as well but makes it really cozy like you're in a diner if you get seated in the middle walkway I guess but I am just glad we didn't get seated there. Overall I highly recommend. Shoutout to Erica Thank you for being our server for our first dine-in... defs beats choosing takeout instead !
